I was anticipating the release of this case and have been pleasantly surprised.The case gives the phone an extremely snug fit and gives you the confidence that the phone is indeed protected. The back of the phone is fastened onto the case by a sticky plastic surface on the interior, initially with a cover that you peel off.Bare in mind the picture that amazon are currently using is the WRONG case model. The one they are currently using is for the Z3, not the Z3 compact. The Z3 compact case has a flap to fasten it onto the rear side. I have attached a photo of the true design of this case- I had notified amazon about this error a month before release,

I was unsure about purchasing this case after reading some of the review of it. Many people said that their one did not work, that it felt of poor construction or that the connector either did not work or was hideous to operate. I am pleased to say I have had no such issues so far.I have what sounds like an updated case with a popper clasp on the back rather than a non-sticky sticky pad. This is a bit clunky but it does give me confidence that it is going to stay shut. The material the case is made from is plastic but does not feel cheap to me. The sides of the phone are exposed but the case does have some overlap and if anything were to contact the edge of the phone it does have a plastic bumper there.Once I got it set up it has worked well for the last few days.

Had this case for 8 months now, and it still feels like new. It is very smart and I really like it.There's something about an officially branded Sony product applied to a Sony phone that appeals to me.Materials are high quality and the inside felt seems to keep clean really well. Sticky back still holds even after a few reapplications and gives a nice 'magical' effect of how the case is staying on when other people use my phone.The software works as it should, and gives access to lockscreen widgets of which you won't even be able to get without using the case (or rooting) due to Sony not enabling them.For me, protection is very good because i believe the front screen will never get smashed when this case is applied.

Very highly recommendedI cannot understand the agenda of some of the negative reviews of this prodctYes it was priced a little high originally but at less than £10 it now costs its a bargain. The case fits securely I ve had it several months and it remains solidly attached. it does provide decent protection, I ve dropped mine on to hard concrete a couple of times resulting in xero damage. the 'inelegant press stud keeps the cover securely fastened. Stylish and modern, no 'faux' leather or fake carbon fibre, asdds little buljk and is a perfect aesthetic match for the phoneThe smart window works great. particularly good if you use your Z3C a lot as a music player. regardless of the app you are using,

This is certainly a 'Sony' case. In terms of aesthetics, it really is nice! It complements the phone well if you get it in the right colour and does protect the back and front of the phone. The smart window works as it should, but isn't really very functional, you'll still have to open the case to read texts etc.There isn't any magnet to keep it closed, which is silly, but doesn't detract from it at all! I've read here that people thnk the sticky pad won't last very long? I've had mine for a few weeks and it remains very sticky, as it's almost like a film, not an actual sticker. As somebody who doesn't like cases, I only use this around the house when I don't want the glass to slide everywhere ;)Realistically,

Please don't listen to other reviews, I nearly did and desperately tried to cancel my order after reading them, however the item was already dispatched.However my amazement when I opened the package and saw a very attractive little case.It's a great design to actually stick to the back of the phone, not to clip on via a sheet of plastic that other cases tend to do.This means its extremely slim, keeping phone to it's original size, not adding bulk and taking away the attractiveness of handset.now, before you stick to the back connect case to your phone via NFC and it automatically loads the app you need to get the phone to recognise the case and get the lock screen to change to fit in the case window.It's great,

I have replaced my previous bulky Z3 case with this slim-lined NFC case.I am fully happy with this case, and the preview window is very useful, but also protective whilst still allowing touch to work, so even better than I was expecting. Even just the effect on my pocket is remarkable. So slim so I don't feel the bulk in my pocket that I did with my old case.I nearly didn't buy because of some bad reviews, but if you follow the instructions, it works straight away.It even came with the charge block holder which means I can easily charge it on the dock and still be able to see the screen.Fully recommended to anyone with a Z3 and who needs to see the screen regularly, but want a protective,

This case fits perfectly. The material has a nice smooth feel. The color is an amazing metallic copper. Looks like leather on the inside (I think it is).The reason I gave it a 4 is because I don't like the screen (square window), the hole case looks luxurious and shinny but in reality that screen is out of concept, it is just a plastic square that, for me at least, is not even useful. I would prefer it without the window, but well this is how this product is.Note that this case is mostly protecting your phone from scratches on the screen or at the back. It doesn't come with plastic to protect the sides but this is the reason it looks better than other wallet style cases.

It is not a protective case, it doesn't cover the corners of the phone at all, so if you drop it, the cover is useless, but it is not bulky like other cases in the market, it is quite slim, probably the slimmest, and being able to use the phone with additional widgets that you can access from its window changes the whole experience with the phone. I almost feel like I bought a new phone after having this case.I have added calendar, whatsapp, gmail, and google now widgets, other than the default sony style widget, but there are other widgets available.

Bought this years after it's manufactured, as a used item. With that in mind, the condition was like new and the adhesive pad seems to hold the phone in place. It's early to say how long it's going to hold, though. Design wise, I would prefer a slimmer magnetic clip vs. this bulkier metal clip on the back of the cover flap. This phone has slippy glassy surfaces on front and back, this covers them without making the size dramatically bigger, or hiding the nice looking edges of the phone nor limiting the usability of any of the slots or ports.

Firstly, be aware your phone sticks onto the case, so if you're looking to remove the case don't get this - you put it on and leave it alone. It protects my screen and back, and looks good. The sides are exposed so no additional protection for the edges, hence four stars. I cannot comment on what happens when your phone drops or using a docking station as I have not experienced these. I can only tell you it sticks solid, and covers screen and back well including camera, and the screen works with the case closed (need gloves mode). I like it

I received my Sony Xperia z3 compact style case today and I am very impressed with the way in which the NFC touch technology sets up the app for you. It has cut outs for the charging socket, camera and speakers so you can answer calls, read txts and take photos all without opening the cover. It doesn't clip in but is held in place with a sticky pad on the back, but it fastens with a press stud. With all of these features that works great cus you only need to open the case for Internet browsing and games.

Connects and provides the link to required software update in seconds. Screen swipes work through the window but you are a bit restricted to what you can access without opening the cover. Old fashioned popper fastening works great and just the right amount of protection for my requirements. Didn't think it would ever stay on as it is only am adhesive patch on the back bit after a few days it is now b quite secure

Much better than some reviews would suggest - I guess it comes down to what you need.The app installs easily and the functionality is very good. Obviously this won't protect against drops, but will stop scratches.Negatives - The press stud is a glaring mistake - should have been magnetic. Also, haven't found a way to use as a bedside clock yet, as daydream doesn't keep the display just in the panel.

I love this case! The smart window function makes it easier to get to some of my favorite apps. It really isn't that big of a deal that this doesnt sit flat on a table. Come on guys. Two odd things about it though. One, the back of phone has to stick to the inside of the case to keep it together. Two, the Walkman app in the Smart window disconnects and must be reopened againin order to play the app.
