In summary a pair of poles that will be be good enough for hiking and trekking, unless you want something super durable for extreme uses., than maybe more research may be need.Recieved these items as described they are very simple and easy to assemble, which I mean, it is quite intuitive. If you are worried about wieght, they are fine. They are durable will do the job unless you want them to continually take your full wieght, you might need to find others. I researched probably 20 different poles and chose these due to collapsable size and weight and happy with the purchase.

We took these on a trip to the Adirondacks a week after getting them and they performed very well. Easy to set up and collapse once you figure out how to do it correctly (it did take 5-10min of practice to get it right). The poles are quite light and pack up small. The extended handle that allows you to choke-up for short climbs was a nice touch as well.

I bought these poles just before a 6 days hike and they have not disappointed. Light to carry, easy to fold/adjust and sturdy to the use. I cannot find any fault.

Small pack size, fits in every backpack. Adjustment mechanism simple and fast. Highly recommended.
