While I only had this a week so far , it has a wonderful feel and comfortable ride . Some of the quality was lost in the riveting and name badge install which was 10 degrees off ,rivets looking like something used to make a carpenters leather nail pouch . I expected more for almost 200 clams .Otherwise its flawless the leather is dry as plywood till you add some oil or conditioner . The seat has an amazing roll on the rear spring suspension ,staying in contact with your bottom as you pedal . I posted to a friend you need to be 200 lbs and over a 36 inch waist to be wide enough to cover the seat and weigh enough to cycle the springs .Sorting through all possible seat post mounts and adapters ,the one supplied with it is OK for simple beach bikes or commuters ...

This saddle is the most comfortable I've ever ridden. That said, there are several annoyances that could probably have been engineered significantly better... First, and most important, Brooks lists this saddle as their most "heavy duty" model, implying that it is intended for heavy riders. However, the clamp that is supplied with the saddle is woefully inadequate for the intended use. You can tighten the seat-post clamp until you strip the nuts, but you'll NEVER get it tight enough to prevent the saddle from tilting forward or (usually) back while you're riding. This is not only inconvenient and uncomfortable, it is also dangerous. Having a seat unexpectedly tilt under you can cause you to lose control of the bike!

This is a GREAT seat !!!! I have tried all of the other so called "comfortable seats" .........and they were ALL a waste of money. I even resorted to building my own bike seats since I could not find anything that worked for me. That's when I came across this seat (saddle). The double springs caught my attention, along with the 100% leather construction that will mold to your butt over time.The first time I sat down on this seat I KNEW this one was the one I have been looking for. It's like my butt has finally found heaven. The suspension works great to absorb any bumps on the road. I know it does not look comfortable (no gel or foam)........however it is all in the design of the seat and the material.

Was extremely comfortable right out of the bag. 7 miles to agony before Brooks B190. 20 miles without problems after. I did not notice a needed break-in period. But I'm not riding 100 miles (yet). If you're on the fence, it's a lot of money. It is heavy. But "agony" is not part of my conversation when describing this seat. It moves a little, which seems weird for first ride, then you pass where pain started before, and you have none. Then you pass the agony, I'm done mark, and there still is no pain. It was worth it. Weight savings help on start up and hill climbs. Barely any time for a non-racer like me.

The rails busted after 1 year of consistent usage. It is not repairable. Return policy is only valid for 30 days.It requires a straight post so I had to get a converted post for my hybrid.I wish the horn wasn't soo long.Because I am usually sitting and not a light weight, the metal reshapes under the leather and can create a bit of a pokey spot on your legs.The metal rivets in the back of the seat - if it is not flush, return is ASAP, otherwise it'll rub you wrong.I loved that it didn't have to be broken in. I put it on and rode until my hearts content, until it broke.

Everybody tried to talk me out of putting this seat on my mountain bike but I did it any way. It was a great decision. The seat is awesome. I have had narrower Brooks saddles in the past and loved them. I am getting back into mountain biking after retiring and the seat was much easier on the backside so far. The narrow seat just was never comfortable for me.

Can't fault the quality. This is a big and heavy piece of kit though with a lot of metal - be sure that you are not too bothered about aesthetics on your bike! I'm using neatsfoot for treatment and it seems perfect. Not fitted to bike yet so can't comment on comfort but looks like it should be big enough for my body!

This seat is a work of art. It will be the focal point of any bike you put it on. It does take quite a bit of riding to break it in, but it isn't horribly uncomfortable right out of the box. It's pricey, but it does look damn good doesn't it?

Brooks still governs the quality saddle realm. No substitute for a real, well-designed and manufactured leather saddle. My butt can testify to that from thousands of miles ridden on a wide variety of synthetic saddles.

Great seat when wanting superb comfort and quality craftsmanship! I drive a pedicab about 30 miles a day here in Arizona and absolutely love my B190. You will not regret getting quality!!

This saddle gets better everytime I ride. (must be broke in) I would give it fives stars if the price where a little lower.
