SEPTEMBER 2016 - all still 99.99% fine after 3 years. Tiny flecks of black mould on the smaller silicone shower head wipe off very easily.OCTOBER 2015 - everything is still 100% fine.Unlike the first reviewer, I am a Do Yourself In (or Destroy It Yourself) dunce rather than a Do It Yourself person. I always have to use a little man from the village to do anything involving electricity, water, the two together, and so on.So this is a USER reviews, not an installer review, rather than the first technical or plumber review. In the last almost-a-year, we've had no problems at all. Temperature is always spot on, we've never got burned. Takes a minute to warm up, but that's becasue the boiler is downstairs. This is not a power shower or a rainshower or whatever they are called, but there's no need - there is great water flow and I always have the flow turned down low - I don't WANT to be blasted by water jets at 60 miles an hour or keep changing the jet patterns etc. My wife prefers it hotter and faster. I'm taking about water flow. The 'base' temperature is just right for me. You press a click-button, the safety button, and turn the dial to go hotter than this. The left handle 'dial' is on/off/rate of flow. Turn towards the ceiling for the main shower. Turn towards the floor for the hand-held. The more you turn, the faster the flow. Beautifully simple. There is a click-stop in the middle for off.The right handle 'dial' is temperature. One way for cold; one way for hot. There is a click-stop in the middle 'safe' warm temperature, so kids won't be scalded. (Unless they mess with the dial.)If I had to find a fault of some kind it would be that soapy hands (or perhaps more elderly hands with weaker grip) can't easily turn the controls easily, once you are under the shower. Soapy hands can't get a good grip. Wash the soap off! (Grohe do an uglier 'lever tap' version that would be better from that point of view.) But apart from that, we can't smile wide enough. The smaller hand-held, as the other reviewer mentioned, is chromed plastic. The hose for this is matt silver plastic; not metal or metal-sheathed plastic. I'd prefer a metal hose. But I hardly use this anyway. The main shower in not height-adjustable, but the main arm will swing from left to right if required. But that probably won't ever be required. We've had no probs with the shower head ever needing cleaning in the last year. That's chromed plastic, too. I was going to replace it with a square head, to match our square-themed bathroom, but it's so good, I'm not bothering to replace.I am a bit worried by the 1-star review saying that spare parts are hard to find - I wanted this shower to last a quarter of a century, by which time I'll either not be here or will probably be having bed baths. This is quite a basic model in the range, so I'm hoping parts will stay available - I've seen Grohe showers on our holidays in Austria, and they look ancient, but still working fine. Let's hope the new ones last as long.(Background info: our upstairs new shower is connected to a downstairs wall-mounted new Bosch combi-boiler. Much of the pipework seems to be flexible white plastic rather than copper piping. (All hidden away, obviously, under floors and behind walls.) We replaced our very outdated bathroom, shower, boiler and central heating rads all at the same time. We have a Grohe basin mixer tap that's also been fine. We binned the bath and went for a big shower, so have no Grohe bath taps to talk about.)Hope that helps.

