I have bought two of the 10Ft versions, one with the cork and with the foam handle and they have a firm action, very well balanced and terrific casting action with even the smallest spinner. Fantastic for trout fishing. I wouldn’t entertain the shorter versions. The only drawback on both versions is the reel seating that is cheap and nasty. I can’t believe Abu spent so much time on the blank and eye fittings (very smooth) but made a naff reel seating.

Nice rod! If your expecting the cork handle though, you will be disappointed as they are the cheaper black foam type.Nevertheless, it's the sort of quality that I would expect from a rod with ABU stamped on it!

Over expectations... for wrasse fishing...caught 6 fish in the first two day! I'm using it with a little bit too thick line (0,25) but still casting light lures very far... today I'm going again!
