These are excellent trekking poles, with comfortable grips and light in weight. The main advantage is the flick-lock adjustment system, which avoids the usual twisting method. On all the previous poles I've used the adjustment is a fiddlesome business, as you never seem to be quite sure which way to twist the pole and it's usually made extra difficult, certainly in Britain, by cold fingers!My only disappointment was that no rubber tip-protectors were included, which seems a bit mean. Both the normal baskets and snow baskets are provided though.

I hill walk most weekends. The hills here in Ireland are boggy and very rough terrain. The black diamond poles are great to steady you in these kind if conditions. The wind is a problem in the last 5 weeks and again the poles helps to keep you upright. Great value for money and a strong light pole. This is my 2nd pair, lost part of my 1st pair.

I use these for hiking munro's in Scotland. I've used them numerous times now and can say they are extremely durable and lightweight. I'm in my twenties and I can definitely tell the difference in my legs, in terms of aches, are significantly reduced. Please make sure you know how to lengthen and secure them properly before use.

Used this poles in my hikes in the Alps (two trips of one-full week of hiking). These poles have been great with any weather condition (rain and muddy grounds for example) and extremely well performing on rocky paths.Would never hike without them.

I enjoy using these poles as they are so lightweight. When walking distances it is so important to have lightweight poles. Even a few ounces over a period of several miles make a difference.

This is the second time, I bought these poles, as it is really hardworking and survived my aggressive use on Elbrus last year, where I lost the old one under the snow after the tricky storm.

Excellent, light and very comfortable. The catches can easily be opened with cold fingers unlike the more common twist-and-lock system. Recommended.

Delighted. Really perfect, sturdy and light. Already tried out on Mt Kinabalu in Borneo. Others suffered breakages, ours were brilliant.
