just to let you know before i write this review, i havent recieved anything by way of testing this product from the seller, i am a private buyer and my views are my ownim a 36'' waiste and 6ft tall and i ordered a 36'' long, when i recieved them i was excited so i tried them on to find out they were to long by about a foot and they were to tight on the waiste, so i send them back and got a 38'' waiste and a short in length, again excited to get them and once i tried them on they were perfect, just enough room to wear a pair of tracky bottoms or a pair of shorts underneath, the knee pads are in the perfect position what ever style you have when riding a bike, there thick kevlar and really feel like a good quality and also waterproof, they have a full length zip on both sides from the waiste down to the hem, and when wearing your boots they fit perfect and dont catch whilst your walking or try to get your leg over the bike, so in essence, if your 6ft tall i reccomend you get the short fit and go up one waiste size then you will find out there a perfect fit, ive had many kevlar trousers over my years of biking, but i have to say for the price you cant go wrong, there tough, excellent quality and really comfortable, so i highly reccomend these motorcycle trousers and this seller, im fussy when it comes to protective clothing because at the end of the day, they save lives so i have to give them 5 stars as i cant find a fault with them......

I'm really impressed by these, especially given the price. They are excellent overtrousers with full length zips on both legs.I bought these so I could ride to work in my work trousers and boots without having to remove the boots or get changed on arrival. The trousers are well designed and are made to a high standard from high quality branded materials such as Cordura, Scotchlite and YKK zips. The belt and buckle feel robust. They are lined with a smooth material that allows you to easily slide them over normal trousers or baselayers. There is no thermal lining but they are quite thick so would be fine in winter with either normal trousers or baselayers underneath.I think they would be warm in summer over jeans or trousers if you had a long commute on a hot day especially through traffic, but that's the price for convenience. They do have a waterproof breathable membrane but how breathable I can't yet say.I'm a 34" waist with a 33" inside leg. I initially bought 34L as I thought they'd be sized bigger, but they were too tight over my 34L work trousers with a belt. I sent them back direct as per enclosed instructions for a 36L which are perfect as overtrousers. There isn't anything else with full length zips at this price point, and very few bike trousers of this quality at this price full stop.

I got 28S but although it's short length it's 30" length so it's a bit long for me (28" length). The adjustable belt will help keep it snug around your waist but the trouser and belt does reach high up above my waist by quite a bit. It's very good wearing over trousers or jeans. I got the full length zip thinking that the trousers or jeans would gather up as I put this on normally but the slippery inside material made is easy to pull up. The exterior material is strong (Cordura), I say this because I skidded and fell off the bike, which scratched my leather jacket and underneath it there were small rips and tears, but this product and the trousers underneath were fine. The changeable knee pads protected my knees well but there was no hip protection, so it hurt my hip. There are strong zip pockets on the sides of the front and an extra zip at the back to attach to a jacket I presume. It is waterproof and windproof as far as I can tell but I was wearing thermals when temperatures were reaching 0 degrees so I was not feeling cold on my legs.If you care about protecting yourself on a bike, then this is a great purchase and worth every penny. I wanted something cheaper but I think I would have come off far worse when I fell off the bike so I'm glad that I got this.

This is my second pair of these trousers, having purchased a pair for winter riding a year ago. There has been a marked increase in quality for these latest trousers in the material & stitching. The previous pair were in two parts, the outer & a winter liner that zipped in. They had removable knee & hip protection built in.My experience over the year is that the seams started to fray & rip appart & they were not waterproof. These new items are soo much better, however are constructed as a single unit ( no double layer ). This is not a problem as they are sufficently thick. They are waterproof as tested on the road. I have a 38" waist & 32" inside leg & wear these over my regular jeans so I bought a 40" waist with the long leg 34" which are perfect, not too tight & easy to get over my motorbike boots. These latest haveremovable knee protectors, two waterproof zipped pockets & the legs unzip fron top to bottom, secured by velcro.Would buy again.Update.....Was taken out by a car driver last week doing 40mph, ended up sliding on the tarmac. The material around my knee was badly ripped, however the protection stayed in place & saved my knee from damage. Not even a bruise on my knee. Already ordered a new pair.

Lovely and warm and quite waterproof on my particular commute of 20 minutes tops. I did have an all in one rain suit but bought these strides along with a Richa Rain Warrior coat and it's loads better in bad weather now. They fit very nice, not baggy or anything, they actually look smart when attired and slip on very smoothly due to the silky inner lining, although you have to be careful not to catch your toe in the kneepad pocket. I never use the side zips so I feel they should be omitted, because they are very easy to put on and allow you to bend over tieing up your boots etc with no trouble, just as if you were putting your jeans on. I bought the same size as my jeans, 34, and they fit great. The length of the leg in the long fit is 34, so they are exactly the same as my usual jeans fit actually, 34/34. Very warm though, the first time I wore them it was in howling winds and rain, and my legs felt just as warm as if I was in a car, very impressed. I will ride with them all the time now, until much warmer climes in Spring or Summer. Side pockets are very welcome too. Excellent purchase!Update February 2021: 5 years later these over-trousers are still in great shape and keeping me warm.

Ok so first, I bought these one size bigger and when I put them on I thought they were huge, but the adjustable straps mean I can tighten then up to fit nice and snug. I recommend buying 1 size too big so you can wear thick trousers underneath as well as work trousers. The trousers are warm and well constructed with two small side pockets and zipped outside legs for getting them on and off with ease.Knee pads are sound and whilst there is no hip protection, they do feel robust.I am tall and the long leg is great as the trousers still cover ankles when in riding position.I have not worn these in rain yet but they do offer much higher level of wind protection than my armoured Jeans. For the pricethese are a great trouser and they make it simpler than having to take armoured jeans to work with me and have to change. You would not want to do too much walking around in these, especially on days 20 degrees + I put them on in the garage and take them off as soon as I am off the bike.

