I absolutely love this shower, however I've dropped a star because of a couple of problems that you should not expect at this price.Pros:- Solid quality look and feel- Fantastic rainfall shower head. Bigger diameter than most others- Non drip heads. Turn them off they go off.- Push button selection for shower patterns on hand held head- Beautiful action on the mixer bar turn knobs. So light that no lever is needed, even with soapy hands.- Absolutely constant temperature control, despite other taps/flushes/showers being used.- I could go on.....Cons:- Mine came short of a packet of two grub screws, which held up completion until Amazon sent me a whole new shower.I used the grub screws fromthe new shower which was later collected by Amazon. This seems like a sledge hammer to crack a nut but I'd tried around for the grub screwswithout success. I have to say that it was obvious when we received the shower first time that the box had been opened so I don't think this wasGrohe's fault. Fortunately for me my kindly plumber did not charge for the disruption and delay.- There is a major design problem with the shower that the plumber had to overcome to fit it. If it weren't for the many outstandingly good points Iwould have dropped it to two stars not four.The problem is based on Grohe designing the shower to use only screwed offset pipe connectors rather than wall mounted compression fixings.It may be that you already have pipework to suit compression fittings, most showers would use this method because it is easier to fit and because the alternative (offset screwed connectors) very often leak inside the wall. If you have these the Grohe design would require you to take off tiles, dig out the wall and fit connecting elbows inside the wall.If yours is a new install, like mine, any good plumber would probably recommend using compression wall plates to avoid the possibility of leaks inside the wall.The problem is that the Grohe mixer bar can't, without modification, be connected to compression wall plates. Grohe have their own patented design covers that go over the pipe-to-wall joint and to also cover the mixer bar nuts. You could leave this off as compression wall plates come with their own covers.If you leave off the Grohe covers the next problem is that the Grohe mixer bar is fitted with non removable BRASS pipe connector nuts. Other mixers have chrome nuts which are exposed. So you have to use the Grohe patented covers which include an inner sleeve which screws back to cover the BRASS nuts.The next problem is that when using compression wall plates, the Grohe patented covers, because of their inner sleeve will not fit over the wall plate.We had to buy a threaded male to female extension, fit this to the wall plate boss and fit the Grohe cover over this so we ended up with the Grohe cover fitted on top of the bought wall plate cover (visually this shows two chrome "doughnut" rings rather than one for each pipe). This also meant the mixer bar being 30mm further out from the wall (see photo)I am now satisfied that we have the best shower fitted with the best fixing method.Are you listening Grohe?

This is great - and I have fitted spotlights in the shower that can change colour - great showering experience. I start on the rainfall shower, then move to washing the shampoo out with the smaller head, change nozzle to narrow focus powerful jet wash type spray lol and then finish on the massage spray - wow!There is a note of caution though - we fitted it to a newly high pressure system - and the shower shrieked like an old fashioned steam kettle - really high pitched. Not a relaxing showering experience!! The fitters had to turn down some of the pressure to stop it.I would definitely go for this unit.

Well engineered with good quality components, easy to install (approx 2 hrs), looks good, overhead shower works well, while the multifunctional hand unit provides different shower options.My only minor gripe is that it is not possible to shorten the vertical riser pipe, and so check carefully that there is enough height between your plumbing outlets and ceiling before buying.

Had to order a replacement as product received. Not sure if this was due to how the item had been transported as box was quite squashed. Nevertheless, received the replacement and certainly not disappointed. Good control of temperature - with built in safety feature. The shower head is much larger than average but that is because it is a rain-shower, and it works brilliantly.
