I have used Wipperman 8, 9 and 10 speed chains on 4 different bikes, and have never had a problem with any of them in over 8 - 10 years - no chain breakages etc. I change the chains after maybe 12 months use and before they stretch beyond the chain wear tool limit, and the cassettes and chainwheels are not getting worn even after several chain changes. The chains look good, with the nickel plating. The Connex link is the only one I have found that is easy to open and that can really be re-used. Shimano and SRAM chains are much more fiddly to install, and I find the SRAM links really hard to unfasten when you are by the side of the road.

I like these chains. They are very reliable and I have never had one break. The Connex link can be split by hand without needing any tools. The nickel plating does make the chain less likely to rust. Obviously you have to keep it clean and lubricated. The price is very good considering that it is made in Germany.

The chain is high quality, but the attached lock does not lock properly. It can be opened by relieving by hand without tools. I'm afraid that it could open during the drive and therefore will rivet the chain and renounce the lock. On another bike I use a SRAM chain with chain lock. There, the lock snaps clean.

this is my second wipperman connex 808. I bought it to replace my last one, which was still functioning great but needed replacing when I replaced my entire drive train. Shiny, smooth and easy to clean, you really can't go wrong here.

Can't go wrong with Wipperman chains, I always use these in preference to other brands. Particularly good on my mountain bike, even when it gets very muddy, it doesn't skip over the gears anywhere near as badly as other makes.

The chain has been on the bike for 3 weeks now and has about 600 miles on it, gear chains are still silky smooth and the chain is still looking immaculate.

Great chain easy to fit and unfit takes the hassle out of using a chain splitter also gears change much easier with this top quality product.
