Pretty much a novice when it comes to servicing/repairing my own bike so wasnt sure what to expect from this cable and the low price. Very pleased with the end product. Very good quality , strong cable and thick housing. Very easy to install and cut down. Could instantly feel the difference in braking performance and power. Very smooth cable action and just an all round sound product. Only downside is they dont give you enough cable end caps and the housing cover caps. I messed up one of the cable end caps so now i dont have spares for when i have to change out the rear cable.

Shimano, and feels like it.As a kit it has enough to do one rear brake (if the brake has a separate 'exposed' section along the frame) or rear and front if both are enclosed all the way. The addition of 2 extra end caps would have made all the difference.Still, very easy to fit and seems to work well.

Neatly packaged - One front brake cable, one rear brake cable and one long outer casing.The inner brake cables seem extremely strong - Cutting them to the correct size with lineman's pliers was a bit of a challenge, which is a good thing. Easy to fit. These essentials look and feel great.

I needed some new brake cables for my (Shimano kitted) hybrid and didn't want something cheap that'd rust or stretch too easily. These fit the bill perfectly and were easy to fit. Recommended; just make sure you have sharp cable cutters!

I had a cable break, so I replaced both cables with these. Slightly thicker than the original generic cables. Easy to fit, feels much more solid when i brake, confidence inspiring. Rock solid, don't think I will need to replace these.

Every cable you need to change the brakes on your bike. It comes with a shorter one fro the front and a longer one for the rear one.Just remember that you need good cable cutters to cut the cable as it is very hard to cut

I was expecting a set of individual pre-cut cables however it was one long inner and outer cable . I was able to cut them at a length to suit my requirements, so it was ok for me . Others may be disappointed.

Quality produce as always with Shimano. Word of advice. Try not to drop your inner cables on the floor, they’re lightly greased and can pick up dust/grit, and cause more friction.

As usual nice quiality from Shimano, however check your specs first as my original cables was 4mm, those are 5mm. So I was need to do some workaround to fit casing into the lever.

Had to replace my braking system for my bike. Top quality shimano product as always. Simple build and a lot cheaper than going to Halfords.

Good product, probably should have mentioned the tools you need to cut/install but luckily I have friends . . . that own bicycles too.

quality cable replacement set, but I'd expect that from Shimano. Sufficient end caps and cable cover to do the job properly

Needed some cables for my carrera hellcat 2018 which has tektro brakes and these cables fitted fine, easy to fit also

Shimano 105 deserves high quality cables, so buy these (even over their own cheaper offerings).
