Very useful torch design. Not the brightest. The Velcro strap allows me to use it attached to my wrist, to concentrate the light beam from behind the tool onto the work. For a flood lit area, use a DML 808. Now that is a light. At this price, there are no complaints. I have a couple round the house and in my car. Good value. Must stress, don’t expect a parabolic reflector searchlight!

Rated 35lumens minimum (as printed on top of mine). Buy for the runtime not the lumen output.Has a very narrow beam, similar to a focused maglite.50hours runtime expected from 3.0aH Makita battery.(Corrected earlier typo on lumens, it is 35 not 30)

I have a very large garage and it lights it up no problem, bought it before I read the reviews and thought it was going to be rubbish but it is bright so maybe others are faulty, don't know about battery life but happy with the brightness

A great combination, utilising already owned Makita LXT Power Tool Power Packs... using a 18v, 5Ah, expected usage is 95 hours... brilliant! Great price, will probably purchase 1 more. Very bright & compact... highly recommend!

Looks and feels good for what it is.As for the size with the small battery (BL1815/1820) just feels fine in palm of the hand. It works fine, but could be a bit brighter.Will see how long it will last.

Top product as you would expect from such a trusted brand. Only used on my 1.5h battery so far, but has provided 30 nibs of constant light considering the price, you need one if these......

Works well, not extremely bright but will do for what I need. No adjustment for brightness or articulation of light head. Good price and I am happy with the function and build quality

A compact LED torch, very handy when working space is limited. It won't light up a whole room but at night it leaves a distinguishable spot on dark background half kilometer away.

A Makita quality LEF torch for the 18V tool battery packs. Not worth buying a battery and charger just for this but a sound addition to the Makita tool bag I already own

Light good for camping for which I purchased it for, but I would not recommend it for a work light as it is not powerful enough.
