My father-in-law took an old bike (that had been my wife's, when she was three), and lovingly restored it, giving it a coat of bright pink paint as a birthday present for my 3 year old girl. Although she had been quite confident on a balance bike, pedals flumoxed her somewhat and therefore needed stabilisers to help her get started.After much deliberation, as the bike was 30 years old (at least) with non-standard fittings and parts, I chose these 'Spokey Joe' stabilisers which were sold at a decent price.On receiving them I noted that they weren't branded as Spokey Joe and had generic packaging. That said, they were exactly as described and, with a little ingenuity, I managed to fit them on my little girl's bike.

Whilst these stabilisers are, PROBABLY, THE MOST ROBUST I HAVE SEEN, due to the length of the uprights, THEY ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR A 12 inch BICYCLE. Since most - if not all - 12 inch bicycles are fitted with a chain guard, it is also necessary to modify the chain guard to facilitate the fitting of the "Anti-rotation" arm and the lateral stay. In my opinion, the length of the upright and it's position on the smaller cycle PRESENTS A SIGNIFICANT POTENTIAL HAZARD TO A SMALL RIDER OR TO ANOTHER CHILD FALLING AGAINST IT - THESE UPRIGHTS ARE MADE OF SUBSTANTIAL STEEL! Having spoken with the Importer/Distributor of this product, I find that they have - and are happy to provide - a product specifically designed for 12 inch bicycles!

I bought these for my son's balance bike. He's got a type of balance bike onto which you can fit pedals. Unfortunately despite being super confident with the pedals off, he freaks out when they are attached.So I was looking for a cheap set of stabilisers, assuming that they'll be used for a couple of weeks then taken off when he gets his confidence.I bought these due to other similarly priced ones having problems with bending. These are certainly very well build and strong. The instructions aren't massively clear though, and it wasn't immediately obvious how they would attach to this particular bike, which doesn't look like the example in the instructions.I managed to get them on, though,

Bought for a bike where the stabilisers had been lost.Instructions are IKEA style (pictures, no words)Two alternate fitting systems in the box.Went together in 20 mins or so without any problems using pliers and ring spanner (not supplied)All parts except wheels and caps are metal and stoutly made.DownsidesThe metal fittings really ought to come with something to protect the frame (I used tape)The red caps on the end of the axles are just push fits and come off relatively easily.

Perfect for my child's 20'' BMX. It is perfect to support him to ride on his ''big bmx''. This bike is bigger for his age but with this stabiliser he manages to ride on it. it has muliple holes to fix the axiles so it can be used for various sizes including 22'' as well. build quality is great and comes with lot of attachments and you don't really need to use any of them. price is very reasonable for the quality and it is a very happy purchase.

These Spokey Joe Stabilisers are perfect for almost any bike, before i purchased these i went to a bike shop and bought stabilisers for my grandsons bike they were more expensive than the spokey joe stabilisers and did`nt fit,so i took them back and got a refund looked up amazon and purchased these spokey joe`s which were perfect on the bike and on the price,thank you.

I love this produc, it is robust, it could easily fit bigger bicycles as it has at least 5 other holes, if your bicycle has a chain guard, you will need to make a piramid type cut on it to fit these wheels as they have an extra bar taht secures it so it doesnt move. but it is easy to mount, you will love them

Bought these as a joke after a colleague fell off his bike a few times. It was funny, but to be honest it probably wasn't worth the money. Sorry I can't comment on the actual intended use of these, but they do work well as a joke gift if you know anyone who's fallen off their bike once or twice.

Came quickly. Simple instructions, easy to assemble. The bike I have has 14" wheels, fits perfectly, and for the price is well made. I had to find a long thin walled socket to tighten the wheel nut once the bracket was in place. Not too much hardship though.

Bought these as the bike I bought my daughter came without them.They did exactly what we needed them to do and were a great price!My friend fit them and didn't seem to have any trouble putting them on.Would recommend them - escpecially for the price!

I purchased these stabilisers for my Daughters Halfords Apollo 18" bike. She is only 4 but is very tall so needs a bigger bike which traditionally do not come with stabilisers.They fit great, they were easy to install and she's off...

Excellent product for the money, very easy to assemble and different options for fitting. This product fitted a 20" bike which was exactly what i needed, large wheels give the stability. Excellent delivery thank you.

very good quality for low price support the bike perfectly with no trouble they were easy to assemble and they look ok on the bike too as we were worried they may look big and bulky but they didn't.many thanks

Although the item is very sturdy and easy to fit, they are difficult to adjust to the correct height for our son's bike due to the position of the slots (It was either too high or too low!

not bad at all bit of a nightmare at first to fit as you have to different ways you can chose to fit them but once had that sorted no problems what so ever, done what they are meant to do
