I purchased this product for my mens 19" hybrid bicycle primarily to protect it from the rain as I have no space indoors to store it.It's a strong and durable nylon cover which feels strong enough to withstand wear and tear and to protect my bicycle from the natural elements. The size fits comfortably and doesn't touch the floor (which is a good thing). There are velcro straps on the front and rear to keep the cover secure during strong winds, however it is such a snug fit already that this is not necessary.I've had it a few days now and so far it's done a good job at keeping the bicycle nice and clean. However it has just started to rain heavily and I went outside to check the water resistance of the cover - not very good.

My original review said "I ordered this because of the Raleigh name. The packaging says it fits all bikes - it doesn't fit my hybrid bike as the handlebars are too wide so the cover doesn't cover the front or rear gears at the same time. On the plus side it has kept water off the seat but this could be the first item I return to amazon".Having gone for a ride today and tried to put the cover back on, I realised that the cable lock I was using was part of the issue. I had chosen to secure the bike using a bracket to a wall which is of similar height to the top of the bike frame. This meant the cable lock was stopping the cover from covering the bike. Luckily,

This Raleigh bicycle cover fits my bike perfectly. It is an 18inch frame with 26 inch wheels hybrid bike. Making sure to have the yellow tab at the back of the bike, it reaches to just above the ground (a good thing) and secures easily with the two velcro attachments around each wheel. It is big enough for me to be able to then turn the handlebar so the bike can lean against a wall. It has coped perfectly with several very very heavy downpours, including an "all dayer". The wind gets underneath the cover, but as my bike is leant against a wall it hasn't blown over, even in some high winds.I haven't found any water to have made it's way onto my bike, but after reading a couple of other folks reviews,

I bought this cover to stop my saddle and the rest of my bike getting wet overnight, as I only have room to store it in my leaky shed at the back of my garden. Needless to say, it's certainly done it's job. It makes it satisfying to collect my bike in the morning and see a nice puddle of water gathered on the cover, knowing underneath it is a nice dry vehicle!It doesn't cover the whole bike; it fits it similar to the picture. However it fits over my saddle, gears and chain with no problem whatsoever.It comes with a travel pack which has been brilliant; I can easily pop it into my bag before travelling off again.Overall, a fantastic product which has certainly done it's job well,

RALIEGH Atb Heavy Duty N cycle cover:I have purchased cycle covers before and within a few weeks, they have ripped or simply come apart.I was reluctant to purchase anymore, but the review on these sounded good.I ordered two of them.I was reminded to place the covers on with the yellow tag to the rear as they are shaped.Now, I have had these a little while, we have had some really high winds and bad weather (as we all are aware)and did they rip or come apart? No! but nearly lifted one of the cycles in the air with high winds!! So in my opinion, although they seem expensive compared to others on the market, you get what you pay for and I would rate them a good 5 star.Helen-Swindon.

Brought for my retro 80's Raleigh shopper, and its a bit on the large size as its such a small bike, But it does the job perfectly as I store it on my outside stairs/landing which is open to the elements. Velcro strips keep the cover in place, and its still intact after gail force winds/snow/ice/rain. There are cheaper covers available but id recommend this if like me you have to make do with storing on balconies/stairwells anywhere outside. Also it does make your bike slightly more invisible/more of a faff to would be thieves.

It's been raining fairly non stop for a while where I live and I decided to ditch the tarpaulin cover I had over my bicycle and order a proper bike cover! I'm so glad I did. firstly it looks better than the tarp, secondly, I love the little velcro straps which wrap around the wheels to stop the cover blowing off. I haven't checked the bicycle lately to see whether it's dry, but it has to be better than the tarp cover and the great thing is it hasn't blown off like the the old cover did.I think it's worth the money.

After several months living in the lounge (it's a big lounge and we don't have a shed or garage!), my girlfriend pulled rank made me put the bike out. Her bike lives under a cheap cover from argos, and the durability was reflected in the price.This cover is a million times better. The handle bars on my mountain bike are quite wide, but this cover fits with ease. It's a good length and covers the gears, pedals and most of the 26" wheels.It's been on the bike from october to date, and looks as good as new.

I have used this cover before and it lasted a good few years before the weather finally took its toll, so I had no hesitation in purchasing another. This product will not last a lifetime. I don't know any material that would, frankly and certainly not for 16 quid! I have a very large bicycle with panniers so it pushes this cover to its limits but it still covers the bike to a sufficient degree to keep the British elements out. Very prompt service as usual from Amazon.

Great product. Water resistant. Currently I cover my cycle (adults road bike), cycle for 2 year old and two other bikes. Well actually only the handle bars and saddles get covered. I will be ordering another one as it is not ideal for 4 cycles!!!It has rained a couple of day and the saddle is dry. No complaints about this product. Yes I do agree that it is fabric and it can tear but you just be a little careful.I am going to buy the same product again.

I love the fact that this is nylon, not plastic, so it shapes itself easily over the bike, no sharp edges, it hangs like fabric, and doesn't go cold and brittle in low temperatures. Make sure the yellow tag is on the outside and at the rear end of the bike, then it is easy to get the right way round, as the handlebar end is a wider shape at the front.It also folds up easily and packs away when not in use.I love it and highly recommend it.

Given this 4 stars because it really is weather proof. Been on my bike for a month straight now (haven't cycled in a while), and it's been holding its own.However, even a 20" frame, it's very tight, especially around the handlebars. Would be nice to be able to just drape the bike, rather than fight with the cover to get it on.Would say that 3.5 stars is more accurate, but other than the size issue, it's a great product.

This is my second cover bought from Amazon one bought last month and the other at the back end of September 2011.9 months trouble free usage of the first cover convinced me to buy a second. The velcro tabs at both ends of the cover allow you to tether it securely around the tyres to keep the rain away from the top 4/5's of the bike. Good quality product and also speedy delivery from Amazon as usual.

Bought a cheap one on ebay a couple years ago...it didnt cover the whole bike and ripped within a week...ended up using it to cover some wood.However this one is GREAT. Covers the whole bike (you do have a front and back way to put it on) and it comes with velcro staps to attach to wheels so it doesnt come off.The fabric is strong and cent see it ripping anytime soon. Very happy with this product

The cover works very well for me. The material is nylon-type (similar to tent covers). It keeps my bike dry, apart from the bits in direct contact with the cover (most notably the saddle). This is not a problem for me and I think could be fixed with some impregnator spray.The cover itself is robust and fits a standard bike quite nicely, such that a normal-strength wind does not lift off the cover.
