I changed the Shimano chain which came with my bike yesterday (after 1600 miles) and put this chain on. Seemed OK on the bike stand. When I went out for a cycle, there was an awful grinding noise when I put pressure on the pedals which stopped as soon as I took pressure off (but still turned the pedals). I stopped a few times to try and work out what was wrong, but couldn't see anything obvious. It sounded so bad, I turned around and went home after a mile. Couldn't find an obvious problem when I got home but seemed to be the chain. I put a new 11 speed Shimano chain on to check and went out for a ride. Problem solved - silent. It's the Connex chain. Checked the connex chain and it doesn't seem damaged,
