My club allows trolleys on the course regardless of the weather, although spiked wheels must be used after November 1st. This is all well and good, but last week after tramping through mud following the ruts and divots of countless other trolleys, i decided it was time to carry until the ground improves. So i bought this lightweight bag. It is not the most robust bag in the world. It does not have massively strong reinforced stitching. It is not voluminous. But none of this matters. I knew it would be none of these things, It is exactly what i wanted it to be, a small lightweight well made waterproof bag that will carry a cut down selection of most used clubs that enables me to dance around the quagmire that is my golf course, keeping my shoes and trousers cleaner. The makers claim to take a full set of clubs, why it they have done this i really do not know. Yes you could probably shoehorn a full set in to it, but why would you want to??? That it not the reason to buy one, and probably not the intent of the person who designed it. The clue to all of this is in the description.... it is ONLY 6" at it's widest point. I have a full set of clubs that i religiously trek around the course twice a week, in the summer months, i may use 7,8 or even 9 of them. I rarely use every club, and use a lot less clubs in the winter. I would be amazed if any one reading this uses every club they carry, push or tow, every time they play (see where i am going with this...). No, the intent of a bag like this is to cut down your club selection to the 6,7, or 8 clubs you most often use, fire them in to the bag and go play some golf. And after all if you need a 7 iron but chose to carry a 6, use the 6, choke down on it and learn to become more inventive with your shots..... and bring some versatility to your game.Everything about this bag is cut down from a full sized bag (except the height, it is as tall as a full sized bag). Get you head around this, do not try to ram everything from your full size bag in to it, take care of it, and hey, you actually do have a very good, well made, versatile, value for money golf bag here.

The weather this year has been so bad our course has been open for carrying only on many occasions. My old trolley bag is too heavy for frequent carrying. So I decided to give this a go. It is very light and with 6 inch diameter I can get almost a full set in with waterproofs, a few extra balls and drinks and nibbles. The double shoulder strap makes it a comfortable carry and to be frank I think it is easier than pulling a trolley through heavy ground, especially with the hills on our course. So I have used it carrying on a few occasions when trolleys were allowed but the groiund quite heavy. There are a couple of niggles: the first is the umbrella holder, for which the top end slackens easily, leaving my umbrella behind on one occasion. I haven't taken the umbrella since, but I'm sure I can fix something up. The second is the straps holding the shoulder strap. After a short while they started to slacken making the carrying angle too flat. (This may have contributed to the umbrella falling off) But I found its much improved if you tighten the adjustors hard against the rings to which they are attached. I have been able to get out on the course more frequently and have now used the bag quite a few times. It has (despite the niggles) proved to be a very good buy especially at under £30 from Amazon.

I bought this bag in response to re-engaging with playing golf as a fitness regime, as well as pleasure (a debatable adjective where golf if concerned I reckon). Walking a brisk 9 holes on a more regular basis seemed a good thing. This bag is really great and could at a push take all my clubs, spare balls, rain jacket and all the other golfing 'knick-knackery'. The bag is very well made and lightweight. With a slimmed down set of clubs walking my club course, which is pretty hilly in places, works really well. The double shoulder straps are adjustable and comfortable without being too bulky. Leg stand does what it is meant to do, and can be strapped back if you want to use trolley or cart.Zipped raincover provided is good.. I played last weekend with some friends over from the States and really noticed the effort they had to expend, even using a trolly, lugging their gargantuan (and I suspect fiendishly expensive) golf bags around the course. This bag is brilliant and a real deal.

Ordered the black bag on Sunday night, and arrived on Wednesday, a day ahead of it's expected time. Was really impressed. For a similar spec bag at the clubhouse I was looking at paying around £100, so this really is a great alternative. The bag itself seems well-made enough, there doesn't seem to be anything that is loose or shoddy. The action on the legs is smooth, and they work well to hold the bag in a sturdy position.I can fit plenty of clubs in it as well. 2 woods, 4 irons, 2 wedges and a putter all go in with no problem, and that's about as many as I would ever use on a round anyway.Lots of room for spare balls, tees, glove, sunglasses etc, with more if you ditch the rain cover in the largest pouch.A sensible purchase, highly recommended for people like me who aren't all that serious but enjoy the occasional round!

