Functionally this trekking pole is designed very well. However after only a 2 day 25Km hike in wintery conditions the middle section of 1 of the poles does not slide in as easily as it did. It appears to have bent slightly but is still usable. I'm a 70Kg male, the pack I was carrying was about 16Kg, the only testing part of the hike was a very steep decline of about 1Km and I was protecting a year and a half old ACL knee reconstruction. I liked the grip size, style and wrist strap is extremely comfortable, no blisters. All things considered these trekking poles preformed well.

Took these to Macchu Pichu and they were perfect. Make sure to buy the tips that go with them. It's nice to have the women's sized poles--grips also very nice.

I have been using them hiking in Iceland, they are lightweight and perfect for my needs !
