Took the tent out for a" trial run" 3 week-ends ago. We were a little apprehensive at first due mainly to the size of itfor although we used to go camping very often we stopped about 3 years ago due to our ages--i am 66 and my hubby is 67--but we got the idea to try it again after visiting a local camp-site, so we took the plunge and bought all new equipment ( fromAmazon ) and off we went. Our earlier fears were completely unfounded, O.K it took just over 1 hour from arriving on site to havinga cup of tea but this included unpacking from new and attaching all the guy ropes and setting everything up inside the tent, bedroom, inflatable bed, cooker and all furniture i reckon i could half that time on our next trip.the tent was very spacious andmanufactured to a very high standard and although lightweight compared to our last one it was really strong and we both feltmore than at ease sleeping in it,although it was cold and damp outside we were comfortable inside,---WELL DONE SKANDIKAFOR A GREAT PRODUCT AT A VERY GOOD PRICE.I would also like to thank you AMAZON for providing us with all ourrequirements we have no complaints about anything. A GREAT COMPANY, PROVIDING A GREAT SERVICE. THANK YOUfrom Mrs.J.Wetton & Mr.K.WettonCHESHIRE.

After 2 summers of a halford 4 man tent, it was time to upgrade. I did a lot of chatting on campsites to other campers about their bigger tents and pros/cons, etc. Then I did lots of research and decided on skandika milano 10 man tent.Just back from 8 nights in 2 different sites in Ireland and I fell more and more in love wi it each day. We'd really torrential rain one night- not a bother. Anotber evening it was v windy, again a walk in the park. This tent was easier and quicker to put up and take down than its much smaller predecessor.The.extra storage pockets hanging on the outside of the 4 bedrooms csme in v handy, and we'd learned the bard way that a built in groundsheet was a deal breaker- and was I glad of that aft the heavy rain. The only downside im seeing is I cant seem to find an awning or canopy to attach to it, thus preventing the need for a gazebo-no matter how fancy or basic u tent is, it still gets v hot inside when the suns out!All I need now is an inflatable mattress that won't deflate after my 5 yr old has ignored me and as soon as im distracted, treated it as his own personal trampoline! All in all, id highly recommend this tent.

I have had this tent for three seasons now, and been camping in all weathers with it.The first time out with it, we were camped on the shores of Loch Striven on the west coast Scotland. The weather was really wild!!!A fully grown tree was ripped right out of the ground about 350 yards from where we were camped but the tent was A OK.As soon as we got the tent, we swapped the pegs that come with it, for our 14" rocksplitters. If this tent is fully guyed down and pegged out it will stand up to anything.Very easy to put up.Always bone dry in the heaviest of rain storms. The sown in ground sheet is a must, for both keeping the beasties out and stopping those annoying draughts when the weather is not so good and you are stuck indoors. In another review I saw someone had trouble with the steel poles, If the sleeves are full entered and the guy lines tensioned correctly there should not be a problem. If you would like to view some photo's of our tent and camping set up, Email me [email protected] and I will forward them to you

Having had terrible quality issues with our last tent we spent a long time researching tents to make sure that we got one that was robust, a decent size and suited our needs. We read the reviews on this tent and decided to take the plunge. I am so pleased we did. The tent is brilliant. It is by far the easiest tent to erect and only took 25 minutes from start to finish. The colour of it makes for a bright and airy feel. Once inside we were all taken aback with the size. We struggled to fit everything into our old tent but this one is so spacious and the height is great, we all struggled to clip the lantern onto the clip. The side porch is the perfect size to fit the portable toilet (for middle of the night toilet visits). All in all we are very happy and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a 5-6 man tent. We are a party of three (2 adults and teeenager) so had lots of space in the bedroom. The photo's make the tent look huge but actually ... it reallly is a big tent.

Bought this tent recently and have used it once so far-- three nights in Scotland in reasonably fair weather. So far, I am very pleased. We were perfectly dry during our rainy night. It is positively enormous, with more than enough sleeping space for a family of four. Six adults might be cozy in the bedroom. The living room area is huge, with a really handy set of hanging pockets to keep things in. I love the clear plastic windows that let sunlight in-- the tent heats up amazingly well on a cold, bright morning. A couple of picky points: it is so tall that a shortish person like myself could not put it up without help or a box to stand on. The instructions, translated from German, were pretty useless. However, the tent is relatively straightforward to put up and common sense will serve you better. We have yet to test it in properly Scottish blowy conditions, but the metal poles seem quite robust. The tent folds away easily and fits back into the bag without too much of a fight.

We have recently started to go camping with our three children, initially we used 2 smaller tents and I quickly realized that we needed a bigger tent to allow for indoor space other than for sleeping. This tent comes in suitable bags, the poles seem very sturdy and the putting up was straight forward and easily managable for myself and my 9 year old son, the hooks, ropes etc are of good quality. We only had a little rain, but some wind and all was holding up very well. We loved the pouches in the centre separation! I gave 4 star instead of 5 because I wish the separation between the 2 sleep compartments was a little more substantial ( the bottom end cannot be fixed very much) and it would be perfect, had the frontopening been a little larger, with a larger covered porcharea (maybe even with side sheets...) All in all the tent is extremely good quality and we are looking forward to many more camping experiences with it!

