When I bought my S8, my first thought was the Speck grip. I have used the S6 version for over a year now and it has saved my S6 from SEVERAL bad drops on hard surfaces. One drop was bad enough to finally crack the case (the phone had a slight scratch) and I immediately bought another one to replace it. And I put my phone through HEAVY use, through countless hours of playing geolocation games like Ingress and Pokemon, in all terrains and weather conditions. No other case has offered me the combination of grip and thinness - I hate the bulkiness of the Otter Box type cases.I did browse the competition but none of the other cases could offer the grip AND confidence in their design.

When I first purchased this case I was happy with the drop protection it offers. Many other cases sit lower around the edges than this one does. The combination of rubber and plastic provide excellent protection. But it has a major problem, the plastic very slippery. It's not smooth like glass, it has a slight texture that offers no grip. I did have the clear Speck Presidio case and that one feels very sticky to my hands, so when I purchased this case I expected it to have that same smooth-like-glass feel. I dropped it a few times before I decided to do some research on how to make this case better.I ended up finding a sheet of adhesive grip called Talon Grips. It is the stuff that people use on guns.

I had this same Case for my Galaxy S6 Best Case I've ever bought and I looked long and hard also went over all the reviews on other Cell Cases But they couldn't compare to the Speck's rubber grips on the sides most important are the grips on the back of the Case I lay my phone on my thigh when I drive or sit anyplace from past other products the phone slides off my thigh slides off the cars dashboard...It's price was and is still high but you want quality your gonna pay for it don't buy a cheap case expecting it to protect your phone and be upset your screen cracks at the first drop these phones are not cheap at $800 so invest in protecting it I'm just saying...Now the only beef I have with

Finding the right case for your phone is always a difficult task. I prefer a case that totally covers all edges so they don't get dinged and there are a lot of snap-on thin plastic cases that leave the top and bottom of the phone completely exposed. My job requires a lot of time out of the office and on the road; my phone is an essential part of my business so I want a case that offers good protection. That's can be a difficult thing to find without adding a significant amount of bulk but this case is the one!Pros1. Nice snug fit with good rounded edges everywhere2. Ample protection3. Minimal added bulk4. Precise cut-outs for charging port, headphone jack, camera, microphone, speakers, etc.5.

I really like this case, I think older models had peeling grips, and to be honest mine have a very little in places, but because I'm spraying the phone and case with alcohol daily and using alcohol wipes. Given that daily onslaught and the fact it's now 3 years old that's pretty good going. It doesn't really affect the look, for me, that much. Plus the grips stop fumbling and the phone being slippy. The case definitely protects the phone that's for sure and that's the most important thing for me, followed by not being bulky. It has a slight raised lip around the edge that stops the screen hitting anything when dropped, more so at the top and bottom of the case.

This thing is as grippy as glue but when I got it, it was as rough as sand paper to the touch: around the rubber grooves and at corners it was sharp.It was very uncomfortable to hold. On the other hand, I was able to go for runs with the phone going up and down with my really sweaty palms and at no point did I feel it was going to fly out. I can stand the phone its side if I find something to rest it on and unlock with other cases it doesn't slide. It was love hate but eventually I noticed that thanks to the thinning of my palm skin, case was smoothing. It took a couple of weeks but now it's comfortable and the skin on my hand returned eventually.Other perks,

I love this case. Speck has been my go to case company since the iPhone 3G. I have since switched to Android phones and they are still as amazing as when I first got their cases. Speck is top of the line and you can't go wrong with getting a case from them. It fits well in the hand and so far has yet to show any wear. Looks just like when I first got it. The only thing I could go without is how hard it is to get on and off the phone. It's a very tight fit and honestly the first time I felt like I was going to break the phone but it went on fine with some pressure. After putting my SIM card and Micro SD card in I have no reason to take it off so now it's not a problem.

