Why did Varta use a weak triple AAA battery when there is plenty of space for a stronger double AA battery is beyond me. The torch is also quite large (92mm long x 30mm wide), too big for my key-ring, anyway. But at least it's not heavy (about 30 grams with battery), so easy to keep in my pocket or bag. The housing has 3 elements, top and bottom are rubber and middle is aluminium, and it feels solid made. There is a sliding on/off switch on the middle bit, which makes switching an easy one-hand operation. The light is brighter and whiter than from my cheap 8 LED torch (which also has a blue tint). Comes with a 3-years warranty, and this is the reason why I kept it.I give 4 stars because it is too big as a key-ring light and it should use an AA battery,

There are plenty of good quality LED torches, trouble is they are often upwards of £10. This torch, like the more expensive ones, provides a high intensity wide beam. It's solid and robust, too. It also has a proper switch: an easy slide type. Great for campsites or long-term use. A bargain!

Lovely bright LED torch, very light to carry and a more than adequate replacement for my aging tungsten torch which inhabits my trust tool-box. The on-off switch is a trifle vulnerable but having said that it prevents the torch from rolling off sloping surfaces.

I film in theatres which are very dark, and one of these hanging from my neck is an invaluable tool! Unlike some I've tried in the past, it is very reliable and doesn't flicker!

Great little torch , good and cheap , dont expect a powerful beam of light haven't been outside with it yet but good for looking under the bed and in dark corners

This was bought a present and the youngster likes it a lot. came well packed and promptly. I would value more the super small led torches sold by Fred Olsen.
