I wanted to upgrade a Lenovo ThinkServer TS140 that I bought recently and so decided to give this a go so bought two of the 16GB kits for 32GB in total - these aren't the cheapest kits out there but Kingston have always made good quality computer memory so are a safe bet (I also use Crucial Tactical in another TS140 ok). Ideally I would have bought unbuffered ECC but I've got a house and wedding on the way so a 50% saving is a bonus right now as this is as cheap as it has ever been. The memory was delivered next day in standard blister packs which computer memory comes in - there's also a Hyper-X sticker included if you like that sort of thing. The TS140 had an issue after POST (it would hang with a flashing cursor)with this memory fitted when running firmware 99A, however I upgraded to B3A and now it works perfectly well and I've had Windows Server 2012 R2 and VMware vSphere ESXi 6.0 running perfectly well with all 32GB seen correctly. The info from Memtest86 is "PC3-12800 DDR3 800MHz / 10-10-10-30 / Kingston KHX1600C10D3/8G" - this shows the memory timings and the 800MHz is doubled to get the 1600MHz figure this is advertised as.Always check your motherboard guide when installing RAM to ensure you're populating the correct slots first (yes there is a correct optimum order), and always ensure you install pairs into matching channels for the best performance. If you've bought multiple pairs of these and you're filling all the slots on the motherboard then no need to worry as they'll all be the same. The modules have heat sinks installed which wrap around the top and also have the branding on the top and you can pick these up in multiple colours - there is no difference in performance between colours, they're just marketed for people with cases with viewing panels so they can pick a colour which suits the build. The TS140 has the first two slots very close to each other (and the CPU heatsink) but these fit fine, if not a slightly tight squeeze so if they work ok in this they should fit pretty much anything.I've run these modules through Memtest86 with no errors to report in either single CPU mode or all CPUs in parallel mode - screenshots are attached to show the info. It's always worth checking your build out with something like Memtest86 as it proves whether the modules are faulty and is a good indicator of whether a system should be stable.

Being a primarily PC gamer, I need to make sure my PC keeps up-to date on a lot of areas. So, when my PC had reached 4 year's old with the same 8GB's of RAM as when I got it, I felt the time was to finally replace them. After a little looking around online, I came to the conclusion that this was more than likely my best option, and I was not wrong, I will tell you that for nothing.First off, the price was the cheapest I could find of a popular and trustworthy brand; so I knew going into this purchase that I would be getting a high-quality product from a quality brand. When they eventually showed up to my door, I didn't hesitate in opening up my PC to install these new, red bad-boys. Now,it must be said, I don't think I've ever really looked at RAM before and gone, "Well, isn't that an attractive piece of kit." Well, after opening the packaging that is exactly how I felt and I knew that this was starting to go well already. But, alas, it's not the visuals of the hardware that matters, it's the performance and whether it actually works or not and I can certainly say that it does.Moving onto installation, there was little-to-nothing to it; after all, it is RAM. RAM isn't exactly known to be hard to install, so that took almost no time at all. Once it was successfully installed, I powered on my PC, and quickly got to checking it had installed correctly and without issue and you know what? It did! The RAM had no issues whatsoever during the entire process and is working perfectly with no issues cropping up in the time that I've had.Overall, if you're looking for a RAM upgrade for your PC, then this is more than likely going to be one of your best options. I may not be able to make too much use of the RAM at this time, but I know in the future that having the 16GB's of RAM that I get from this will most assuredly make my computer's job easier. So, all I really have to say is that if you're looking for a new RAM upgrade, you probably won't need to be looking around for anything else; obviously, providing that you're looking for 16GB's that is.

My pc has been unstable for years. I always knew it might be the memory. But always refrained from buying expensive memory because my mobos manufacturers manual stated that the cheapo memory I was using was compatible. Yesterday I decided enough was enough. After receiving the sticks and plugging them in today I was worried. My mobo can take a max of 8 gigs in 4 x2 configuration, but to he'll with it I was sick of getting memtest errors after 5% with my previous sticks. I didn't care that this memory isn't even in my manufacturers list of approved picks (mobo predates memory by a few years)! But after researching through partspickeruk I decided on these sticks. Put them in, pc booted. Good sign.Went into bios and upped voltage to 1.65. Tightened stepping to 999 24. Bios defaulted to sticks to 1777 mhz. Didn't change this as the adaptive clock rate on the sticks meant that it was lower than its max and so tightening the stepping would be fine. Am now running a 4 core memtest using 6000+ mb and still no errors. One of the most satisfying buys in years!!!

While brand and product line reputation isn't as much of a necessity when purchasing RAM, it either works or it doesn't, Kingston has an excellent level of brand loyalty among it's customers and with good reason. Their warranty quality (in the UK at least) is superb and if you have any issues with their products they'll almost always get it sorted. As for this stick I purchased a single 8GB white stick at £24.99, a great price for DDR3, you'd be hard pushed to find anything cheaper (new) anywhere else. The sheath over the chips is, as far as I can tell, metal, adding to the premium feel and adds little height to the profile of the ram so it shouldn't cause any issues with large CPU coolers.Theassortment of colours will doubtlessly serve anyone looking to theme their PC build. All in all a nice premium feel product at a value price. I've had no issues and I doubt you will either.

Bought these (pre-Brexit) for a shockingly cheap £24, to use as a downgrade for a 4790k HTPC conversion. Excellent RAM in every way. It was the best bang for the buck option I could find, and looks much nicer in my opinion than the equivalent Corsair LPX series (although not as nice as vengeance led's or dominators, but you get what you pay for). Certainly very pretty RAM for the money. At the end of the day it's RAM, the performance is the same as any other RAM at the same frequency and CL - it doesn't bsod and that's what matters! Perfect for using in an HTPC, or similar level browsing and media system and even a little photo editing and light gaming here and there. If you're main intention is gaming, editing, designing, composing etc. I'd recommend getting 16GB or more as this might not cut it.

