Perfect!We've got two Petzl Meteors (version 3 and 4) and an Elios in the house. The Elios is fine if you just want protection from falling object, but personally I'm more concerned about hitting my head in a gnarly lead fall. Here, the Vector has a clear advantage, as it comes down at least an inch farther on the back and temples, providing a lot more coverage in the event you get flipped by the rope and slam into a cliff backwards.Expecting it to be glossy, the orange one I got is actually matte and looks pretty damn sweet. Adjusts easy, light, relatively well ventilated. This is a really fantastic piece of equipment, though I do miss the snazzy magnetic buckle on the Meteor.

Not a tremendous amount to say here other than I love this helmet. It's incredibly light weight and very comfortable. If your climbing, I definitely recommend this baby to protect your noggin. My only complaint whatsoever would be that you do need to use both hands to adjust the back strap. So if your halfway up and extended climb and feel you need to loosen or tighten it, your SOL. However, I've found that once on my head, if adjusted properly, I forget it's even there. It's that light.

Awesome lid. Light weight, comfortable, cool (both in temp and looks). Bought it to mount my GoPro and it works great. I have banged the crap out of it on multiple climbs and it keeps on ticking. It is dense foam covered with very study, lightweight plastic shell. Comfort bands inside serve as sweatbands (and holy cow, do they hold a lot of sweat!) and padding. You will not be disappointed.

I just got back from a two day ice climbing event using this helmet. It's incredibly light and comfortable, I actually forgot I was wearing it most of the time, and he protection was top notch. It has a few dings in it already from a small ice shelf breaking apart and coming down on top of me on day two, I would definitely recomend this helmet for both ice and rock climbing.

This is my second of this model. The clip broke on the first one and I ordered this to use until the new clips arrived from Black Diamond. It's very comfortable, I hardly notice it is on. I can easily adjust it with the ratcheted slides at the back of the band, so I can wear a beanie under it in cold weather. I bought orange this time for visibility

Way lighter than you're expecting, tried on 12 different brain buckets at local shop. Main use: trad & sport climbing. Much better feel and fit than my old petzl, plus side impact foam and total ventilation make it top pick. I have a big head and the m/l is a great fit. The white color also kept it cooler on long multipitch in summer sun in CO.

This helmet covers much more of my head than my previous helmet (Petzl). What is most amazing is the comfort. I totally forgot that I have it on, to the point that when I get in my car at the end of a day I often find out I still have it on because I bump my head against the car as I get in it.

This was true to size, lightweight, and breathable. Best of all, my son's girlfriend is finally wearing a helmet while climbing! She loved the green touches... Her favorite color. She was excited to try it out immediately, so she wore it while doing the dishes.

Nothing wrong with the helmet itself, but it was manufactured Feb. 2018, thus reducing its lifespan one full year (out of five years shelf life, only 4 service years remaining).Be careful to note this when ordering this type of equipment

loved this helmet, super light and super comfortable. came down off of a chimney climb and had scratches all over and didn't even notice hitting my head that many times. Also the hard plastic is way more reliable the straight up foam.

This is a perfectly adequate helmet for the price. You could spend a little more and get something that doesn't dig into your scalp as much but for now, this will do the trick.

Super light and comfortable. Sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. The ventilation works really well. This helmet was a major step up from what I was using.

Bought for my wife. It's very light and protects your noggin. It does scratch easily, but if you're actually using it, it will scratch regardless.

Bought it for an old schooler. He's taken it to the Gunks & a few other crags & loves it.
