First time I have installed a cassette myself.I purchased this to use on a solid disc wheel, usually I let the local bike store mess with this stuff - but in this case thought I'd give it a whirl. The cassette comes on a plastic holder in the correct cog - spacer configuration, I did not see any actual instructions and if I had been methodical I'm sure it would have been fine. As it happened I misplaced the last spacer and then tightened it up with the appropriate tool.It was not snug so obviously, I knew I had it wrong - online they have lots of instructions to get this assembly correct - but you did need a 'chain whip' to remove the assembly - fortunately I purchased one, knowing that I am not that methodical.Bottom line, got the thing installed - runs fine, very happy. Obviously, purchase the appropriate tools to tighten and loosen it - it is not rocket science, but if you are not that mechanical, you can set it up incorrectly. Obviously, there is always your local bike store...I purchased the 11/28 operating with a 53/39 chain ring set up - works fine for me.

I built up an old frame with Dura Ace 9000/9001 components. On-line research warned against the CS-9000 cassette: terrible durability issues with the carbon fiber spider. The SRAM XG-1199 is super-light at 180g, but the maintenance required by the elastomer noise dampeners turned me off. This Ultegra cassette weighs 252g - roughly 60g heavier than the Dura Ace or SRAM - not enough to be concerned about. Flawless shifting right out of the box with the CN-9000 chain. Not enough miles to judge durability, but several Pro teams have switched from the CS-9000 to the CS-6800.

I'm going to race the IM Nice in June and I was looking for a cassette to help me in the steep hills. I rode on a 11-25 Shimano Ultegra and a Semi-compact crankset and I felt good, but I want to be extra safe that I can climb the 20% hills and the ports to the L'Ecre. I saw the cassette configuration and it has the gears to go on flats and downhill, while including the easy gears for the climbs. Tomorrow I will use the cassette in a 6 hour ride and I will post my comments.

Comes on a plastic guide that snaps right into your wheel's hub, so that you can slide all sprockets over with ease which makes alignment for installation a snap. I recommend keeping this little gadget for when you take off the cassette to clean the sprockets individually.Smooth shifting and works great.

Perfect cassette for racing bike or training bike when you have hills -- uphill and downhill. 11 teeth on the tough gear (gives you plenty of power for downhill speed) and 28 on the easy gear (if you are riding with a lot of hills, this makes riding up steep hills much, much easier.

I bought an ultra light full 853 steel frame bike recently and it came with a compact crank, 50-34 and a Shimano 11 speed Ultegra 8000 rear cassette 11-34. But i also wanted a similar quality cassette with a slight narrower gear range. This one just fit the bill.

The processing and quality of the cassette are top, but the gradations on some cassettes are not optimal. Why there is a 12 - 28 cassette only for the Dura Ace and not for the Ultegra, which applies to the 11 - 32 there is a 12 - 32.

Bought this for the 28T gear as I had this set-up on my former 10 speed bike and love that gear when climbing some of the many beautiful mountains that Chattanooga has to offer (Raccoon, Lookout, Signal, and Suck Creek)!

Installed on a 2011 Kestrel Road bike that came with Ultegra 10 speed shifters and a12-23T cassette.Needed the 32T to do the long climbs of Savageman Tri in Maryland. Worked very well, quiet and smooth. It's a keeper.

Changed from 11-28 to 11-32 when changing the chain, in order to ride the optimum cadence even at more than 8% incline. Make me feel less cramps with long granfondos. Material is top and runs very quiet with new chain.

This makes getting up those 10%+ climbs do-able for me. I had a 11-28 and I could do the same climbs but the 11-32 gives me that extra gear I need to make the climbs without going into the red all the way up.

I had to adjust the length of the chain, but I knew that going in, but that was the only modification I had to make. The 32t gear really helps on the steep climbs here in North San Diego County.

works very well - stronger than Dure Ace it is replacing. Slightly heavier, but I personally do not mind giving it is stronger - i bend the DuraAce a little causing uneven chain ride

Works with the Standard and Compact chain rings on an medium rear cage derailleur SCS chainstay on a 2016 Specialized Roubaix Expert Disc UDi2. You get more gears for climbing.

Replace the stock 11-28T cassette on my Specialized Roubaix and it made a ton of difference. Easy to replace but mind the cage length on the rear derailleur.
