I like the tear drop cross section of the steel tubing on this stand. It stops my bicycle from twisting or moving around when it is mounted to the repair stand. My bicycle is quite heavy so this was a feature that I needed and it is a big improvement over the PCS-10.The quick release clamp at the base of the repair stand needs to be sufficiently tight to stop the lower support legs from folding up and collapsing. I learned this when I first used it. If it was not for my speedy reaction I could have damaged my bicycle. This was not a problem with the previous PCS-10 because there was a steel push button which locked the lower legs in place, in addition to the quick release clamp at the base. This new stand does not have the steel press-in buttons. I found it fairly hard to rotate a bicycle when it is mounted in the stand because I need to tighten the top clamp a great deal to keep the bicycle frame from rotating around. It does work but it requires effort. Although you may not experience this if you have a lightweight racing bicycle. I own a heavier city commuter bicycle with a pannier rack and wheels with heavy touring rims.I found the assembly instructions fairly easy to follow. I noticed that there is no indication markings on the safety limit when you try to raise the height of the repair stand. There is a discrepancy here with the product instructions. There was a limit marker on the previous PCS-10. So I have to roughly guess the maximum height adjustment now without the upper tube detaching from the lower vertical tube. The small parts tray is too small to be of much benefit. I can hold a few small parts and some tools but I have the extra optional tool tray which is better designed and can hold much more. Also I found it hard to adjust the position of the small tray in relation to the top clamp. The repair stand is made in China and I would have preferred it to be made in Europe or the USA. The cost of the product is fairly high considering the lower cost of manufacturing in China. However, the build quality is good. This is a sturdy, solid stand, which is reliable and should last a long time with good care and maintenance. It was fairly easy to set up the stand for use and fold it away for storage but I always find it awkward to put the repair stand in the Park Tool storage bag. Also, the repair stand is heavy. This is a good quality repair stand and probably the best available at this price. The main disadvantage is that it is heavy and clamping a heavy bicycle in the repair stand requires a lot of tightening of the various clamps. It is hard to know how much force is required for safety and when there is too much tightening or too little.

I just assembled the bike repair stand and I'm realy impressed with it. It took about 10mins to do, theres not that much to bolt together and the instructions with pictures is very clear and percise, and it comes with. Allen key and spanner?I then put my 32lb mountain bike on it and put it through many angles and it passed with flying colours , i am impressed, i should of bought this one at the start, but instead i got a not so.well brand and it failed on me a few days ago the jaws broke and my bike came crashing down, that's what i get for buying cheap. The jaws on the 10.2 open and close evenly the adjustment height bar quick release is perfect and the length of the feet take the weigh nicely,You may be wondering is it worth buying this at the price it is?I would decently have to say YES. It's worth every penny. I own a few other park tools items and they have never let me down, when it comes to doing a job rigth dont cheap out on rubbish tools, your not being clever or saving money, cause you end up disappointed. If your into bike repairs, do your self a favour and buy this, you won't be sorry.

I had a cheaper stand for a couple of years, it kind of did the job but also didn't - I wasn't confident in its gripping ability and often found putting force down caused things to slip etc so I decided enough is enough lets get a proper bike stand.I was tempted to go for other brands, slightly better priced and looked similar but nope Park Tool are known for being the standard so that's what I'm getting.Wow, I'm glad I did - easy enough to put together and it can hold my bike in the position I'd want even upside down if needed, and i don't have to tweak bolts or break my hand trying to clamp down bolts/screws in an attempt to make it grip,it's just a few quick turns and then clamp with the very sturdy feeling quick release - job done.Easily adjustable & sturdy height/position as well so everything just feels very solid, this thing is going to last me many years of general bike maintenance if not forever.

I was going to buy the PCS10...But I read on some reviews some people had issues with it, I almost bought another make, I had about £200 to spend on one and then I did some research and saw the UPDATED version for 2019 the PCS10.2...As per norm I read up the tiny amount of reviews and riders loved the new updated stand...I set it up and it was childs play tbh. (I recorded the setting up on my cha.nnel "KG UK" look for a black and white logo) And I was really impressed. I was also concerned if it would hold my heavy DH bike? It did with ease, In fact the build from the PCS10.2 is the best I have seen, Its heavy and super strong...What you would expect from a top end quality bike stand,And the tray comes with it... IF you have the money to stretch but this!!

