So... a bulky case for a massive phone... that cost over £30... and has fancy LEDs...I'll give it to Samsung, they sure know how to make a product that appeals to impulsive idiots like me. Though, maybe I'm just trying to justify my purchase of a case that cost over £30.Well, as you would expect, the case itself is rather high-quality. It's got a nice, textured feel, and fits in well with the modern minimalist surroundings of your average tech-enthusiast's desk. To the unassuming eye, it looks just like a normal case, if not a bulky one, though as soon as you hit the power button, the LEDs at the top of the cover light up in a most pleasing pattern to show you the time. Then, when you open it,the screen will merrily turn on, and then you'll have to fiddle a bit to hit the fingerprint reader, and then you'll finally be able to tuck the cover where it belongs when the phone is in use: right around the back.It does more than that. You can get an app that'll allow you to customise various patterns and allow you to make your own, and then assign them to various other apps. When you get a notification, it'll light up, and if you don't immediately go to look at it, it'll flash a pattern every now and then to remind you that it's there.Somewhat annoyingly, the hinge is a little stiff, meaning that, if you leave it open/folded backwards for too long, the cover won't properly go back down on the screen, sometimes bouncing back up in a most annoying fashion. If you have a little patience, it'll eventually stick, but the lack of magnets to hold it down is a tad irksome. The curve on the cover that wraps it neatly around the curved edges of the Note 9's screen also isn't that comfortable to hold, least of all because there's a constant worry that, if you don't hold it right/hold it too tightly, you'll bend it out of shape, and you £30+ case will be aesthetically unpleasing.Honestly, it's a stupid thing that seems more like something Apple would do, but it is a quality product, and if you bought the Note 9 at launch, it's only £30 more than the over £1000 price. However, while it may look nice, feel nice, work nicely, and fit in really well, it's just not worth it. Why have I rated it four stars, then? Well... again, it is a quality product. Just don't get it.

I've had many smart phones and tend to get through a case every year. Because of this i usually head for the budget end of the market finding one's in the region of £10 to guard my pride and joy... and they do this very well. My phones often look like the day they were bought when it comes to upgrade time so there's nothing wrong in the bargain basement in my eyes. So why go for this top end case? Well the Note 9 has been my most expensive phone to date and i had the cash to buy an official Samsung case, it looked neat and stylish and complimented the blue colour of my phone so why not. So glad i did, the fit is a perfect snug one where everything, buttons, cutouts, mic etc line up perfectly as they should with an official product at this price. The LED front is electronic wizardry, i love it. Because of NFC the phone instantly recognizes the case is fitted and adds options under the advanced features in the main phone settings menu. You get different icons flash up on the front cover when you recieve messages, phone calls etc. In red white and green. You even get an icon editor where you can assign different icons to different contacts and even draw and add your own. Just a little flip on the case and the current time flashes on the front which is a useful feature. It's just a cool bit of kit that does so much more than i expected. The camera and fingerprint sensor cutout on the rear of the case is neat and works well unlike the make do case i had at first where it was awkward to use the sensor to wake the phone up. One final thing to mention is the card holder inside. It only holds one card and an emergency £10 note which i found limiting at first as i used to carry 3 cards in my last case but I've worked around that problem. Overall really pleased even after having to pay top dollar as the product is top quality.

Great design as expected from a genuine Samsung product. I have a selection of cases and covers for my note 9. I have a fantastic heavy duty, dust proof case, which is great for when I'm doing DIY etc. I wanted a case that looked less like it would survive a nuclear attack. Something a little slimmer and sleek. This one is perfect for every day, its great for typing or watching Video as the case folds back and hold the screen in place.I love that I can see what's important without flipping the case open.I've recently fitted a whitestone tempered glass screen on my phone which is not an issue with this case. But, my previous screen protector was not compatible. That's not an issue for me as the Whitestone screen protector is so much better. I would not be happy using this case or any similar without a glass screen protector. It's fantastic when closed, but the screen would be vulnerable whilst in use. My only tiny gripe is that when talking on the phone the screen cover can get in the way a little. But, that gripe is not enough to put me off using. I have five cases, this is easily my favourite.

I've found this case to be really good for my Galaxy Note 9. Being able to see essential details through the case when the front is closed is very useful. I know some people have commented that the front cover doesn't always stay closed, but I find it not to be a problem because I invariably carry the whole phone, with the case on, in a belt holster for safety and convenience. I don't like taking too many chances of dropping my phone or of leaving it somewhere so I've found a good holster case that accommodates this very well. The Samsung case folds open to provide a stand to allow videos or other work to be shown on the phone. Also, the front of the case can be used as an emergency mirror should one so desire, even though it's not immediately noticeable as such and therefore doesn't detract from the overall nice look of the case.

Really needed a case that looks good, will last and will also turn the 'phone off when closed and the Samsung case meets all of these requirements. Price was good, as long as you aren't too fussy about the colour - we liked the grey so it suited us, but other colours were more expensive. As it is an OEM item, it fits perfectly and the quality of the leather is good. For my tastes, the leather is a little too smooth, making the whole thing a bit too slippery and this is why it gets 4 stars. We are quite nervous when handling the 'phone due to this fact. I am certain though, that once it's had a bit of wear, this issue will go away. The 'phone is turned off when the cover closes as well. Overall, this is recommended, just be careful during the first few months as the cover can be a bit slippery, but perseverance will pay off.

