In the last ten years, we bought two breadmakers, of the cheaper models (around 70€). As we make around three breads/week, these machines lasted about 5 year, mainly because I was able to repair these when they failed. Most people would probably have thrown these away after a couple of years. The cheap machines invariably fail at the same places: either the seal at the bottom of the tin wears out and leaks, or the slide bearing inside the machine will wear out until the machine breaks down. These cheap machine are simply designed and engineered to fail after so many cycles of use. What a shame.So we decided for once to try a more expensive machine, that costs twice the price of a cheaper variant.

Very happy with it - keep using it for the last 6 months. Make sure to follow receipts and there is 100% success rate.I'm starting some experiments with new receipts from the internet with 80% success rate which is good.
