Our daughter loves this. It has been a lot of fun for quite a few months. The Wheelybug Ladybird Ride-on is a stable and sturdy rideable that has been a source of entertainment over a couple of different growing phases. It is an attractive red colour and the manufacturing seems solid enough for a baby to use without too much worry. The steering (wheel direction) is a little wobbly at times when at high speed but it goes in the right direction and the wheels align well. The added prongs at the front haven't had too much playtime for us but this has been an excellent product. The first phase of use in our household was with daddy pushing baby around. It is a great experience for both.A bit of caution is needed when taking corners at high speed but it is a great way to explore together and to have a good time. Unfortunately our baby had such a good time that she was asking to be pushed around every day.The next phase was with the baby dragging the Wheelybug around while crawling. It is a bit awkward in that position but that didn't stop the baby wanting to drag Wheelybug around often. It became even more enjoyable when teddy bear passengers joined the journey. Teddy bear passengers and a baby are a good team when being pushed as well. The final phase of use has been the baby clambering aboard herself and then whizzing around. There is a slight risk of accident but hearing her giggle as she hares around a corner and sees someone is a real joy.The Wheelybug is one of several similar products in the Ride-on collection. It is hard to see what the difference between them really is but Wheelybug has been a great addition to our household and has seen regular use from about 9 months to 18 months so far.

I have just purchased the large Tiger Wheelybug. It is of sturdy contruction, with the seat being well padded and easily cleanable. It has a high quality wood base with castors attatched (instead of conventional wheels), which makes it highly manoeuvrable. This is an incredibly attractive ride-on, the soft upholtery and bright colours will not fail to draw the child's attention. The ease of movement whilst aboard the Wheelybug, can allow the child to develop both their confidence, and movement skills. The Wheelybug may be a little 'wayward' for some children, especially on wooden or smooth floor coverings, which allow it to gather up speed, which the child may not be ready to handle. However with appropriate adult supervision, the child will be able to 'negotiate' any obstacle at their own pace.I would dissuade other children from pushing the Wheelybug, while being ridden by another child. as it is designed to be driven by its rider; otherwise it is potentially uncontrollable. To conclude my review, I will say the following; good value, excellently made, visually attractive, encourages confidence and dexterity, good exercise and fun to ride. From a safety aspect,it is strong and robust and the points I raised may apply to any toy, if not used responsibly.Lastly, the handle height is very low (tiger's ears almost touch the top of the handle);this is not so in the illustration. As the Wheelybug comes assembled,it would not appear that the handle height can be adjusted, or if it can be, there were no intructions on how to do this. Have others buyers found this?

I bought this for my daughter's 1st birthday after reading some of the reviews that said the small size was very small. It was too large for a one year old (as indicated on age guidance) and yet despite the fact it is described as 'large' it is not a big product. I am inclined to agree with other posters about the size, as I think anything smaller than this wouldn't last that long and would be grown out of quite quickly. However, my daughter took to it immediately, and although she couldn't ride on it at first, she sat and moved it around and talked to it's little face. Then when she started walking, she pushed it around and now rides on it well at 19 months. My son who is nearly 5 also likes it,and if often caught having a sneaky ride on it despite the fact he deems it a 'baby toy'. Most children of about 5 and under take a shine to it when seeing it.It is by far the nicest, most well-made ride-on toy I've seen. It's robust and the casters make it really fast on laminated floors and fun for the children to ride in all directions. It's easy to keep clean, and has a padded back which makes the seat part seem quite comfy.I highly recommend this toy and I think it's great quality at a good price.Every house should have a wheelybug mouse!

