Got this to replace the 5540 WWAN card in my Dell XPS 15 L502x laptop. The 5540 maxes out at 7.2Mbps, this can connect up to 21Mbps!In real world use, I usually got around 6-6.2Mbps on the old card - understandable given that some bandwidth is lost on overhead. With the new card installed, I'm getting 14Mbps+ at all times. I'm on Three in the UK, and use my laptop around London, and in Yorkshire.Even better, the GPS actually works on this unit (but that was probably a defective 5540 unit...).Installation is a breeze - 3 screws to open the center bottom panel, disconnect 2 antenna cables (make sure you get the WWAN card! Not the WAN card!), remove 1 screw and the old card pops up.

beware that even though the specs are ok, it is restricted and if you dont have a dell you will not be able to use it
