After using adjustable poles once and having them buckle under pressure, I immediately knew that I would always use fixed length poles going forward. I had the old version (blue) until I accidentally left them on the summit of Mount Elbert, which was fine because they had bent a bit. Immediately bought this updated version along with the $6 or $7 snow baskets. I immediately took these new ones on an insane dayhike covering 21.5 miles and 7,400ft of vert up to the summit of Pikes Peak. Felt just like the old version. Perfect and actually felt stronger than my old ones.I'm about 5'5" and use the 110cm. I bought the 100cm for my girlfriend, she's about 5'0".

These are great walking poles that fold down to a really compact size so I can carry them in my backpack.As others have mentioned, it took a while to work out how to assemble and re-fold them again, but once I understood how it works, it's really simple, quick and easy.I've used them for a couple of walks so far and have been really pleased with them. I'd never hesitate to take them on a walk with me as they are so light and pack away so easily that it doesn't matter if I don't use them.

I have been out a couple of times with these poles and they are really a nice to have on uneven terrain. They are easy and quick to extend and lock into position and seem light weight, however these are my first poles. The small basket on the poles in perfect in the sandy and leaf covered trails in North Fla. Grips are comfortable and resistant to sweat. I am very happy with this product, and they look cool also.

Very light. Surprised at how compact they are when folded. The folding system works easily. The poles seen sturdy but may have more flex than a solid pole (but none of the convenience if you wish to stow them away on a hike or run). On a quick three-mile hike I got a little rubbing on my thumb from the straps. Overall, a great value on a very good pole that I think will do exactly what I bought the set for.

I used these poles for a Grand Canyon trek, and am very happy with them. They are light, but sturdy enough to provide stability on the icy trail going into and out of the Canyon. They assemble and disassemble quickly and are very compact to fit in my pack when I'm not using them. I should have gotten these years ago!

I bought these to use in Glacier National Park and they did not disappoint. Super light weight and high quality and very comfortable grips. They collapse and fit perfectly in my backpack's mesh side pockets. My parents were so impressed with them, that they bought them for their next hiking trip.

I've used other Z poles before, while they were easy to deploy compared to regular poles, it could be hard to collapse them. The lock could also be hard to access sometimes. Black Diamond well designed lock and the connecting made it so easy to deploy and collapse. This is favorite poles by far!

I have been impressed with these poles. They are lightweight and sturdy on long distances in the mountains. They are a life saver for river/creek crossings. At one point I fell recently on the trail and watched a pole bow out and straighten right back out. Definitely worth every penny.

I tried many different hiking poles and these are my favorite! Great price, light weight, and the grip is comfortable when putting your weight on them on the downhills. I tried others and the swing weight on these are great if you tend to hike at a faster pace.

took these(brand new) on Canadian Rockies trip & loved them! Quick to deploy & rock solid. Was worried about the inability to make them shorter in specific instances(like the locking lever styles), but found the fixed height to be a solid anchor. Gr8 product!!

Will not dayhike without these poles again! They redistribute some of the stress from your back/legs, and give you a bit more traction and balance. These are not carbonfiber, but are still light enough to use all day. They also collapse down for easy packing.

I am a tour guide and have used many brands and styles of trekking poles. These collapse smaller than others, and fit into a ruck sack better than others. They deploy rapidly and are VERY sturdy. I am 6'3" and 280lbs and these poles have never failed me.

Lightweight, compact and with excellent design they are ideal for trail. I prefer them over the carbon rods, since they flex and do not break so easily, and the difference in stiffness does not make a difference in their performance.

Excellent product, I had a little doubt if they would be firm and stable enough for trail running ... and I used them for the first time in an ultra 100k and I was very satisfied, no sense of fragility. Excellent product.

Used them in Colorado around Estes Park and Kentucky mountains. Held up were well so far. Good quality and very light. I would recommend Watch YouTube instructions how to assemble before using them. Thank you.