I bought the small Wheelybug Tiger for my little one year old. Its a great design, with low wheels on a board and a soft spongy body. Good stability... wonderful idea as its low down and a nice first ride-on before moving up to a car style toddler vehicle. Wished I had something like this when my eldest was smaller... so delighted to find one for my baby... The 1 year old isn't able to ride on it yet, and probably won't be able to able to for a while, but he likes it and has fun pushing it round. My 3 year old scoots around on it (although its pretty small for him of course). My only quibble about it is that it is very very small and I regret not having read more reviews on this item previous to purchasing it as I would definitely have gone for the large size.I wonder why they even made one this small really. I bought it after reading their size & weight guidelines but still think its so small and wasn't worth making a small one at all.... (well, perhaps this would be ideal for people with very small children?) Shame as it won't have much usage life in it for us. Still, I am sure we will enjoy it very much during the time we can use it! I highly recommend this little ride on for all toddlers, its a great fun toy.

I bought two of the large wheelybugs for my children for Christmas when they were £40 each (they are back up in price again now but will no doubt come down again). They were the biggest hit by far and are already much loved. We have an open plan living space with laminate floors so they are perfect for that and the kids get some real speed. Good excercise in the winter months! And my 2 and 1/2 year old finds it much easier to ride than her elc trike as it's so easy to turn. They do not work on carpet at all and I'm pretty sure the caster wheels would get ruined outside pretty quickly. But if you have the space they are a great toy that look really good (we have the large mouse and tiger)and have provided great imaginative play (ours have garages made of boxes and pictures drawn of them!).Quite pricey but worth spending a bit more I think for good looks, quality build and ease of use. I like toys that aren't plastic and don't take batteries!!!

We bought this for our daughter's 1st birthday and it has been a huge hit!It is the perfect size for her and whilst we were initially tempted to buy the large one (for growth) I'm so pleased that we chose the small one as it has allowed her to enjoy it from day one. As yet she has not quite managed to make it go by sitting on it but she takes great delight in using it as a very high speed walker. Her four year old brother also manages to squeeze his bottom on and propel himself around (despite his long legs) so it is a popular toy in our house at the moment. It is a very high quality item with a solid base (that has unfortunately managed to make considerable dents in our television stand)but also small enough to be stored away in a tiny space. I also think that the fact that it has four castors and not fixed wheels makes it much more fun and far less frustrating for her.We love it!

At first i couldn't decide whether to purchase the large or small wheely bug for my daughter. She is a smaller than average 18 month old and i decided to opt for the bigger one after having a closer look at them in toys r us. The smaller one seemed way too small and i am glad i made the choice of getting the larger one. Its so cute and looks fab in my lounge!! I have a lot of comments from visitors and would definately reccommend it. It is made with care and is a quality childrens toy unlike a lot of the tat that is on the shelves at the moment. It is sturdy and hardy and will take a lot bumping and bashing from children. I love the wheely bug and intend now to buy one for my 4 year old son because he loves his sisters that much they fight over it,i think they would have hours of fun on them chasing each other around the house! So go for the big one peeps, you wont be dissapointed!!!

We ordered the smallest size (1-3) for our 1 year old for Christmas and it's absolutely gorgeous in design, beautifully made and put together. The only thing is, my daughter is very tall for her age and the mouse is actually a bit too small for her. Her bum barely fits on it it's that small. My daughter is bigger than most 1 year olds though, so if you have a small baby it should be fine. She's not interested in riding it just yet, she pushes it around like a toy car and lets her soft toys ride on it for now but it looks really lovely sat in our living room. We prefer wooden toys to the plastic type littering most living rooms so this little mouse fits in perfectly!! Would recommend, but if baby is on the big size, go one size up! Also, make sure little one has shoes or sturdy slippers on when riding - little toes could be easily run over! But the instructions tell you all that :)

I actually bought 2 of these as Christmas presents this year- a bee and a cow- and they were both a hit.I knew from a friend's wheelybug that the build quality on these is impressive and the new ones didn't disappoint. The materials look very durable and they can even take the weight of an adult (in the event of a seating shortage ;)).Most importantly, they can stand up to the rough and tumble a 3 year old boy can throw their way!The bugs roll pretty well on all the surfaces we've tried them on, which is good. One little boy insisted on riding his down the road and it dealt with pavement as well as carpet and wooden floors. Finally, don't ask me why,but both boys got as much entertainment from just twanging the antennae on the front of their wheelybugs as actually riding them!... Something to do when they're worn out from riding them around all day!