Loving this case. It’s a good amount slim and offers a good amount of protection. The side raises up pass the edge screen to offer some protection on the edge as well (not over or covering the edge screen) but if you’re worried it will affect the edge feature, it won’t. The side grips also help holding the phone and feels good in the hands. The phone fits nice and snug in the case without movement. Buttons are very responsive using the normal force you’d use on your phone without a case. My only personal dislike is the branding on the back. I’m not a big fan of branding on cases but that’s just me. This case just feels so good though and not to mention, it helps maintain a sleek look!

Awesome grip not like a hot potato in your hand!As soon as I unboxed my speck case for my Samsung S8 Plus,I was immediately impressed. It's super lightweight yet very strong, and fits like a glove without compromising the functions from the phone. Power button ,Bixby button and volume buttons not compromised. The best part is you can lay your phone flat on the screen and it won't get damaged. I've decided not to put a screen protector on my phone because it's made out of Gorilla 5 glass and I could better enjoy the beauty even more,without thick plastic on the screen. As long as you have this case and are very careful and mindful it's totally peace of mind. You get what you pay for,

For my s9 this case has the best grip I have had after trying many others. It will not slip from your hand. I have dropped mine but never due to it slipping from my hand. I am a construction worker and as those of you like me know our phones get roughed up a bit. The only issue I have is the soft rubber ripples which is what gives it such a good grip, wears down and off over time. Mine only lasts a year before its all worn off and looses its grip factor. I have not tried to see if the lifetime warranty covers this. Warranty says not covering normal wear and tear. I kinda feel its normal wear and tear because I'm sure it wears out for everyone. I wish that Speck would chime in and be more clear on this.

Speck, one of only 2 cases that come up 'above' the curved screen phones along the sides.. protecting the glass edges. The other is a well known massive bulky case, but these are much much easier in the pocket. Very grippy.. won't, won't accidentally slide out of hands. Nothing fancy, just reeeeally good protection. Oh.. i have 2 different companies cases, these, and a slim profile metal backed well known case. The other case, slim profile, slips out of hands very easily. The other brand also peels off the screen protectors which is a common complaint with these new curved screens. This case has NOT peeled off a screen yet.. because it sits ABOVE the screen, not below it. Very happy with this case!

when i first got my phone, i got the pink glitter version of this case. i have used it since constantly and i do like the way it feels in my hand and the protection factor.i wanted something more minimal so i got this clear version. got here fast and i do like it, feels a bit more slim than my old glitter one, but that's fine. i do like how it looks on my phone, i just wish it was completely clear instead of a slightly foggy color. i think the more modern iphone cases are clear and i will test that out when i get an iphone. i do like this case and i do recommend it for someone who wants a good protection on their phone but doesn't want a bulky design or "ugly" case.so, i love this brand,

My all time top favorite phone case. This is my second one. I got a light grey colored one at first, which I adore, but dirt really showed up on it and people told me they thought it looked filthy. I got the dark blue one to hide this.You can use the flap to prop up your phone like an easel and watch Netflix or YouTube. You can store what seems like up to 4 cards in the card slot (drivers license, credit cards, health insurance card etc) so it's all efficient and not need for a purse. You can't store dollar bills in this, though, unless it was maybe a single bill folded up.Never had a problem with it falling off or breaking.

Good looking case. The laterals are quite tick and seem to add a good layer of protection. I haven't dropped it (yet), but it seems bulky enough to protect the device.The top and bottom lips are raised, so the screen won't touch the surface of a table if the phone is face down. The most interesting aspect here is that the lips are also raised on the screen edges, adding protection while still allowing me to use the edge features. The case still allows me to use the cardiac rate sensor and fingerprint sensor perfectly.It works perfectly with my case-friendly OTAO glass protector. The only downside is that the buttons are a bit hard to press.

Perfect! Been using the otterbox hard cases for years but decided to take a chance on this case specifically based on the reviews and independent articles about the best, most drop protecting phone cases. It's perfect and absolutely no concerns to- date. I've accidentally dropped my phone several times since purchase and it's done an excellent job of protecting my phone. It's also less bulky than the otterbox so that's a huge plus for me.I also use the pop socket phone wallet (attached to the back of the phone case) and a pop socket attached to the wallet. It's absolutely perfect. No issues with adhesion/grip/sizing at all. Love this case!
