Worked well for me, with a few caveats:1.) Somewhere along the line between opening the box and installing the skewers, I lost one of the security-keyed nuts. So my seat is still using a quick connect, and I'm hauling a cable lock around to secure it.2.) The front skewer was dangerously loose after a week of heavy commute use, despite being safely secured at installation. This issue has not recurred.3.) The keychain unit just seems about 2x bigger than it needs to be.Despite those issues, I feel like my bike is now harder to steal than the bike next to it in the Boston subway bike cage.Regarding the "buy this common tool to defeat the system" comments: The devices are now shipping with a special washer with a raised edge that you put under the security nut to defeat that attack.Seems like it might work. Has anyone used the special wrench to defeat this system with the updated security nuts installed?

I just bought a new Specialized road bike, and I enjoy taking long rides and stopping for an hour or two to eat, have a drink, or do some shopping. This purchase brings a bit more peace of mind. This set protects essentially your entire bike, including both the front/rear wheels, seat post, and the entire front stem. I had a bike shop install everything except for the seat clamp, which they claimed would not be compatible even though it was.Everyone will tell you that there is no way to 100% prevent your bike from theft, especially in New York, but with these special nuts installed to replace the quick release/hex screws on most bikes, and with a decent u-lock/chain to secure your entire frame, most thieves will simply move on to easier pickings.

I've always been getting around with my bicycle but always used 2 locks. One for front wheel and frame and one for rear wheel and frame. It's always been a pain in the backside to make sure it's all secure. I've been looking for anti theft skewers. Saw a cheap chinese set on ebay and a reviewer on YouTube broke them off with a set of pliers. I checked all over the internet and came across these beauties. Now I just use the 1 lock and my bicycle feels so safe now. Registering the keys is easy scan the qr code using your phone and register your key so you can get another one if you want. Best bicycle skewers you can buy. Especially if you've got an expensive bike.

Incredibly easy install, the 4 pack set I got included the seatpost lock with the ring and spacers for different sized tubing. Took less than 2 minutes to figure that out and install... going to take a thief a lot longer to defeat it to get my suspension post and Brooks saddle. Less than 30 seconds to install the headset lock, guess that saves my suspension fork from just disappearing. The hub quick releases took a few minutes more, apparently these are updated with washers that make it harder to remove with pin socket. Combined with good D or U locks, hopefully thieves will go on to an easier target and get run over by a truck walking away.

I very much like having the locking wheel skewers, and the headset lock is a good addition to that (if you have the correct type of headset, which is easy to check). My complaint is that the seat lock has very mixed compatibility: It replaces the bolt in your seat clamp, but requires that the bolt hole be sufficiently large. You also need enough flat(ish) space on either side for the ends to sit. You can get a special seat clamp that works well with this, but that's really overpriced and potentially not compatible with your bike (eg, if you have your brake cable hanger on the seat clamp).

With this 4 part kit and my trusty On-Guard U-Lock, I feel confident locking my bike up while out shopping and running errands. Unlike many of my housemates and employees, no one has tried to steal my bike, as evidenced by lack of damage to the U-Lock and skewers. Even if a determined thief can defeat security given time and circumstance, having this set definitely makes thieves move on to easier targets. Highly recommended.

I use these pinhead locks on my hybrid/commuter bike so my wheels/seat are there after i get off the train. There easy to install but be wary of the key, it has fallen of my key ring on more the one occasion, its probably worth while to order a second key off the companies website ($20 with a coupon code). So if it wasn't for the weak key ring design I'd give this five stars.

Wish this was cheaper but it is an effective way to be able to keep your strippable parts on the bike. I am annoyed that the seatpost collar and an extra key didn't come with the full set. At these prices I didn't expect to have to buy extras. The only consolation is that Pitlock, the leading competitor, is even more expensive.

These work pretty well. Easy installation for my wheels and handlebars.Only complaint is that the pin for the seat didn't fit either of my seat collars. The pin was too short. Pinhead sells special seat collars.Overall, I still recommend this product.

Just recently installed these locking skewers. Very nice, I noticed little to no difference in the ride quality. I also feel a bit safer locking up my bike. I no longer need to carry my front wheel with me. I do recomend Pinhead locking skewers.

I installed the locks on my bike, and they seem to be working so far... I ended up taking the one off of the seat post because i couldn't get it to tighten enough... i need to re apply it and see if there was something i was missing.

exacty what I was looking for. arrived on time.installation takes 10 minutes.I've also painted the heads with 1euro black spray paint to look more generic with my bike color

Most convenient and smart way to protect your bike from wheel, seat and handlebar theft especially in big cities like NYC where I live. Less stress for me. Great product

Skewers work well, seat-clamp was a bit hard to put on, but otherwise fine.Headset lock didn't work well with my bike, and caused my headset to quickly become loose.

i've tried several of these. and these are the best. Also lots of thieves are not familiar with them so, it really slows them down. The headset lock is genius.
