Very pleased with this little item for the money. Uses easily obtainable batteries, though you may need to invest in a small head Phillips screwdriver for when the time comes for a battery change.However, this also makes the body shell strong and less likely to fall apart if you ever do drop it.The chrome metal body feels strong and the black but different textured rubber on/off button makes feeling where to press easy in the dark too, so though it seems a bit slippery at first, finding the rubber button is easier in this respect I feel.The two stage light output is useful as easily activated with a second click, a third turns it off.Seems to be about a 50% reduction in light output with the second stage two click of the button,

This is an excellent torch and fits well on a key ring. The light is really bright and easy to find the touch pad in the dark. I am not giving it a 5 star rating because when it stopped working this month I bought the required 2 new CR 2016 batteries for it. You have to unscrew 4 tiny cross-head screws to get into the battery compartment and it is quite fiddly to extract the two batteries. Having done all that and reassembled it, the torch still does not work. I realise that for £4.99 you get what you pay for but with my infrequent use I think it really should have lasted longer than it has.Needless to say I am buying another one, this will be its second chance but if this one fails the same way then I will move to another brand.UPDATE.

I think key chain lights are less of a faff to find and switch on quickly than my mobile phone torches. This Varta product is very similar in size and light output to the Energizer LED key chain Light I normally buy. However whereas the Energizer is designed as press on, release off, this stays on when pressed so can be hands free. Another press gives a less powerful beam, and a third press switches it off. Yet to see how frequently it gets turned on in error.I am not careful with my key chain. It gets dropped, squished, banged and shares pockets and bags with other hard objects. As a consequence I normally break the exposed LED before it runs out of juice.

Now that I don't have a car I needed a small, but solid key ring to hold my two house keys. This does the job perfectly. It's heavy enough to help me find the keys when in my pocket, but not so heavy as to have excessive weight dragging a pocket down. It has a pleasing shape and feel. It's shiny :) The light does the job well. It's not often you pay a few quid for something that exceeds your expectations, but this did it for me.

I bought two of these and they are really good even though one of them is not quite as bright as the other. In winter I go out in the dark and come home in the dark so these are brilliant for using to see to put the car key into the ignition and also for lighting up the dark passage way to my house. Goes on with one click and off with two. They look good too, very small and neat. Would definitely buy again.

Shipped in prompt time,well packaged. Bought this purposely for my keys so i can see clearly which im using expecially in the dark or areas. looks high quality durable unit,lightweight for comfortable handling,the actusal light is bright for such small item,fits in pocket and very useful to have.euipped body shell. Good fair price. liked it much may tempt me to buy another.

Bought this chain for my90 year old dad. During the early dark nights enabled my dad to lock and unlock the front door without fumbling for the lock. Great bright light made the action safer, easier, and put my fears to rest. I bought also a long key chai to which to sort key is attached. Also made the steps and path safe by using this great little light. Can't fault it. ?

This key chain light is well built, gives off a good light and is small enough to be comfortable to carry in my pocket as a key ring.Click the button once to switch the light on at "full beam", click it again for a lower light and click it a third time to turn it off again.I've found this light to be useful and it's a solid build, I'm pleased with this purchase.

I was happily surprised by the performance of this torch. Small enough to fit in your pocket on your key ring. Two levels of brightness at the press of the button. but the best feature is that should you leave in on in error it has a 5 minute auto switch which is very handy. Easy to change the battery straight forward & simple.

On my key ring, helps me to see properly getting in and out of my car & locate the front door lock. If I position my handbag correctly in my mobility walker it will give sufficient light to clearly see my way. I like the fact it has 2 light options of brightness & turns off if it has been still for a set amount of time.

We love in a small village and also have our horses on a local farm. It gets very dark around here and each of our family now has one of these. Essential for door keys, car keys and even padlocks. Really impressed. I got one for my hubby first, then my daughter and finally treated myself. Amazing value for money.

I liked the fact that it was made of metal ( thank goodness ) and it has a very nice tactile feel with round edges and a decent size on-off button with a high and low light intensity. It sits very nicely in my pocket and is quite reassuring knowing that it works each and every time. Not bad for a fiver!!

Have had 6 of these now. Great for the price and great for the keychain. I even use it on site in work sometimes if I have to read a label somewhere in a dark area - so it's handy to always have around. Does what it says on the tin, and the battery lasts for absolutely ages. Thoroughly recommended.

Product arrived within schedule was well packaged and undamaged. Product was as described well made from durable materials. LED is brilliantly bright and illuminated well for such a small unit that is no larger than a car key fob therfore easy to fit into the pocket. I definately recommend it.

Love the look of this keyring torch, it is such a robust solid torch, far superior to any other one I've boughht in this catagory. Super bright & excellent value. Bought it so I can see keyhole of my car in the dark, its perfect to light up dark pathways too. Very pleased with purchase.
