I bought these tyres about two years ago. The stock tyres that my bike came with was dreadful. For about three months I literally punctured on every ride. Someone recommended these to me as having good puncture resistance. 3500 miles later I can confirm they do.So the first thing to say is that these are fairly heavy - if you are a weight weenie, they ain't the ones for you. They also have quite high rolling resistance - there are faster tyres available (although as an overweight, slow man, speed is not really a factor for me). So, heavy and slow. However - and this is a big however - they are bomb proof. Seriously. 3500 miles riding on often awful road services, through all weathers, with glass, gravel and whatever in the roads and I haven't punctured (I realise as I type this that the cycling gods will now punish me by puncturing next time out). They are phenomenally durable. There might be tyres out there that offer better protection, but if there are, I haven't found them. If you're commuting or regularly riding on bad roads or are perhaps a bit heavier than the 55kg whippets, you might well be grateful for the protection. One final thing - they are an absolute pig to fit. You might have stronger thumbs than me, but it took me forever to get the bloomin things on. Once on, of course, they have stayed on for two years, so I am not complaining, but be warned. You might need to set aside a bit of time to fit them!

I was getting a bit fed up of getting a puncture once in a while whilst commuting to work. Specially in the winter this was really putting me off commuting (I do about 15 miles each way).I have bought these in March and so far no puncture. I am so confident now that I have changed my commute and started cycling some bits offroad. I am talking proper off road stuff. I would normally only consider doing these paths on my mountain bike (and would not be surprised if I had a puncture). Please note that I am also using anti puncture inner tubes so the combination of both are doing the trick.Although they are not slow,if our goal simply is speed then these are probably not for you.If you want to do the best ride you can find even if that means doing some less recommended offroad tracks then don't look elsewhere!

I dont like getting punctures during the cooler months in particular so decided to buy a set of these. I have only ridden 35miles so far but my initial impressions are good. The ride is noticeably more comfortable (previously riding on 23mm slicks). I expected the rolling resistance to be greater but I cant really say that I have noticed any significant difference. I was able to fit them without resorting to tyre levers. However I did make sure the tyres were left at room temperature for a while, to make sure they were more supple when it came to fit them. Due to the extra puncture protection the tyres are larger than a standard 25mm so I have very little clearance between the frame and the tyre.Time will tell whether they are more puncture resistant than a normal tyre, but I have high hopes.

I'm a cycle commuter and leisure rider, averaging +600km a month. I've been using Duranos for a number of years now, and they are the best tyres for road bikes in all weathers. I refuse to use any other tyre now. I don't think there is a totally puncture resistant tyre - but the Durano certainly comes close! 1 puncture in about the past 2 years (+10,000km) - far superior to the Lugano (I had 3 punctures in 1 week!). I found the grip questionable on Continental Gatorskins in the wet. Not so the Durano. I corner and descend at speed (on wet and dry roads) with confidence that the Durano will hold traction - as it always has!At around £20-25 a tyre, these are excellent value for money. Grippy, puncture resistant, smooth rolling and hard-wearing. What more could you want?

These are the best tyres ive ever had, Ive read so many positive reviews and i can see why. I put these on my Cannondale bad boy after taking off the Marathon plus, and straight away the difference is amazing. The rolling resistance is good too, and its like riding a slick tyre. In the wet its amazing aswell and i just love it. Everyone should seriously consider investing, you will not be dissapointed. Thanks Schwalbe, you are definitely the best tyre provider out there. Ever thought about entering F1?

I love these tires. I've bought 4 now (for two bikes), and they hold up phenomenally. No punctures, even on flint-heavy roads, with >2000 miles on the clock. The inside is three times as thick as regular tires, but they're just as fast. There's a trick to put on, they're much less forgiving than regular (breakable) tires. The trick is to get each side on carefully before pumping: wheel inside, one side in, second side in. Jump a step and you'll just look weak :)

Done research on these tyres i got a lot of information about the tyres on YouTube i bought 2pairs to replace a set of continental 5000 tyres the older ones seem not so puncture resistance when it rains a lot of stop and go with them so to the new set all the rain we have had and no punctures i got 23/700 size pressure 110 front/back i do about 150 per week miles in total i would recommend these tyres and okay to fit fiddly but you get them on in use for 2 months

I'd love to have gone for the more expensive Ultremo but couldn't really justify the cost for my use as I don't get a lot of time to ride the bike I bought these for. On the occasions I have ridden these tyres though I've been impressed with them, fast rolling and sure footed yet comfortable. These aren't the first Schwalbe's I've bought for the family stable (which includes four of my bikes) and they certainly won't be the last.

used before only brought here as they were the cheapest. Tight to get on first time but once on they do exacptly what they are supost to do. My journey is 14.9 miles into London, so I do 29.8 miles a day 5 days a week every week. i'm changing these as they are worn and there are some deep cuts in the tyre but the blue kevlar is protcting the innner tube.

On the advice of a friend I bought these as I was getting constant punctures on the commute to and from work. When of the best purchases I have made - they have saved much more money in the long run. Absolutely invincible - I inspected them the other day and all many of nasty sharp stuff had become embedded, but the tyres still carried on!

Always my "go to" training tire due to the drama free ride, superior flat protection and ease of installation! The roads around me are littered with debris, glass and organic (thorns) hazards and these tires stand the test. I've used Armadillos and Gatorskins in the past but always come back to the Schwalbe Durano Plus!

Got fed up with a repeat puncture problem while riding over small stones/gravel at the side of the road. After some investigation I opted for Durano Plus. Very impressed. Not only have they stopped punctures but they seem to have a lower rolling resistance- bonus. They are a bit more expensive but well worth it.

First impression pre ride is that they are a strongly built tyre, im a heavy rider and using them in a hot climate, will see how they fare over the rides. A little on the heavy side....but that's the least of my worries, bought for their puncture resistance and availability on 25 width.

Punctures are now a thing of the past, fabulously hard wearing and as tough as old boots, though still retaining low roll resistance and lightness. Really the best investment for any cyclist, whether the daily commuter or the casual weekender, just buy them, you won't regret it!

After suffering punctures every couple of hundred miles or so on conventional tyres, I've had one in about two years thanks to these! Like all these wired road tyres, they are very tough to fit, but with some strategic manipulation and positioning you'll get there.
