This is a reasonable model of the Ice 3 but the track supplied cannot really cope with a high speed train.The scenery needs to be painted, yet this was not mentioned anywhere. I bought it as an extra for my husband's model railway, so painting and improving the scenery is no problem for us. I can imagine an older child (fore warned) would enjoy the task, but I'm sure it would be a bit disappointing for a younger child on first opening the box. If a picture of the back of the box had been included in the description, it would be clear that it comes as grey plastic (scenery not train). The controller, though very basic, can power the train at very slow speeds, which is good, but this particular train ,

I returned because of the item used. Several scratches, broken parts and no UK plug!My kids were very disappointed.
