This is a brilliant little set of puzzles. Great for vocabulary building and observation as well as fine motor skills’ development.I bought it for my 18 month-old grandson who, at first, was happy just to identify the right pairs of animals and make the relevant noises. However, the pieces and the interlocks are a good size, and perfect for small hands, so it wasn’t long before he was fitting them together with hardly any help.Once he’d mastered the farm animal puzzles, we mixed them together with the jungle animals pack to make things a bit more challenging. We’ve had both packs for a year now, and they have been heavily used - now also by a younger sibling - but are still in excellent condition thanks to the heavy duty cardboard used. Thanks for reading my review.I hope you found it helpful. This little pack of puzzles is great value for money, as it’s very versatile and supports a whole range of developmental skills.I bought it for my 18 month-old grandson, who started by simply putting the pieces into the right pairs and making animal noises. As his fine motor skills improved, he was quickly able to fit them together on his own. It helped that the pieces and the interlocks are a good size and easily handled by small hands.Once he’d mastered the jungle animal puzzles, we mixed them up with the farmyard animal pack to make things a bit more challenging. The puzzles have given him hours of fun and, despite heavy use, have maintained their original condition due to the high quality of the cardboard. Thanks for reading my review.I hope you find it helpful. I bought this for when my son turned two and am buying it again as a gift for a friend's son. This has been a hit with little boys and girls ever since I got it, regardless of whether they are puzzle affictionados or not.The images are cheerful and appealing, the pieces fit together easily and it is relatively durable. My puzzle shows signs of wear but it was also put together several times a day for at least a year and gets taken out again whenever younger children come over.I like the fact that there are both two and three piece puzzles since my son quickly got the hang of putting the puzzles together. It's quick (which is encouraging for them) but not too easy that they get bored. When they get older they like matching the people to the vehicles.I also like the fact that this product was made in Britain (more eco-friendly than if it came from China).

This is a brilliant little set of puzzles. Excellent for vocabulary building and sorting, as well, of course, as developing fine motor skills. My little grandson was quite happy at 18 months to simply identify all the pairs and then have help putting them together. It wasn’t long, however, before he was able to do that himself, as the pieces and the interlocks are a good size for small hands. He lost interest for a while once he’d mastered the puzzles, but now a year older enjoys instructing his little brother (16 months). Despite very heavy use, the pieces, which are made of good thick cardboard are still as good as new. Thanks for reading my review. My little boy (26 months) is digger (and most other construction vehicle) mad... and loves jigsaws. So I had hoped we were onto a winner with this. Sure enough the dig dig dig box gets brought out every day. The box is ideal because he can already do the 2 4 piece jigsaws himself and is working up to the 8 piece ones. He would have got frustrated if they had all been 8 pieces. It's a nice way of passing 20mins or so!It's also handy as he's learning his colours and of course all the diggers are different colours. I like the fact that the drivers are 2 men and 2 'ladies' as he calls them. The only small complaint is that there are some extra pieces with pictures of bricks, roadblocks etc which aren't part of the jigsaws and only serve to confuse.

I love these sticker books. I bought them for my 15 month old son and have cut them up into smaller strips of stickers to keep in my 'baby bag' for outings. Stickers are my saviour for eeking out another twenty minutes of quiet in cafes etc. he loves them and thinks its hilarious to stick them to himself too. I take a page out with me along with the stickers as they stick to the page and can be taken off and re stuck again and again. To round up, he obviously doesn't use the books for their actual purpose, but still loves them and I love that they keep his interest. For the price of the book I've probably got about twenty smaller lots to be taken out on day trips.Would recommend them and my sticker tip too!

We bought this jigsaw set a few years ago when our son was about 2 years old. It was his first jigsaw puzzle. He loved playing with it repeatedly. It captured his attention with its transport theme. The pieces were nice and chunky to make holding and bringing together easy. And because the puzzles are only two or three pieces each a child can quickly get that sense of achievement of seeing the finished picture. As he got older he began asking questions about what each vehicle did.I would very much recommend this puzzle for young boys and I am returning to this product to buy this as a present for my nephew. In general, I find most Orchard Toys products well thought out and innovative.

