Before I go into the review proper, a quick word on the packaging of my glasses, which I bought from Neuert's. They came in the usual, large Schott Zwiesel partitioned box, but each glass had been wrapped in brown paper to help stop them rattling about in transit. Having bought Schott Zwiesel glasses before, and not having had them wrapped this way, I don’t think this was done at the factory but pre-sale by Neuert's, which if true is a nice touch.On to the wine glasses themselves, and they really are something, in fact to call them glasses really is doing them a disservice. Schott Zwiesel refers to them as goblets and this is a much more accurate description; large (very large), imposing, solid,with beautiful straight lines, they look beautiful straight out of the box and even better once they’ve had a quick clean. At 234mm high and 114mm around the widest part of the bowl, they pretty much tower over everything else on the table, so bear this in mind if the rest of your glassware is on the diminutive side.Like I believe the rest of the Schott Zwiesel range, the Pure Burgundy glasses are made from Tritan® crystal glass, which not only looks but also feels and sounds just like ordinary crystal glass. The difference here is that the lead usually added during the manufacturing process has been replaced with titanium, supposedly for extra strength, durability and resistance to scratching and marking. Ignoring the alleged robustness benefits, even if the addition of titanium does nothing for you, the health benefits of not having lead in your drinking vessels just might.However, having bought other Schott Zwiesel Pure glasses before, and having used and put them through the dishwasher many times without incident, there does seem to be some method to the madness here and it was one of the reasons that I bought these over other wine glasses. The stem feels like the weakest part, as you‘d expect, and makes washing the glasses by hand a slightly precarious and scary venture; fortunately, they’re dishwasher friendly, as long as you can find a slot that can accommodate their height, and this is how I wash mine.As with pretty much every wine glass I’ve bought, I think about one of these breaking every time I use them, probably because of the relative thinness of the stem when compared to the rest of the glass. But the truth is that they feel at least as durable as any others I have and certainly look far better than anything else in that cupboard. Yes, your face will disappear behind the glass’s huge bowl every time you drink from it but I’m told that this large size just makes the aroma of the wine come out much more. I don’t know about that, but I do love having the bragging rights of owning some beautiful, titanium-impregnated glasses.

EXCEPTIONALLY pleased with these glasses. In many ways I prefer them to my Zalto Universals. Firstly, I like the fact they are crystal glasses without the *lead* or the price tag. Being crystal means they look the part as they have that crystal brilliance and produce a fantastic ring. No need for any tricks like ghastly vinegar or lemon to make them shine...it comes built-in!! Unlike other crystal ware, these are easy to keep as they can be washed in a dishwasher.Secondly, they are far more robust than Zalto ware, which I always handle as though with kid gloves...they break easily. But with strength comes the downside - they are heftier. And you don't get that feeling of being closer to the wine that some people like with Zalto's.Neither an issue for me.Finally, I find this shape more distinctive and uncommon compared to a.n.other tulip glass.Regarding quality, I can feel a seam on the stem, which is presumably a side-effect of the cheaper mass-production method of production. I can see this being a show-stopper for the more critical consumer, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. The price/value proposition these glasses offer make it a no-brainer - I'll be buying these in future.

The glasses are fine. I just can't believe that people read these reviews- clearly written by people who can't speak English- and believe them. There is no need to make up fake reviews about these wine glasses, they are perfectly good and sold at a fair price!

I saw these glasses at my favourite restaurant and really liked them. I live in Sweden so I was a bit apprehensive ordering something made of glass online but they arrived all in one pice. They look nice and are great for cocktails, I'm 100% satisfied.

This carafe looks beautiful and elegant on the table. You are able to see the wine clearly through the glass. Just like the ones we were given our wine in in Germany. Have just sent for another. Delivery and packing were excellent.

Having drunk brandy from various shot or wine glasses in the past, drinking and savouring the aroma from a proper snifter such as this makes the whole experience that much more pleasurable. I'm really pleased I bought these.

Absolutely beautiful glasses. Just the right size for an average size hand. Great quality and very elegant. Not just for the special occasion, they're great for the post work chill.

Love these wine glasses. Had a set of 6 in Boston and bought another 6 when we moved to London. Great value and we often get compliments on them when guests come over.

Beautifully made Carafe exactly as described, nice weighted based so very stable, holds 0.5l up to the neck. I use regularly for water or wine

Decent product, appearance and quality. Delivered promptly. It is a bit larger than I was expecting for its advertised 25cl capacity.
