As cordage goes it's okay but it's not as reflective as I was hoping. It does reflect but (1) you have to be viewing it from exactly the right angle, and (2) the reflective thread woven into the cord makes small dots rather than making the whole cord reflective. I'm not sure how the strength of this would compare to 550 paracord, but it would be fine for a washing line, tying down a tarp, lashing something to your pack, and similar needs. I'd recommend it for a camping kit or bug-out bag as long as you're not counting on it for situations where there's a lot of weight involved. The package has 16 feet of cord and weighs 0.9 oz.