My 16 month old son still loves this jigsaw. Initially he enjoyed looking at the pictures and watching Grandma put them together with him. This month he wants to play with it several times a day. He matches the pictures all by himself and makes the animal noises - he does get very cross when the pictures fall apart (as jigsaws do if you try and play with them like an action figure!) Best of all with only 12 pieces it takes very little effort to make putting the pieces back in the box a game too. As another reviewer suggests they are very durable and have stood up to a few cleans after being played with with weetabix hands. I am certainly going to buy one of the other sets now!

i bought this as part of a birthday gift for my nephew who was turning 2 years old last month. His current obsession with fire engines meant that (for me) this was a very easy book to choose and knew that it would be fully appreciated by the recipient. i wasn't wrong - he loved it. and because it includes other important rescue squad characters means that when i play the puzzle with him, i can teach him the importance of what other rescue branches last the lifeboat and ambulance service do as well. i am a big fan of Orchard Toys and would throughly recommend these puzzles to any parent who is looking to furher develop their child's learning.

This has to be the best puzzle ever for a small boy. My son got it for a gift when he started doing puzzles like this from an earlier than normal age.Although he mastered it early he enjoyed playing with it again and again for many months. Enjoying the different vehicles and shapes each with different amounts of pieces and therefore degree of difficulty then naming the colours and describing vehicles use, He then progressed to taking all bits out box and therefore made it a larger pieced puzzle fist having to sort them into the corerect pieces for each vehicle. Chunky sturdy pieces easy for toddler to hold on to

I have been buying Orchard toys for children in the family and who are small friends for nearly 20 years. They are the most superb quality and children love them. This little jigsaw set with an age of 2+ is for an advanced 1 year old with a 3 year old sister, who will undoubtedly help her. The pictures and colours are a joy. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I have never had a game from them that has been disappointing. They are all beautiful. It is interesting, too, to hear the reactions of parents who have not seen Orchard Toys before. They are as delighted as the children!

We bought this puzzle, among others of the same sort, for our daughter when she was just 1 1/2 years old. She loves playing with it and is happily telling us the words for each puzzle once she put it together. The pictures are great for small children. Colourful without being too "baby-ish", with a lot of love to detail. Our daughter has learned how a jigsaw puzzle works with these easy ones. She is now tackling puzzles with 4 - 6 pieces and loving it. I can highly recommend any of the two-piece puzzles. From what I can judge, they really are of great educational value.

I bought these jigsaws for my 18 month old and he really liked them. They are great, as in comparison to some similar products, these animals are all the correct colours and look like the proper animals. The puzzles are really useful for practising animal sounds and learning the basics of puzzles. My son, now 20 months, gets the puzzles out of the box himself and can put them all together without help, so it is a great little activity to keep him entertained for a few minutes. The product is also very durable. None of our pieces have been bent or damaged yet!

Bought this for my 20 month old son. When it arrived I realised I had probably made a mistake. He finds the 2 piece puzzles too easy so I thought this a good mix of puzzles, however a couple of them are too hard for him at the moment. What is great for my son is that he can find all the pieces that should go together because of the colours and then together we can work it out. His older sister who is nearly 4 also helps him out which is lovely to see!I am a real fan of Orchard Toys. Great quality and Amazon has fantastic prices compared to the shops

I bought this toy for my 2 year old great nephew. His Mum said he really liked it. I remember my own children having this kind of educational toy and loving it. There are two and three piece jigsaws in the box, which are easy for little hands to hold. They are bright and cheerful colours and pictures. As the child gets older he/she will be able to match the little people to the right vehicle. I think this is a very good buy. Also there aren't many toys sold for age 2, they seem to be for babies or children over 3 years. Very good price on Amazon.