We are family of 4 , but since we were going camping with 2 other family( my cousins) in cold weather I needed this just in case we spend time inside the tent, perfect choice, the difference of this tent from others is that has same head height , so even if you are small family by not using one 5 person bed room you will be left with a big living area, quality wise top of the range( I only used for 4 days) easy to pitch considering the size, bit too heavy and balky when packed but that is what you expect if you buy 10 man solid quality tent, 2 of my cousins couldnt fit the whole parts in the bag again due to small bags coame with their tent ,but I managed to put every thing back to its original "bulky" bag as they designed the bag to serve the purpose not misleading the customers by creating unrealistically small packed tent

We were so happy to get our new tent, especially as our family had grown ??The tent was simple enough to erect however during the process, one of the poles bent as if made of rubber ? friends helped to secure the now damaged pole in place so the tent stayed up but during the few days of gale force winds, the damaged pole buckled, taking the back end inwards on our son's bedroom chamber ?We will now have to spend more money on replacement poles ahead of our next family camping trip.Apart from all this, the tent is extremely roomy and very cosy. One bedroom chamber housed a double airbed and our baby's travel cot comfortably. During the harsh winds, the rest of the tent held up strongly. The photos show two images of the damaged pole and buckled bedroom chamber during the windy weather.Read full review...

Just come back from a camping trip where we Had some pretty torrential rain. The tent didn't let a drop in, however it is not the best when it comes to tackling winds. The two end parts of the tent (especially where the sun canopy is situated) does not have enough guy ropes or poles to support it and as a.result they flap around quite a lot which made for a few stressful nights when the wind picked up a bit. The tent was swaying alot and the sleeping pod was also being shaken around as a result. The sun canopy does not have a zip that goes all the way round but rather has two zips, one on each side and some Velcro along the bottom. This means that you are left with a few gapping holes where the wind can blow straight into the tent

Brilliant tent, had 3 trips away so far, first trip we had gale force winds, we had to get up in the middle of the night to tie the tent to anything we could find that did not move, we had 6 people in the tent that night as others that were with us lost their tents.the tent did not blow over. Second trip we had torrential rain for three days and not one spot of water came in nor did it float away, we had 12 people in our tent as the other couples that were with us were flooded out in their tents. Third trip there was no wind nor rain so we enjoyed the tent and had plenty of cider and wine. I look forward to next years expeditions. Good product, good price, very roomy

Got this tent 4 years ago, have been on lots of camping trips in this time, its great. Only 2 of us and the dogs, its spacious plenty of room to be really comfortable. It leaked slightly in a few spots when the rain was torrential for hours, (seam) but a spray of waterproofer has sorted that out. It survived a scary night 50 mile an hour winds in Wales. If you want a summer holiday tent this is a good buy. No stooping inside nice and high, and once we had put it up and folded it away a handful of times its got a-lot quicker. I use it 3 times a year, and have seen other tents that I like, but can’t fault this one enough to change it.

great family tent. We used it as a three bedroom tent to sleep 4 (can easily accommodate 6 to 8 persons, not so sure about 10) living accommodation within the tent is quite large, we had a table and 4 chairs (combi unit) and 4 foldable chairs and a fridge with still room to walk round without standing on the dogs. although the tent does not come with very good instructions, it is fairly easy to erect. our first attempt took 45 mins and that was in the rain. We experienced a lot of rain on our first trip and the tent showed no sign of water ingress anywhere. The sewn in groundsheet is a great addition keeping out all the bugs.

Very pleased with this tent! I read all the good reviews on here before and then I thought this could be a good upgrade from the Halfords 4 man tent and that's when I settled for this tent. Couldn't be more pleased! Set the tent up in the garden this afternoon to see what it's like and it took myself and my father-in-law less than 10 min to set up. I'm well impressed! Very spacious and enough room for my wife and I and our two children to have a comfortable camping trip with lots of room to move and sit inside on those cold, rainy and windy days. Looking forward to our next camping trip.

Purchased this tent as the design was near identical to one which I previous had. Tried the Milano out for the first time last weekend and apart from having to attach the ropes (which added a bit more time), the tent went up like a dream.A really spacious tent with nice little features and the mosquito nets on the main doors was a joy as there were a few about.Only had a little rain for about half an hour so it hasn't really been tested for weatherproofing, so can't report on that - yet. Overall though: Space is good, height and width ample, and erecting it was a doddle.

Aboslutely love this tent. The room in it is fantastic, unfortunatley we only got to use it once this year as the first weekend we went with it i tripped on the flap at the bottom of the door entrance on the side and ended up fracturing my shoulder. Not a fault with the tent, just me being clumsy :-)So based on the once we have used it,my husband put it up all on his own, easily he says and got it all down on his own okay.We had no obvious problems and overall really pleased, wish we could have used it more, looking forward to next summer
