I bought this Hoya Pro-1 ND4 (2 stop) neutral density filter to cut down the light when shooting portraits - it allows be to get shallower depth of field.With filters, you very much do get what you pay for. If you have high quality lenses, don't scrimp on the filters you put in front of it.This Hoya is high quality and delivers very crisp results. I can hardly notice any difference in resolution when using this filter which is just what i wanted. Very little (if any) colour shift and is also low profile so it's slim and doesn't get in the way.I've bought several Hoya Pro-1 filters as they are always consistently high quality and worth the money.

This filter is very, very nice and works perfectly as it should. Reflections from water are just about eliminiated. Sunsets and skies are enhanced, plus due to the fact that it's an ND filter, slightly longer exposure times ensure some nice effects, such as smooth, blurry water - these effects can be achieved somewhat in the daytime, rather than waiting for nightfall.The only problem I have with this product - it comes with a little screw-in handle (about 1cm long), to allow the user to turn the filter around as they need to. This is fine, but this handle often unscrews itself and I've often lost it. I'm sure a little glue would fix that though.

Purchased the filter from Foto-Koester via Amazon, the service was excellent, despatched very quickly.The filter itself is brilliant and it does exactly what I expected it to do, no degrade of colours when used on long shutter speeds, my waterfall photography can only get better!

Having bought an ND9 some months ago, I decided that the ND4 would be the perfect `little` filter. I then worried -would it be enough? No worries - just enough to tone things a bit on a bright day. There`s lots of brand choice out there-personally I find Hoya does it for me

I have used this filter quite a few times now and it does exactly what it is supposed to.Ther is no colour cast at all.There is no need to buy more expensive filters to reduce the light entering the lens.This filter will do the job fine.

Ideal for allowing flash compatible shutter speeds (1/160 - 1/250 depending on camera) on sunny days and keeping some control over depth of field.Solid and Sturdy, and I can't spot any colour cast (unscientific observations)

Another Quality Product from Hoya, Happily sitting on my 16-35mm f2.8 II, this is the 82mm version, its a good 2 stop filter, ideal for changing the contrast of architecture and skies, highly recommended.

Surprisingly, given the weather of late I actually used it this weekend! It performed to my satisfaction as expected of Hoya products and I shall be shortly ordering a NDx8 in the near future

Brilliant filter. Has an ease of handling which others lack. Hardly noticeable effect on colours, worth the extra cost. Highly recommended.

Just what I needed to help reduce the amount of light entering the lens during filming. Would recommend this lens.

I in my opinion, the quality srcew in filters you can buy. I would not buy any other brand now. Very pleased.

Excellent ND filter. Images came out perfect. They are pricey but quality is there.
