Bought September 2011, I've just ordered my second one of these, so that tells you something.Firstly, mine came with a clear covering sheath to the armoured cable; just as functional perhaps, but nowhere near as attractive as the black sheath in the photo.If used as intended (check Kryptonite's website for suggested usage) the lock works perfectly. A quick squirt out using spray lube in the lock overcame some roughness early on, and since then the lock has been mechanically faultless.The covering sheath has developed some radial slits though, perhaps due to UV degradation as the lock is used outside. Other than the aesthetic aspect, I have yet to see any side-effects of this such as the armoured cable rusting,
