Parts start to wear out over time. It's a slow process, so you don't realize at the time when your shifting starts to get worse. I swapped out a chain and was still getting some chain skip on the cassette and shifts were sometimes slow to respond. I looked up my mileage and had around 8k, so I was overdue. I picked up the 11-28 r8000 to go with my Dura 9000 parts. It was like getting a new bike again! So smooth. It works perfect with the older Dura Ace line.

I have multiple Shimano cassettes for my gravel bike, depending on the terrain. This 11-28 I use for relatively flat Georgia gravel. It is of typical Shimano quality, in that you can expect it to last thousands of miles. I currently have an 11-32 on my road bike that is approaching 9k miles, with very little signs of wear.

get the original. this was original. dont wait long to change your chain and cassette. I waited long and had to change not just casset but crank as well. if you have waited too long better to just keep using it. my bike didnt have issues but as soon as I changed everything had to be changed.

Bought this cassette to attach to my new Tacx trainer. It's Shimano, no need to say anything else. Does what it's supposed to do. Haven't had any issues with quality. Matched up perfect to my 11 speed set up on my Cervelo R3.

My bike came with DuraAce but I've replaced the cassette with Ultegra (twice now) because I find the Ultegra stuff lasts a little bit longer with absolutely no difference in quality. Just shop around for the best price.

Very good replacement for Ultegra CS 6700 (probably the same cassette only with a new number) I didn't notice any difference. Not when switching. Can be switched easily and fluidly.

I got this cassette as an extra/ changeover cassette for my Ultegra equipped bike versus the 11-34 11 speed cassette that came on it. Very light and superb quality.

These are a little heavier than the Dura-ace cassettes, but they are actually more durable and they shift just as well.Not to mention then are half the price.

a very versatile cassette that provides additional multiplication in climbs without undermining the performance of medium / small sprockets

Strong, quiet and smooth. Switched from 11-28 to 11-30 which I will now experience, but flow nicely after the first round.

Perfect bearing for adventure rides with big hills! Great shifting, especially with Ultegra derailleur on my bike!

What can you say.....it’s Shimano. Never let me down. Shifting is crisp and precise and pretty lightweight also.

broke the carbon fiber spider on my Dura Ace cassette. Replaced it with the Ultegra, which has an alloy spider.

The only thing better would be Dura Ace but for a few ounces i’ll Take this and save my money!
