The pedal is great: does everything it claims and sounds very good. However, there's just one practical consideration that is worth knowing about.In a live situation, you'll probably want to switch patches between songs. (To use the pedal to it's potential, you'll want to programme a patch for each song - to set the corresponding key for harmonies, have the delay in time, etc.) So you'll want to have the songs programmed in the right order. Easy enough.But ... to switch to a new patch (song), you either have to (1) bend down and turn the dial, or (2) switch it with your foot.(1) Crouching to turn the dial is easy and only takes a second, but may not look too cool if you're trying to hold an audience.(2)

I decided to buy the Boss VE-20 despite already owning a TC Helicon Voicetone Harmony-G vocal processor unit as I wasn't all that impressed with its performance. To date, I have absolutely no regrets! Both items are similary priced and appear to be near enough the same thing.HOWEVER, the Boss VE20 is far more substantially built and gives both better sound quality and better overall control of the effects provided.Reverb, double tracking and delay are all provided on preset and user settings.The vocal harmonies are 3rd and 5th notes (both aboveand below the root note) along with the usual silly settings such as 'robot' and 'radio'

The seller delivered the item on time and the process was seamless, the pedal was used at a gig 1 day after the purchase and I found out a few niggling problems. We tested the pedal beforehand and got some really good effective sounds, the harmony's 3rd and 5th sound excellent if sung in the correct key, but, but, when we played live we had some initial problems achieving the correct sound level because the Ve-20 kept feeding back through the foldback, big problem if you can't hear what's coming back through the foldback, at the moment I'm reserving judgement because I haven't had time to play with the Ve-20, but prior to the gig it sounded excellent.....

someone has previously described this as the 'Greatest Hits' of pedals - does it all . Not cheap, especially considering it rather bizarrely doesn't come with a mains adaptor, but it's very well built ; metal casing. I'm using it to enhance my tenor sax playing, mainly using the Double Voice tool, which is bolstering the sax sound. Others I know are using it for flute, and of course vocals. It has it's own independent reverb facility too. I think this unit needs a lot of time spent exploring the different sounds available, so be prepared to put that time in, but it is absolutely the perfect pedal for Voice and instrument harmonizing and enhancement.

An excellent vocal solution from Boss. Simple and straightforward to use with everything you need for high quality live vocals. The reverb and delay are great as expected. The vocal enhancer is transparent (as long as you avoid the pitch correction) and the harmonies are fantastic. It takes a little bit of playing adjustment to ensure that the pedal knows what chord it's supposed to be making a harmony to but the fact that you just play and sing with nothing really to preset and then get such great results makes this a winner. Would suit a solo performer or band.

Early days but bought this for my Mum and it sounds fantastic.Her only complain was she didnt have it ten years ago when she could have gigged with it!Easy to setup, I bought a couple of extra leads and her amp had a mic and guitar line input so the amp did it all.Lots of choice of types of chorus and easily selectable via the central knob.Will be nice to record with it as last time she needed chorus she had to go to a studio and do a chorus track herself.Plenty of reviews on Youtube.

I've tried many different vocal processors, most of which try to do far too much in my opinion. The Boss is very focused and provides easy and quick access to the crucial things (reverb, delay, voice reinforcement and a great tone). There are a few silly extras (Robot voice etc.) but you can forgive that when the main components are so good. The sound produced is clean and clear. It actually gives you confidence to perform when you know your voice sounds so good. Well done Boss.

It is simple to use the preset effects but I've spent many hours in the user defined effects and have as many questions. If reverb is added in your user effect then how does the Reverb button interact with your setting? Does it overide it, or does it add reverb to the dry signal (with the effect pedal off?)And why is there not an active forum where the ve-20 can be explored with much more experienced users?

Set the PA up and had a play with my new toy haha. After a bit of playing around and twiddling with effects knob and setting the harmony to suite my vocals off I went. The unit is reply easy to work ( and I'm thick ) only joking. Made up with the purchase and the fast delivery. I would recommend this addition to any entertainers equipment, small , lite , and a great help on stage.

A very nice pedal indeed, great fun when used with a looper... this has all you need, i would recomment this over the ve-20 simply because its easier to use and setup, sounds just as good and although it has fewer features it has the ones most people care about - the ve20 has a looper built in but if you have a looper already go for this...

This is a truly spectacular effects pedal offering vocal effects, guitar effects and looping. Vocal harmonies sound great with this pedal and really enhances vocals and guitar. An incredible product for the performing musician or for the home.

Great little box which enhances the vocals. Did a Bank Holiday gig but difficult to see which button was light up and loop suddenly came on. Not sure what caused it maybe the heat but did resolve it. would highly recommend it.

Really great effects pedal, very simple to use and really polishes up the vocals. Harmoniser is great an very simple to set up. I use it with guitar mainly but it also works well with keyboard. Great sounding harmonies.

Whether for live use or studio use, this little box is very usefull.some effects a bit gimicky, but the things you really need are good enough quality.Very good for instant harmonising on stage.

A great piece of kit. I use mine as a voice changer for my cosplay and it only took me 5 mons to programme it how i wanted. My friends can't believe how good it sounds. I recommend it