As the winter has not been too bad we are continuing playing golf through out the weather. As it was becoming tiresome having to clean the equipment I decided to buy a few pieces of clubs and a lightweight bag which would allow me to carry these items which would reduce the cleaning time of the equipment at the end of each round. This has been a brilliant suggestion and not as tiresome as one would expect. The Longridge 6" Weekend Stand Bag has been an integral part of this winter equipment and has served the purpose exactly as it was designed to do. If a golfer is able enough and in good health this is an inexpensive way to go which allows one to carry on playing during the winter time.

This bag is great. I first made the mistake of buying the Longridge Travelite 5" bag and as others have said, the non-detachable top was rubbish and with a mallet putter I could only fit three clubs in it easily. The quality was also a bit dodgy! So, I ordered the Longridge weekend bag and wow what a difference. Quality is much better and the design is excellent. I can fit 7 clubs easily and I've heard other reviewers say it can take a full set (although I'm sure this would be a bit of a tight fit). For the price is amazing. It's lightweight and not bulky. If you're in two minds between this and the travelite, go for the weekend bag! It's infinitely better for just £4 more.

I purchased this bag because the full size 13" one that came with my clubs is far too big and heavy, and takes up the entire car boot. This one is only 6.5" and has as many pockets as the full size one for coats, balls, tees, etc and I have been able to fit the entire set of clubs in it too!An added bonus is that the foot which operates the legs can be detached and the legs have a Velcro strap that holds them closed, so it fits easily on to my golf trolley, something that many stand bags do not do.My local golf shop were offering me a similar bag for the 'bargain price' of £119! Soooo please I looked on Amazon before committing to a purchase.

The Longridge 6" stand bag sounds like a teeny bag, but it is more than capable of carrying a good half set of clubs plus a driver and a putter. There are also various pockets - large and small- to fit a wet suit in, to fit golf balls and tees, for a drink and a sandwich etc. The quality of the bag is also outstanding. The bag can be slung over the shoulder or just as easily mounted on a golf trolley.I bought one for myself on the basis of Amazon customer recommendations.I liked it so much - I did not buy the company, but I bought one for my son as well.

Delivery was prompt. The bag is nice and light and is perfectly adequate for at least a half set of clubs or more. The straps are comfortable to wear but a extra pocket would have been useful. The tall stand makes it easy to remove clubs but I think it needs to be treated with care to ensure a long life. However so far I have been pleased with the bag, I think I made a good choice in terms of value for money and meeting my golfing needs.

This golf bag is an excellent product and as good a quality as you will find in any golf bag. Small and light, you can actually get a full set of clubs in it just about, but works best if you keep a maximum of say nine or ten. Pockets are ample and I would recommend this bag to anyone to use as a spare for guests, or to keep a minimum amounts of clubs in the car boot just for the off chance of getting a game in somewhere.

I bought this bag for use on a nine hole par 3 "pitch & putt" course where I did not want to lug around a full set of clubs on a trolley. For that purpose it was ideal. The stand opens up easily and the bag is sturdy but not too heavy. My only criticism is that the shoulder straps are awkward to adjust. Otherwise a good bag, value for money with all the usual pockets for balls, tees, score-card etc.

Used these several times for when I only wanted to carry a few clubs around. It is possible to get a full set in although as you would expect a little difficult to extract one club from 14. If you take less clubs then its no problem. These are perfect for taking abroad or on short breaks too.Ample room for all the things you need to carry around the golf course.

I loved the bag until after a few weeks of use one of the zips pulled right off. I can not repair it and live abroad so it is expensive to return. When using such a small bag every pocket needs to be used, on inspection quality of finishing in zip areas is quiet poor and it is inevitable this will happen. such a shame..

I just needed a bag to carry a few clubs for practicing. However I am surprised that it will comfortably hold 10 clubs and there are plenty of pockets for accessories and on top of all that it is easy and light to carry with the double shoulder strap. Problem is the more you put in the heavier it gets.

wanted a bag that I was able to use when trollys were not allowed due to weather, it needed to be light as I find it difficult to carry clubs etc because of the weight as I am in my 70's so this bag was ideal carrying a half set of clubs it enabled me to continue playing through the winter months.