Does what it says! Not much you can say about ram... Silent, works, looks awesome.. although blue is actually dark blue not baby blue like image! But dark blue looks even cooler anyway! Heat sink is at a minimum so should fit under the majority of CPU coolers! When taking the ram out of its plastic packaging it was kind of hard, im sure the ram pcb is strong but was hard to get out as the plastic was a tight fit to the pcb of the ram! Price of ram has increased since last year (or last year ram was all on offer) so the price was a bit steep but that goes for all ram! Checked bios and all 8GB is running at the 1866Mhz! When buying ram make sure your motherboard supports the clock speed and the voltage of the ram!Not much else you can say about it...

Okay, a quick note on this product...So far it's pretty good though it has only been 24 hours and haven't really started overclocking or playing about with it's speeds yet as I'm still running another 8GB but with slower speed (1333 MHz) so this runs at the same speed for the time being, I am going to be getting another 8GB of this shortly once funds allow. As to the product itself, easy to install but slightly higher than my older RAM so the old fan cooler will definitely be getting in the way (already have a new cooler, just need to fit it). Plus the colour fits in with my Sabertooth 990 mobo so not too much of an issue there.Once I get the cpu upgrade and other slight bottlenecks this should at least improve my rigs speed quite dramatically.

The RAM arrived today with little packaging mess (always a good thing) and took less than a minute to install. The RAM in white looks really good and the casing material feels solid and high quality. In terms of performance it's perfect, works exactly as described and I can finally have multiple programs open whilst simultaneously playing a video game without stutter or lag.One quick note however! You may notice upon installation that Windows' task manager shows the RAM as running at 1333MHz and not 1866MHz. Ignore task manager, it's wrong. If you use CPU-Z to analyse memory it displays as 933MHz (which with dual channel is 1866MHz). I sat there for ages wondering why it was running at a low frequency, turns out task manager is useless!

Great product. Upgraded from some old 2x4GB sticks to these hyper x fury 2x8GB. Since I got them working have noticed a massive improvement in response and smoothness.Very easy to physically slot into motherboard and they have a low profile so don’t block cpu fan.The only niggle was Getting them to be recognised by my mother board. I have an MSI 970 Gaming motherboard which is over 5 years old. When I put them in and booted up I had nothing but black screen.I put my old ones back in and bit of googling later I found out I had to update my motherboard bios by downloading the latest update to improve compatibility for Ram. Once I did that and put the new hyper x sticks back in it worked fine.

Put this in my new computer and have had no issues whatsoever. Looks great (I have a windowed case, so this is important), arrived quickly and at a good price. Couldn't have asked for more. When considering whether or not to buy this I looked over some benchmark tests, and although it seems middling on paper I haven't had any issues running intensive games on high settings. Excellent product, and I would consider buying more of the same RAM to upgrade my system in the future should I need it. Would recommend this to people building their computers who want aesthetics and a decent amount of power. Note the chips are huge and won't fit in a laptop.

i made the mistake of trying to shove all my new parts in at once and nearly destroyed everything, think my computer was so shocked. had to put one stick in then boot up before turning it off to put the other stick in. works a charm now though.overall i would recommend these. just make sure the 1333MHz is the right kind of speeds that your motherboard handles (mind is an older foxconn model so i need 1333MHz)super easy to install (turn off pc, ground yourself and push them into the right motherboard slots till the latch clicks)on a side note: they look spectacular, the shiny metal red looks so nice compared to generic sticks.

Let me tell you something about Corsair, they bring out acceptable products for THEM but not for me. I was using 2x4GB 1600MHz Vengeance sticks, which have always been a bit fiddly. Plus they don't look as good. I don't know if it's possible to fall in love with RAM but these sticks are way better than the Corsair ones. Better quality, not cheap like corsair. Plus they're low profile. I don't know if you've noticed but the height is low to mid profile, and it has a little groove cut out along the top for some CPU cooler clearance. That's how you know they have your best interests at heart.

I was originally looking to get another piece of RAM to upgrade my PC, but when that ran out of stock I had to turn to alternatives. I decided to choose this after a recommendation from a friend and it has exceeded expectations. It works perfectly well when paired with my other piece of RAM of a different make, has has given me plenty of extra memory.I'd recommend buying a single 8GB stick, as it allows for a future upgrade to 16GB which should be all anyone will ever need. Plus you don't have to worry about matching two different 4GB's if you can find a pair you like.

30.7.2018

I was skeptical as to if this would run in Dual Channel with my larger 8gb Hyper X Fury DDR3 1600mhz, but I am happy to report that it runs perfectly with it. Having this additional RAM has eliminated stuttering I was getting on more demanding games, and I would recommend this stick of RAM to anyone looking to upgrade or add additional DDR3 RAM to their PC. Easy to install (As all RAM is of course) and it looks nice too. The only reason I gave it a 4star on "For gaming" is because I would recommend a larger 8gb stick if you have the budget and want the RAM for gaming.

11.12.2018

Not sure why it gives it's such a stupid name as it's just RAM if it's the same as the basic stuff it does the job it's not the fastest out there as is any DDR3 and has made no difference in my benchmark test compared to the old RAM that was standing RAM I bought it to double the amount of RAM I have in my computer so that's the only reason why it has benefited me the test was obviously down with only this new RAM in the PC and looking at the figures from the test before the RAM or swap Dover now all is in together and has shown a slight improvement in benchmark