After years of making do with only an electric shower I was faced with a choice when it finally broke down. Should I just replace it with another electric unit (the simple option), or finally get a plumbed in mixer shower? I'm pleased to say that I chose the more expensive second option and after sorting out the plumbing and re-tiling I had the Grohe Euphoria 180 in place. The showering experience itself is amazing! I've been lucky enough to experience some very good showers on my travels, as well as lots of poor ones but this is absolutely the best I've ever used. It's best likened to showering under a warm waterfall and the experience really is lovely.I am lucky enough to have good water pressure and a powerful boiler so have very good flow rates, but I was still surprised at how effective the shower itself is at delivering a great shower experience. The hand-held spray head has four different positions which are selected by turning the head around with the raised button. Their patterns range from a normal spray to a massage pulsing spray which is very effective. The main rain-shower head is not adjustable for pattern but can be moved to the left and right which is handy if the mixer bar is offset from the middle of the bath/cubicle. It can also be tilted to direct the spray if necessary. The shower itself looks very good when installed and has lots of shining chrome with an obvious quality feel to it. All apart from the grey coloured plastic hose which runs to the hand-held shower head that is, and which I didn't like the look of. My plastic hose also leaked when fitted so I switched it with another metallic hose which I already had and now it really does look amazing. It's a shame that Grohe have chosen to supply the one that they did because it not only looks very unstylish but it is also comparatively rigid and doesn't flex very easily which I found to be a nuisance. The supplied instructions are quite poor and rely mostly on small diagrams for an installation guide. In my opinion that isn't good enough for those who aren't good at DIY and in my case it helped that I did have an idea of what to do rather than rely on the handbook. One other thing that I was quite disappointed about was the Grohe technical helpline. I needed some help during the installation and decided to call them at around 4:45 on a Friday afternoon only to find that the service had closed at 4:30 and would not re-open until 9am on the following Monday. Luckily, I was able to find the answer from a knowledgeable friend instead. I did still try to get through to them during their opening hours but did not manage it and eventually gave up. It's also worth noting that their UK number begins with `0871' and so is a premium rate call which is not included in most calling plans.Overall I am pleased with my purchase but I do have some reservations. Firstly, I was disappointed with some elements of the product - most notably the leaking hose and its cheap appearance which is at odds with the great looks of the shiny chrome. I was also disappointed that the technical helpline wasn't available when I needed it and even when I tried to get through during opening hours they were busy. I definitely recommend this shower but my opinion of the manufacturer is not as high as it once was.

Really great quality shower, with a lovely overhead shower experience. Overall I'm delighted with my purchase. I spent a lot of time looking at different options and I think this one provides a good balance of quality, value for money and a great experience.Pros- Decent pressure from the overhead shower, and the handheld is average. I have decent mains pressure but a low-end combi boiler (specifications say max. hot water flow rate of 9.6l/min) and the overhead shower is a delight - it provides a really good rain shower experience. I almost bought the bigger Euphoria 260 for the bigger rain shower, but the head on the 180 is plenty big.- Nice finish. Water marks just wipe off (so far)- Seems decent quality, all feels very solid- The thermostat is perfect. Goes to the right temperature in seconds and never scalds or freezes. You can turn it off and on again and it goes instantly back to the right temperature. It'll also maintain the temperature if someone runs a tap.Cons- There's not a massive range of sprays from the handheld. With an option for a more concentrated spray you might get more pressure.

I didn't buy my Grohe Euphoria from Amazon but was recommended to have it by the plumber who came to replace the Aqualisa we'd hated for years. The plumber assured us we'd have no problems with this shower as he'd fitted dozens of them over the years and had never had to go back to one yet! And, although we've only had if for a few weeks, it really is superb both to look at and to use. As I say, we grew to hate the Aqualisa as it regularly needed expensive replacement cartridges and never managed to go longer than two years without a new one. Strangely enough it would start dripping just as the guarantee ran out.It also never felt as solidly built as the Grohe which feels as if it will stand the test of time. But when it's day comes, I'm sure we'll be going for another Grohe which is so simple to fit I'll probably do it myself next time. Highly recommended by me and my plumber.

I purchased this shower to replace an existing shower by another manufacturer that was nearly 3 times the price, unfortunately they decided to stop making the thermostatic valves, which were of poor quality and never lasted a year. This shower fitted the existing connectors perfectly, and just required a few new holes in the tiles. The shower itself works better than the old shower, and whilst doesn't look as bling as the old shower it is much better designed, most importantly the thermostatic valve is used in many of grohe showers, so should be available for years to come. I thoroughly recommend the shower, but be aware you do need atleast 1 bar to use the show,so a pump is required if you have a hot water tank.