Paid about £20 for this, after having my eye on it while it was £40. Seems a hell of a lot to pay for a case, but I need one with a reliable vertical-position stand.Wish I'd splashed out and bought it sooner 'cos I've probably spent more on cheap cases and rubbishy stick on stands than this case cost in the first place. This case feels really sturdy; there's no flex or give when the phone is in. I've had it a week or 2 and there's no wear and tear yet (but I've not actually dropped it or anything yet tbh either).Stand works perfectly, which is the main feature for me. Works horizontally and vertically perfectly. If bent wrong then the stand clicks off and is easy to snap back on.Wireless charging works fine through the case.Fingerprint sensor is easy to reach and use.

Original Samsung product, great fit to phone and leaves all ports, buttons and pen usable. It is plastic but has a textured feel which makes it safe to hold. I got the brown one because it was the only one available but it's ok, not what I would have chosen but the price at £15 was well worth it.Such a fun thing though. The display is great in the case and it makes me smile.I use ear buds a lot and with a normal back only case I seem to get interference through them. With the full leather wallet case i have the interference stops but I lose notifications, this case fixes that. For me it's great, not too sure of the durability so I have marked it down for that but hey let's see.Love it though and my wife is spitting feathers that apple don't have them. Haha.

Without doubt the Samsung Original Standing Cover is overall the best case available for the Note 9. It is a perfect fit with a two part structure, a softer plastic inner and a hard outer shell. The top and bottom ends have a raised profile to protect the screen should the phone be dropped and there is also reasonable side protection. The softer plastic along the sides is also very grippy while the corrugated back is also anti-slip. I would describe the colours as either slate grey or silver grey. They are subtle and blend well with the phone. Physically the case matches the design of the Note 9 beautifully. The kickstand is excellent and unobtrusive.Provided the phone is purchased at less than the RRP it is excellent value.

I wasn't sure about this case after reading reviews, but tried it as the Samsung case for my Note 2 is still going, so I already trust the brand. I really like the clear front, you can easily see the time and notification icons. I also like that you can swipe the cover to change music and turn off alarms. When you open the case it also unlocks the screen, which I find useful. The back of the case doesn't cover the bottom of the phone, which I like. It means my headphones and charger can actually fit in securely. It adds a bit of bulk to the phone, but that's expected. No card holder, but the touchscreen case wouldn't work with cards in the way.

The most minimalist wallet case I have seen yet - it doesn’t have a stand feature but this helps in not adding bulk. The phone holder is also very minimalist but works well as it doesn’t block any screen use. Overall a great looking case that is made from quality materials but this won’t suit all. If you want the best protection then look elsewhere as this case is more suited to users that never or rarely drop or abuse their phone. Due to this minimalist design, durability may also be an issue. I will update this review in around 6 months if I have any problems. For now I would highly recommend this case.

This is a great cover..it looks smart and sleek..nit cheap or flimsy...I've had several comments on how its definetly worth having for such a high value phone..The only thing I'm slightly annoyed about is that there is no cover for the bottom of the phone where the charger goes although there is slight bumper edge but not a fully protectedThe display does not stay lit up when the cover is closed either ..maybe I need to adjust something I'm not sure .. all in all highly recommended!UpDATE: the time display DOES stay on when cover is closed , it was just a setting in the phone I needed to adjust!

The best phone case I've ever bought. This fits really snug and looks very good. Really grippy cover, makes it very easy to use the very large note phone. It has bit of a raised edge on top and bottom of the phone and bit on the sides which seems to be good for not too fatal slips and drops. I got this case on a discounted price but even the full price is worth the money in my opinion. It appears to be scratch resistant but I have to use this cover for a little longer to find out. Only bad point I'd say is that the pressing the power button feels a bit damped. So far so good. Recommend.

Pricey but I guess get what you pay for. Fantastic case. Not too much extra bulk and it folds easily to two landscape view points. Simply close the case when you have finished using so no fiddling around to find the right buttons. Plus you can set the time and date to stay on all the time. I'm not a case fan normally, but I wanted some phone protection and have a stand built in. It doesn't make the tea. Take no notice of negative comments because the case has a smidgeon of dust on it of it doesn't walk the dog for you. There's just no pleasing some people

I really love this case but Samsung need to address some issues with it. This is why it only gets 4 stars overallProNice feel to case not too bulky looks goodLED display a nice touchStops phone slipping from your handsConsVery expensive for a phone caseDoes not close securelyKeeps opening when phone is laid flatLED Does not stay on long enough with no adjustmentSamsung are leaders and innovators in the technology market but are just taking advantage of their loyal customers with this cover. But I don't suppose they read reviws

I think overall that the case protects the phone well. However I don't like how the front cover doesn't stay shut, its not even magnetic. I dropped my phone and the case opened leaving my phone screen down on impact....luckily I was in the house and the floor was cushioned. Had I dropped it outside im certain my screen would have been damaged. Would expect the front cover to stay secure around the screen for this money. It's a shame because otherwise it's a nice cover that isn't too heavy or bulky.
