I've have cheap UV torches and this torch completely outshines them. It gives a better quality UV light and illumiates much more when examing the UV details on a banknote. The build of the torch is minimalist and sturdy. I would describe it's weight as medium, as it seems neither light or heavy. It feels good in the hand and is comfortable to hold like the size of a chunky marker pen. It takes lithium batteries which come supplied. They are slightly more expensive to replace than AA batteries but well worth it. If you are looking for a quality product I would highly recommend this. It's worth the price. The cheaper torches I've owned lack in construction quality but most importantly the light from the Inova X5 is far superior.
