I got the 1.35in tires for my hardtail XC MTN Bike. I have two different wheel sets and swap to my Slicks when I want to commute to work/class or just train on the road, it was cheaper than buying a road bike. I was amazed at how fast I could go with so little effort, average speed of 17mph over a 14 mile trip which is much better than I could do with my MTN tires. Cornering is also amazing, very predictable and reliable grip just make sure you position your petal so you don't hit it from leaning so much. I've got a couple hundred hundred miles on them so far and could no be happier with them. I think they even look cool on a MTN bike.I am not aware of any other tires that can even come close to these tires.I highly recommend them to anyone looking to convert there 26" MTN bike into a awesome road machine. It will feel like a whole different bike.If you are running a 29er you can get most any 700c road bike tire and it will fit and probably be cheaper than these but I still think these are better. If you got the cash to get a top of the line product, do it, you wont regret it.

I was apprehensive about purchasing these tires, based on professional reviews across the internet. However the user reviews were, as usual, the real truth. Like everyone else here has said, these tires are great. The rolling resistance (contrary to a certain websites claims) is excellent. An inspection of the tire revealed it has a fairly thick center strip that is quite rigid and sidewalls that are very floppy and soft. The center strip feels like it could stand up to road debris just fine. The pliant sidewalls offer great suspension and make for a very comfortable ride. The rubber compound has excellent grip but doesn't hold on to road grime save the finest dust. Also the reflective logos are very bright and the tires just look great. Also, so far, these tires have stood up to the torque of my 500 watt geared electric motor. This tire obviously makes some compromises which its professional critics seized on to put this tire down. However I feel Schwalbe made some very smart compromises that make for a very well rounded tire perfectly suited to street duty.

I bought these Schwalbe Kojak tires (set of 2) for my Diamondback Hybrid bike with original 700x40C tires. I purchased the 700x35C and they fit beautifully, very tight yet easy to install. There was nothing wrong with my old tires that came with the bike, I just wanted a faster set. These tires are rated up to 95psi (well over my standard tires) and I have taken advantage of that. The tires grip well and though I haven't tried high speed corners, I am sure they are going to do just fine. Expect less overall weight on your wheel as well as a mile or two per hour faster overall.I paired this with higher gears and new clipless pedals and they are a great combination.Even though these tires are more expensive than the generic tires I had (about 4x),they are well worth the extra cost, so don't hesitate.Very fast, light weight, grippy, and overall high quality of materials! No complaints!

I have ridden these through all seasons for the last 3 years on my 3 mile commute (each way).As long as you keep them to required PSI, they are fantastic. The rear lasted less time than the front and the front finally wore out recently. Unfortunately I found out it was worn when I started to slide on the front in the wet!! On replacing with a fresh tyre, I have had no further incidents, but without tread, there is no telling how far 'gone' the tyre is (Hence only 4 star).Even in the snow, they aren't too bad although tread might have been nice at this time.I think the mileage I got out of them has been great.I will be buying these again. And again.

I recently purchased a new commuter bike that came with 700x40c tires on them. I wanted something slimmer and slick and ended up going with these Kojaks. I've been riding on them almost daily for over a month and have not had any issues with them whatsoever. They were easy to install with the tubes I already had. The lettering on the tires are reflective, so that is a nice point for a commuting tire. The lack or tread has made for a much smoother road riding experience and at 35c they are still fairly comfortable when filled at the proper pressure. I would definitely buy again, I would recommend to anyone who asks.

I like fast tires, hate flats, and prefer a ride that is not too jarring. This tire does it all; rarely has flats (only had one in 2,000 miles on the last set), and it is really a zippy ride. Being somewhat lower pressure (at 95 pounds) it is also less jarring than higher pressure tires I have used. The tire is also fairly easy to get on and off the rims.My only warning is that these tires do throw a lot of water when it is wet. I live and bicycle commute in San Diego so this is not too big an issue for me, but if I were back in Portland (Oregon) I would definitely have fenders with these tires.

The best bike to ride in the city is a mountain bike with slick tires. The Schwalbe Kojak is the high end choice for mountain bike slicks. This is a lightweight, low rolling resistance tire with reflective lettering, which is a big help if you ever ride at night. I got the 2.1" version, and I've put about 300 miles on them so far. It makes my full suspension mountain bike a blast to ride in the city or other rough roads. They aren't cheap, but if you don't mind spending a little extra to get the good stuff, then the Schwalbe Kojak is a great mountain bike accessory.

Very good for on road use, took it down the canal the other day after it'd rained pretty hard, coped well in light mud but in the thicker stuff it struggled. Had one puncture while riding down 5 miles of a gravel/big pointy stones path which in my opinion isn't that bad as what I was expecting! Obviously there is a compromise between weight and puncture protection but stick to the roads and away from nails and they'll be fine!

It is too soon to comment on the longevity of these tires. However, they are fast. I have a 26" commuter/touring rig that I built and these tires roll incredibly well. I haven't toured with them yet but expect them to be fine for that as well. They are easy to mount and give great traction whether wet or dry. I hope they last a long time since they were expensive and if the life is good I will buy them again as replacements.

I was looking for lightweight and durable tires for my recumbent when I bought the Schwalbe Kojak. I ride mostly country roads and I found these tires comfortable and long-lasting. I have over 3500 miles on them now and have not had a flat, which I think is a record for me. I was concerned about not having a tread but i find these tires grip well in both wet and dry. Great road/trail tires. Highly recommend.

I got a pair of these on a bike I purchased recently and liked them so much I bought a second set for a spare bike. I have gotten about 450 miles on the first set and cant see any wear on the rear tire so far and I am around 255 lbs so I generally chew thru rear tires. Very comfortable ride and solid on turns also. These are my new go to tire.

Just a bit smaller cross-section, higher pressure and a slick tread provide a speedy alternative to the OEM tires supplied on my Dahon Mariner. The original tubes were already oversized for the OEM's, so I had to install a smaller 1 1/4" tube, a good opportunity to upgrade from Schrader valves to presta (with a grommet adapter.)

So far I have done just under 300 miles on these tyres on my Moulton APB. Blown to 80lb. they roll superbly - and make a nice noise ! On smooth Tarmac they are superb, with low rolling resistance. I have also ridden on cart tracks, and sharp quarry dust cycle tracks, and no cuts on the tyres, and dare I say it, no punctures.

Relatively lightweight, and very quiet. I've put on about 200 miles, no flats. Mostly urban streets, with a short couple of miles on a fire service road. I definitely won't be taking them at high speed off-road, but dirt & gravel are not a big deal. Where they really shine is city streets. Hella fun.