Oh my goodness, I love this shower! Our plumber recommended Grohe products, and we chose this based on lots of good reviews. The pressure is brilliant, so you get a good flow even from the gentler "rain" head. The controls are very simple and clear (so no need to explain anything cryptic to visitors) and the switch between the two shower heads functioning makes a stop- click as you turn it, so you don't get that annoying shock of water coming out from the other head when you're trying to turn off your shower. And the attachment bar is long enough that we were able to fit the rain shower head high enough for our 6'5" lodger as well as the angled head a good height for me (5'4").

Having landed after a long flight I went straight for shower and my stress and tension were washed as I turned on the shower. I couldn’t help but ask the manager, this is how I came to know of the brand Grohe, and their model Grohe 27296001 Euphoria Shower System. Attaching the product in the shower itself will speak volume of luxury with its shiny and scratch resistant surface. One of the features that I just love is that the surface of the hand shower never got hot to touch even after running hot water. You even can alter the temperature and the rate of the flow at the ease of a swivel button. This experience has definitely left me contemplating about my shower equipment.

On initial looking at the parts seemed quality, so after renovating bathroom and replacing similar type shower, accidentally the mixer fell two feet on tiled floor and the the diverter hamdle broke clean off. So had to spend £45 for replacement part. Stupidly my fault but most of these valves are brass not a plastic like this one it would probably survived. Tried dropping the old no name mixer that had brass spindle tried dropping and could not get it to fail.(Rant over) But after fitting replacement valve and shower all looks good and works well.No it was my fault for putting on top of toilet seat, but let down by penny's being saved?

I would highly recommend the Grohe Euphoria shower, it's amazing. The power from the main shower head is great (although we do have a pressurized system) and the smaller shower is a bonus. The shower hose is a really good design as it doesn't have grooves in it so doesn't attract dirt, it's just a clean hose. The design and look of the shower is really sleek and modern, we are so pleased with our purchase. The plumber who fitted it didn't have any problems at all either.

This shower system is excellent, (I have another that is the same and been working flawlessly for more than a year now. The shower head replicates rain and distributes water equally through each of the holes! (The reason I gave this only a 4 star is because as with the other, the detacheable hand shower is on a plastic hose (which appears cheap in contrast to usual flexible metal hoses.) Grohe is expensive but usually worth it in saved repairs and long life!

Great great great great! Grohe quality at a very good price. The head shower is just lush. The only improvement maybe would be to have more grip on the flow tap to make it less slippery when you have your hand full of shower gel/ foam. It can be a tiny bit tricky to open again the tap using hand shower mode. Easy to use the shower head mode as there is push button system to switch to this mode. But can't recommend enough about buying Grohe. We are fan!

A very good quality well made shower. The Grohe euphoria has been fitted in replacement of a 10.8kw mira sport electric shower which was rubbish in comparison and only lasted 2 years! We decided to go for a shower run off of the boiler and after lengthy research I opted for Grohe as they have excellent reviews. Everyone in the house has voted it the best shower experience they've had and I agree. We would never go back to an electric shower.

Really great quality shower. Excellent instructions and easy to fit. Premium product but you really get what you pay for. This was bought to replace a poor quality Victoria Plum shower which I didn't even want to fit once it arrived. This shower has a real sturdy feel to it and now its fitted provides a great waterfall experience. The Thermostat works perfectly and keeps the water at a great temperature.

16.2.2014

This is my second Grohe shower and valve and I'm very pleased. I don't have very high water pressure, but the flow from this is a huge improvement from the shower it replaced and I don't need to do anything to adjust the water pressure as this shower seems to have sorted out that problem. It looks good too. Neat clean lines and a smooth hand shower arm without the ridges as in older style shower heads.

5.9.2017

Great shower for a fantastic price. We purchased 2 when they were on offer for our en suites and we so impressed we ordered a 3rd at full price for our bathroom.Good enough flow from the rain shower head means that I don't need to swap to the smaller shower head when washing my hair like I did with my old shower. The safety button feature for turning to hot is a bonus.