I'm a 44 waist and 5'11 tall with a "long" leg size usually. I wanted these to go over my work trousers. I ordered the 46 long to be on the safe side. They turned up quickly and look like excellent quality. They seem a bit TOO big though. But that's my fault as previously stated. Leg length seems overly long stood up, but sat down the length is just right. The knee protection sits right with a bit of adjustment. I have LOADS of waist room, to the point i might have too much. I have asked to try the 44 so we'll see what happens and I'll adjust my review accordingly regarding the size. As I said, all the negative points are my own fault not the product or seller. But over all and excellent product!Very happy. (update; supplier said I would have to buy the smaller size and then return unwanted pair. Not made of money so will stick with the size I have. Only thing I would suggest for improvement of the product is leg ties for the lower leg. And possibly buttons on the waist for braces).

For the price, they are fantastic.£40 and they're still going over 2 years later, being used on the daily 15 mile commute. The velcro on the fly has started coming off but the zip and press stud mean it's not an issue. They've gradually got less waterproof and they never kept out HEAVY rain, as water would get in down the side zips.I only ever used the side zips once. The velcro and super long zip is way more hassle than just removing my boots and sliding them off. They have a nice smooth material on the inside that makes taking them them on/off over your clothes a breeze. They are decently warm when used correctly as over trousers. Then fit over larger boots. The knee protection moves a little and in a crash I'm not sure it would stay in exactly the right spot. The material is fairly thick and I feel perfectly at ease commuting in them though. Not recommended for any motorways or higher speeds but for £40, they are better than I expected them to be.

Really pleased with these trousers as they were the only ones with full length zips I could find, which I need as I wear them over work trousers to commute. I'm 34 waist so even though description says they're cut larger, bought 36 and they fit great. Also bought 'long' (I'm leg 31) so they cover my boots. Could be improved with some ankle cuffs as you do get a draft riding feet forward on a scooter and pockets lack insulation, so cold at the top of your legs and expecting more so in winter. Could also do with a pocket access zip to get to trouser pocket beneath instead of having to undo the belt every time, but may just cut through the pocket linings.Overall though, very well made solid kit,not at all disappointed and would recommend, but with some tweaks could be almost perfect.

Ordered one size up from my normal size and trousers fit as I would expect for one size up. Some of the reviews say that they are 'oversized' - I would not order them without going up one size. They seem really well made and the full length leg zippers are an excellent feature making them easy on - easy off. Another plus is that the lining is not the usual 'mesh netting' type lining that snags your shoes/boots when trying to put them on. Unless I have a pair of large boots on, I can put these trousers on unzipping the legs. Also - delivered really quickly from Bike-Wear-Direct as they have on my previous orders from them.In short - I'm really pleased with the trousers and their delivery.

I bought these trousers for my sixteen year old son. I wanted a pair that provided the appropriate protection, fitted well and were easy to put on so he would wear them, I got just that. The zips up the sides make taking them on and off very easy as you don't have to remove your boots. My son is tall and thin and I was a bit worried that the length might be too short but they were fine. They are also very waterproof and definitely keep him dry. There is a zip at the back of the trousers which he can zip his coat to if he wants. He is extremely happy with them and wears them every time he rides his bike. One happy parent!! Overall a good product and excellent valve for money.

They look ok, I bought more for the waterproof than the protection. They are quite russley and scratchy but I suppose that's probably to be expected.I'd rather not find out but I doubt they'll be very protective, if your main concern is protection I'd advise that you spend a little more and buy something that you can see and feel first.*Edit*These are not waterproof, my junk gets extremely wet. The groin area leaks badly but the legs stay dry ish***2nd Edit***I came off the bike unfortunately and was protected by the trousers, I was doing about 40 and did a little slide, broken ribs, bruised ego but legs were ok.

Bought for my daily commute, easy to get on and off, seem to have good levels of armour. Bought a size up to fit over trousers, but probably could have got away with my reg size and they would probably still fit.Got a good luminous stripe that shows up in the dark in car headlights, but it’s not hugely overt the rest of the time.Nicely wind proof and pretty water proof too. I have to wear a suit to work, so last thing I need is suit trousers with a wet crotch! My commute is only 20/25 mins so not done hours at a time in the lashing rain. Got caught in a deluge the other day though and they did the job nicely.

For the money these pants are fine,I have'nt actually been caught in a really heavy downpour so can not say if they are totally waterproof! But for a shower they seem fine.Only down side I can pinpoint is and it's not a dealbreaker, but there are no pockets in them! Ideally for me they could do with 2 zipped pockets on the sides, but none the less they are worth the money and do have full length velcro and zips right down the legs.Little tip if your putting them on over your boots instead of undoing the velcro and zips, Just put a carrier bag on your foot and it helps the pants go on easier...

Bought these for my son for Christmas, had to exchange them as I’d ordered incorrect size. They were very helpful and quickly processed the exchange. Unfortunately my son has discovered they are most definitely not waterproof even in light rain which is very disappointing as that’s one of the reasons we choose them!! They leak all down the sides on both legs, zips and Velcro securely fastened resulting in wet trousers underneath so these offer poor protection from the rain. They keep my son warm and would be very comfortable if he didn’t get wet!
