I needed a Spinning Outfit as I intend to do some serious Predator Fishing later in the year and as I have a good looking, quality multiplier I needed a new rod to match the looks and feel of the reel. I'd seen pictures of the "Abu Garcia Devil" in various Magazines and Web-Sites. The name "Abu Garcia" is synominous with quality and it looked the part. Next job was to trawl the internet and I found the best deal by far, and another name one can trust, and that was with you guys, ie; "Amazon".Best price, prompt delivery and a beautiful rod which I have used once, in "ledgering" fashion of all things, on a small local "natural" Pond/Lake and caught a Roach, three Bream and a beautiful three pound approx.,

This rod is a must buy for any angler. Especially lure fisherman. I have the 5-15g 7ft version paired with a shimano hyper loop 1000 reel. Iv had chub to 4.5lb. Trout to 4lb. Pike to 7lb and it handled them all brilliantly. This rod is amazingly strong and light giving you the confidence to use it all day. It has great styling and can't be beaten for price. Honestly if you can find a better rod for the money please let me know. This rod is probably better than most rods 3x the price. It has a great through action and the blank is nice and thin. The cork handles are also very good. I will definitely be buying another in a different casting weight soon.

Really nice rod built far better than the price suggests , I was amazed by the quality of the 7ft version when I unpacked it , perfect for jigging for perch and small jacks with small rubber lures in and around weed beds etc , these rods are that good I intend to get more of different lengths and test curves to cover the whole range of spinning techniques , to be honest I cant see the need to spend anymore cash on getting more expensive makes as these are flawless in everyway ! one thing to note is they don't arrive packaged in any form of a rod tube , just corrugated cardboard wrapped over the rod bag so not the most bombproof of parcels , other than that buy with total confidence !

Upon using the 7ft version of the rod I was very excited to see what such a small rod could do, unfortunately the lake we went to didn't allow spinning so I had to use it for match carp fishing which wasn't too much trouble at all in fact it was fantastic! The light action of the rod means your doing a lot of the work but also means you feel everything the fish does! I do feel if you were to get anything above 12lb you would be in for quite the fight as the rod was bent fully on some of the harder fighting carp of the day and none of which came close to double figures, that being said it's a fantastic rod and would buy again!

Bought this rod because I needed a good caster. I have always trusted Abu Garcia products and this rod hasnt let my expectations down, excelent quality rod made out of good light materials nothing bad to say. When casting there is a good action on the rod and its light weight really helps to stay on the water for a few hours without your hand getting tired. The rod comes with a cloth protective case. I live in Ireland and delivery was less than a week. So good rod over all and allready recomemded to my brother.Tight lines.

I went for the lightest weight rod size available (5"6) and matched it with a 1000 reel loaded with 10lb line. A fantastic combo which helped me have a good session last week. Not the stiffest of rods, but this did not hinder the jig action or the accuracy of a cast. Easy to carry for a whole day session and great if you can get close to the waters edge and do not need the reach of a longer rod. Through action is good too and a like the (I think) faux cork handle. Makes playing anything larger than a perch great fun too!

Love these little rods. The 5.6ft is ideal for jigging and dropshotting for perch and smaller pike - every fish puts up a great battle as the action is so light. I can understand how some people might snap the tip, but if it's looked after (eg with rod protector sleeves) and not chucked around too much, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't last many years of use. Liked the rod so much I bought one for my son. Just wish there was a loop for retaining the lure when folded.

A great little spinning rod for the money , I got the 5'6" version for trout fishing and light lure fishing for bass . Delivery on the other hand was piss poor , 8 days to deliver a rod from Birmingham to Pembrokeshire with royal snail . I could have driven to Birmingham bought the rod and driven back in 8 hours .If your looking for a light spinning rod that fits in the car boot then this is it , if you want it in a hurry then order from your local fishing shop

I've not had a chance to use this rod yet, but it's what I'd expect from Abu Garcia, it's well balanced, lightweight and well made.The Package arrived in good time, however the box had been damaged in transit causing a split to the top section of the rod, making it unusable.The seller was very good, they arranged for a replacement top section to be sent out to me, so i have no complaints and in my experience they are a very good company.

This is the third Abu-Garcia rod in my collection, and was purchased because the other two had given excellent service and much pleasure too. Perceptively stiffer than my favourite 10ft "Enticer Pro" match rod, it can tackle ledgering and Method fishing, and is still fine for float work too on my rather small local lakes. Astonishing value and with free delivery from Amazon in the ultimate eco friendly package! Thoroughly recommended.

This rod seems very high quality and looks amazing, it is light and very well designed and comes in its own bag. I have only given it four stars as i don't know how it will perform on the water yet, But i think it will be good.Kayak fishing is very hardwearing on your gear, Thats why i like the cheaper option as if i was to loose it on launch or recovery it wont be that big of a loss, where as a expensive one would be.

Got the 9ft version and couldn't be more delighted. The finish on the rod is superb. The balance is great and it has real power in it. In the past rods at this price have had the backbone of a wet dishrag! This however is totally different and has a quality feel.You know that you can fish with confidence that there is plenty of power in reserve. Great rod at a great price.

This is a great small-sized fishing rod, ideal for children. Quality is very good and it handles nicely. It is small enough to fit into a suitcase and is an ideal rod if you want something to use on your holidays. It performed well during sea shore float fishing and the kids landed several good sized blennies, wrasse and unknown species using it.

This rod is only 5’4” and it’s perfect for stalking, getting through bushes and crap access places!It’s lightweight, very durable considering the flexibility of the rod! I couldn’t believe the control I have when bringing a fish in!You’ll have no trouble pulling in 10lb Pike in on this rod all day! Great buy!

9ft version for spinning from rocks. Very good little rod. Used on and off for a week. Bought with small cheap reel and dexter 28g spinners. Able to cast c60-70 yds comfortably - fine for most rock fishing. Caught bass (returned) and mackeral from Cornish rocks - wished i'd bought a smoker as well!