It's very good, anyone moving to a stand from now having one will never go back and I'm at that stage of my life where I only want to buy things like this once. It's sturdy and holds a lot of weight and you can get trays for it to hold tools which is not a bad thing (but you'll have to buy them). Minus one star because let's be honest, it's expensive and despite what purists might say, a lot of jobs can be done by turning your bike upside down or in my case resting the saddle on a broom handle suspended and clamped between two garden chairs. I've not had a cheap stand so couldn't comment on whether this is a significant upgrade.Anyone looking at this knows the brand makes good tooling and this is no exception.

First off, yes, it's easy-peasy to assembly and right away you will appreciate the sturdy construction. And the adjustments are very well thought out and flexible. So in my case where my custom seat post is not accessible to be held by the stand, it's easy to clamp right on to the bike frame itself. The only "ding" against Park Tools I'd give would not be the repair stand but what appears to be a flimsy travel case. For $30 they should offer something very sturdy like the one I got from Amazon here (that fits perfectly): Kylebooker 52" Soft Rifle Case Outdoor Tactical Gun Bag

Stand is made with high quality parts, and is well engineered. It gets the bike to an ergonomic height and position for mechanical inspection and work. The height and rotational features are very simple to use.My only gripe - the shipping box is full of staples which 1)make it difficult to open, and 2)are a safety hazard, making it easy to lacerate a hand when opening the box. Many top companies completely disallow the use of stapes for assembling and closing boxes for these reasons, particularly the second one.

A couple of years ago I bought a cheaper stand. While I thought I was saving my money, I was really just cheating myself. The difference between that stand, which was typical of most budget stands you'll find, and the Park Tools home mechanic stand is like the difference between riding in sand and riding on smooth asphalt. Where budget stands are often tricky to clamp and hardly allow you to rotate your bike into any position, this stand clamps quickly and can actually hold a bike in place when you rotate it.

Easy assembly, sturdy, does exactly what it’s supposed to with ease.I have over a multitude of bicycles and wanted a stand to help me with maintenance and repairs so I wasn’t spending a fortune at the bike shop. This does the trick, as advertised and it’s already paid for itself as if done my own disc brake repairs, cassette changes, wheel/tire maintenance, general cleanings, drivetrain updates/Maintenance, etc. all without issue as this is simple and secure. Two thumbs up!

Got this repair stand specifically for my Luna BABE ebike. Delivered with no issues and assembly was completed within 15 mins. Tested the stand with ebike attached for over 12 hrs and stand didn't move.I like the fact that they included the two allen wrenches, but the spanner wrench is small for my hands, that I used my own. The provided tray really doesn't work that well, as it gets stuck when trying to move up and down. Other than that, the product works as advertised.

The only complaint I have is that the gooseneck doesn't fold up too. When the legs fold in it stores well, but the gooseneck still sticks out. There are other brands that do fold- and some reports are that those are not as sturdy as this.. and if that's the trade off I'll take a little harder to store over compromised durability. I had no problem cranking down on this to free a stuck bottom bracket- if the legs/post were thinner I may be worried about breaking the stand.

I have resisted buying a stand for years, it's been easy enough to flip my bikes upside down and work on them. Even refused my neighbors offer to use his. With a new bike figured it was time, after looking at options decided in the Park stand. Very pleased with it. Construction is solid, holds the bikes very well. I'm sad I waited so long to get a stand but glad I waited so as to be able to get this one. Spend the little extra, I'm pretty sure you too won't regret it

The stand is perfect for my e-bike which weighs around 30kg so well within the limits - but take the battery off first as it makes the bike easier to lift. Assembly of the stand was fairly straightforward but I did need some extra tools than the ones supplied. Rather than use the ridiculously short spanner supplied, I used my own socket set which made it much easier. It's a well designed stand and easy to hang your bike upon. Recommended.

I grew tired of servicing my bike in awkward positions, trying to keep the bike from tipping over while leaning against something so I finally broke down and bought myself a repair stand. I'm glad I chose this particular product because it is very sturdy and easy to use. I like how it folds up easily for storage on a hook on my garage wall. I'd buy this one again and would recommend it to my friends as well.

I don't run a team so I don't need the pro version of this stand. Expensive enough at this level but streets ahead of my bargain basement stand that I've struggled with for years. Wish I had bought this earlier - hold all size of frames at any angle and holds them firmly. I look forward to many years of luxury bike servicing! (at least it won't be a fight to get the bike in the right position anymore).
