This is exactly what we needed, something more soft shelled and light to carry Baby around when visiting friends and family, as our car seat was fitted professionally so we like to keep that fixed in the car and have an alternative for transporting Baby from car to house or on short walks where a pushchair isn't appropriate..This is soft shelled and is made rigid with some plastic inserts - you have to assemble this upon arrival and there's an optional hood you can zip on, which we like as it makes it more cosy for Baby when sleeping.Very handy to keep Baby feeling comfy and secure on visits so they can sleep but it is not intended for overnight sleeping.Lovely and light to carry around and very manageable, especially through doorways - plastic carry seats can be too bulky and awkward so this is ideal. This is made to fit onto the Laika Stroller but we're actually using this on its own as it's perfect for what we needed but good to have a multi-use item as well.Recommended, good quality and very handy.

The cot requires some mild assembly - putting the plastic edging inside the zipped sides for structural support, and zipping the hood and cover on. I found the zipping up part the most difficult as the thin plastic zips are hard to use, but once it’s on it’s on.Coming in at just over 2kg it’s nice and light, anyone who’s had to carry one with a baby in before will know you want to start with the lowest weight possible! The grey is lovely and the colour is very in vogue at the minute. It goes great with the black plastic of the stroller and is just dark enough to not drastically show up stains.Easy enough to spot clean, however not machine washable.Comfy mattress, well designed. It fits on the Maxi-Cosi stroller well and I had no problems at all. It did replace the exact same in a different colour so I wouldn’t expect any problems with the fit to be honest.Pricey. But at least you can trust the brand and know it’s compatibility. As expected really, I’m happy with it.

The Maxi-Cosi Laika stroller is light weight and all about compact design. For the same reason the carry cot follows suit and the fact that it folds flat is better still. If you are using it to travel or day to day if space in the car is an issue, I’m sure most people would find benefits to the design. The colour and styling compliments the stroller well and it securely clips to the stroller with ease, the attachments for connecting the two are supplied with the stroller. As other reviews have said it can also be used without the stroller perfectly well. The polyester material is wipe clean, the sun shade the same. The mattress adds a good level of padding and most importantly the two carry handles feel very secure and make moving the cot around without disturbing baby really easy to do.There are a number of other soft carry cots out there, a number of them cheaper but this one appeals for the aesthetics and it’s a must if you already have the stroller.

A wonderful solidly made, but soft carrycot that will give your baby a comfortable ride and give you the confidence that they are safe. The whole things weighs less than a bag and a half of sugar and yet is really strong. The whole cot folds up compactly when not in use and the weight tells you that this is not a problem to carry around. The handles are very well made and the strength this gives the carry cot is amazing.I don't have one, but it attaches to a base made by the same people that allows you to wheel it around. This is really a big plus and whichever way you look at this, this is a superb carry cot with extra plusses. The 100% polyester construction makes it easy to wipe down and to wash too,so that this product can be kept in a clean condition for baby and it will stay looking good enough for your next baby as well as this one!A really excellent product that I feel we really need and I am confident that it is good for my baby too!

We ordered this soft carrycot because daughter is expecting her second baby and our grandson has not yet graduated to a proper bed when they come to stay - this fold flat carrycot will be great for baby's first months (up to 9kgs). We do not need it for travelling, just for sleeping. If you want wheels you will need to buy the appropriate chassis from the same manufacturers. Please note, it is NOT a substitute for a baby car seat though. The carry cot comes packed flat and it is amazingly light in weight. You simply add in the strengthening panels to give it some rigidity, mattress is included, and an optional zip on top and small hood. It is made from a wipe clean polyester fabric in dove grey flecked with white.Easy to store and quick to put together, with sturdy carry handles for transporting from A to B without waking baby, it is a perfect solution for our imminent need.

This carrycot is extra lightweight, making it easy to attach to the maxi cosy stroller. It comes with a mattress, making it comfy for your newborn baby to lay in. This product is quite small (not very wide) and would probably only support your baby until around 4 months of age. But of course all babies are different and you may be able to use it for longer. As this product is easy to put on and remove from the stroller it’s really handy for when your baby has fallen asleep and you want to pack the stroller away, as you can just take it off and leave the baby in the carrycot, basically like a Moses basket. When not in use this folds up really small, excellent for storage and saving space as baby products can take up a lot of room.

There are pluses and minuses here. The main plus is that it is very light. It also looks quite smart and seems to be carefully designed. The price of this is that it the main body has a cheap feel of artificial material that doesn't feel particularly nice on the skin, the hood is made of plastic and it is held together with thin nylon zips.It comes in 6 parts which need to be constructed. It isn't difficult but it does require 24 pictures to explain (since no words are given) and that is before you get to the section that illustrates how you use it with the pushchair (which you can buy separately).Overall, it's well designed but other than the weight,I don't feel super enthusiastic about it.

Although the Maxi-Cosi Laika Soft Carrycot is made to be used with the Maxi-Cosi Laika stroller, it can really also be used as a stand alone carrycot. It doesn't have any fittings underneath, it simply lies flat. It is a well made, good quality carrycot. I like the simple design. I particularly like that you can zip the hood to the carrycot body or leave it off. It folds up fairly flat when not in use. It comes with a padded mattress (although I wasn't too impressed by how thick it is). I agree with other reviewers that overall, it isn't ultra padded. A nice carrycot nevertheless.

This carrycot folds flat, which is imperative when travelling, or if you're short of storage space, and it's simple to put together and install on the stroller. It's also extremely light, which is another huge advantage. The interior is well padded and super soft and the handles are strong. Easy to take on and off of the stroller, so that you can just carry the whole thing straight upstairs if baby's asleep. Not the cheapest on the market, but very well made and designed, and the soft grey is a lovely colour too.
