This is a cost-effective tweak to squeeze a little more out of a non-gaming budget PC, especially when Amazon sells it for under thirty quid. I had installed a Palit card on another system, so I trusted the brand and went for this. It is a surprisingly compact piece of kit that does not require a separate power connection. It was the first graphics card I ever installed that did not require a wrestling match to fit. Running on the default Windows drivers my Pentium G3220 system felt a little slicker and booted a little faster, making this card a good budget buy for a little extra smoothness.*Update 1: It seems there may be issues with NVIDIA graphics and some versions of Linux. My dual-boot system with Windows 7 and Linux Mint was one of these. Do some due diligence if this applies to you. (Other flavours of Linux may be OK.)*Update 2: In Windows 7 I had a problem with viewing Now TV (streaming Sky TV) and got an error message. After doing some research the solution was to replace the Windows driver for the card with the official NVIDIA driver. After a custom install (selecting just the driver and PhysX - all I needed) and a reboot the problem was solved.

recently built a cheap media centre pc for my Philips 4k tv in bedroom which had a radeon hd 5450 1gb card in which was fine in 1080p mode but wanted something that could display ultra hd video so purchased this 2gb card after much consideration, 1st of all don't know about it's gaming performance as I have a very powerful i7 system in living room that can kick ass on any game but was not purchased for that reason is small and passively cooled, perfect for my media case, so uninstalled old amd software swapped card installed latest nvidia drivers dead easy set up no probs went into resolution settings in windows 7 and the 3840 x 2160 recommended setting was there ding dong result from a sub £30 graphics cardno brainer if you looking for the perfect media centre card, was concerned as rest of system was ddr2 ram, intel core duo lga 775 2.6 gb cpu not the latest tech, so compatable with older systems great, ran some sample 4k videos off youtube and all good don't think anything else at present, maybe next generations of APU,s may have the 4k capability but for now you wont go wrong with this card

This is definitely an improvement to my GT 610 and performs so well in comparison. It meets the needs of light 3D applications, Video and 2D graphics very well, and can even fit in smaller cases such as Small Form Factor PCs