I bought this toy for our daughter's 1st birthday, I was in two minds whether to buy it but my husband urged me on.Well what I great buy it was!As with many toys I have bought my daughter, they have been played with, then cast aside after a few months, but with the Wheelie Bug she always goes back to it. She's now 2 1/2 and still loves it. When she first started walking she would hold onto the bar at the front and use it as a walker, then 6 months later she would push it along at great speeds, now at 2 1/2 she sits on it and whizzes around all over the kitchen/hall. friends who have older children (ages 4-8) come round and they love it too, so I can see her playing with it for a good 5 or so years. This was definately money well spent,it is extremely well made and one, if not the best toys I have bought her!

What a beautiful gift. We gave it to our little girl on her first birthday and she was so excited when we unwrapped it for her.She doesn't quite operate it yet in its intended way and rather pushes her in front of her like a walker but she loves it when we scoot her around on it.Unlike some of the other reviews who said the small version may be too small - it is just perfect for a one year old. Our little one is average in size for a girl that age and she can just about reach the floor with the tip of her feet. We also went to several stores and asked them about the sizing issue and the recommended to be the smaller version as well.So far I am quite glad I did what they said and even my husband who initially wanted to go for the bigger version, now agrees this was the right choice!

Brought the small mouse ride-on for a 1st birthday present and although much more expensive then the modern plastic ride-ons I think it has been a good investment. My other children whizz on the laminate flooring on it even though they are much to big really for it. It has the quality you would expect from a traditional wooden toy and is interesting to look at when not in use, has an old fashioned feel to it. The very quirky design make it a real winner when any other children come for a visit. The wheels go in any direction and the handle bar is perfect for little hands to grip. My daughter aged 1 was average height and her feet were able to touch the floor, but it was when she was approx 18 months old that she really got the hang of it. Works on carpet.

I bought this for my nephew for Christmas and seemingly it has been an immediate hit. My nephew is only 1 so co-ordination is still a bit of an issue for him. This is helped greatly by the castors and he is allegedly running round the house like a mad thing. I did buy him the larger size which is recommended for 18mnths plus but he is a tall child and the size is perfect for him and hopefully he will get a couple of years play from it.I am a great believer in strong wooden toys as opposed to plastic and this wheelybug certainly fell into my category of a toy which will be around for a while to come yet.All in all I think the product is excellent for the price and would have no problem buyingmore for any other little uns who may arrive in our family.

I was quite weary while placing this order as I was dreading a not-child-friendly ride-on would arrive. And although my toddler kept choosing BIG Bobby for the first few months, this tiger toy is quite popular (though Bobby is much more often used as it was there 2 years before this thing). My 11-months-old also likes Bobby (due to the sibling's preferences I assume and the fact it has a button and a steering wheel), but this tiger is constantly used to leanon to walk. And although our floors are partly quite slippery, the baby manages nicely and mastered a safe stroll. It's super manoeuvrable and its back is quite even for a child to sit on without a too-noticeable tilt. It's easy to clean and looks good after a year of light use.Highly recommended.

I bought this Wheelybug mouse for my goddaughter's first birthday! As noted by other reviewers, it is smaller than you think, but it was the perfect size for my goddaughter and I'm sure will last her for quite a while as her three year old sister was able to ride it too! It is made with good quality materials and seemed very sturdy and well put together. The top of the mouse where the child sits only has minimal padding, but this certainly didn't seem to bother her. As well as riding it, my goddaughter also used it to walk with, so, I'm sure it will be useful as a walking aid too! The only negative I would say is the price, but then it is a quality product, so I suppose you get what you pay for!Overall though, I am very pleased with it!
