This snorkel has a good mouth feel for me and that is the feature I am most concerned about.I did very limited diving under the water but I was able to easily clear the snorkel and the float. The attachment for the mask strap is easy to attach and comes off a bit too easily. The part you have to wiggle over the strap. The quick release is great and comes out when you want it to and stays in unless pressed.I am mainly a SCUBA diver so this snorkel gets used when I am waiting to dive and looking at fish or returning from a dive and looking at fish on the surface. It is a required piede of equipment for me. I have used it to snorkel without dive gear in the ocean and in rivers. It worked well in fresh and salt water.I was with novice snorkelers who had different snorkels and they had trouble with the snorkel locking up and blocking air when the device designed to keep water out of the snorkel. I never had this problem. The water clear near the mouth also worked as well as any other (save my defunct ScubaPro snorkel). This snorkel like many newer snorkels is very wobbly. I came up with hard snorkels and I am still getting used to the modern wobble snorkel. There is a lot of benefit from actually using a wobbly snorkel as far as clean air to breath but when you transtion from the surface and under then back or out of the water this thing flops around in an unsatisfying manner.

Tried it out on a snorkel trip to Hawaii, and I really liked it. I mostly snorkel on the surface, or dive in shallow areas. This trip, my ears were clogged and I tried diving but could not clear my ears, so I really did mostly stay on the top. However, in very shallow dives, this snorkel stayed dry. I have a Tusa Hyperdry, which is not really a dry snorkel (Tusa does have a dry model), and I liked this Cressi better. For a snorkel, the mouthpiece was fairly comfortable. Most days when I snorkeled, I was out for 45-60 minutes, and it did get a little uncomfortable at the end, but that seems true of all snorkels I have tried.I liked this snorkel so much that I had my husband try it one day,but he was not as fond of it. He said it seemed to limit his breathing a bit, but then, he dove more and maybe he didn't realize that it shuts off your air intake when the tip goes under water. In a regular snorkel, the mouthpiece fills up with water so you know you are under and can't breathe. Since this stays dry, you might not realize that you ducked your head under water briefly and the snorkel shut off to keep the water out. Anyway, I liked it a lot and will retire my other snorkel permanently now!

I took this snorkeling in Kauai, and it worked well. The tube is pretty long so I never worried about the top being submerged. The "dry top" is some sort of mechanism that automatically plugs itself up when you go underwater. My only complaint is that during one snorkel session, I found the dry top mechanism plugged itself up, while I wasn't underwater. Maybe some sand got in and jammed the piece, but I shook it for a few minutes and washed it and then it unplugged. Then it worked great. Still, I'm always afraid just a bit, that it will randomly plug itself up.In the end, I lost the snorkel. If I were to buy another one, I'd probably go with this one again.

This dry snorkel is just as advertised. It performed very well keeping my airway dry and salt-free. The one-way purge valve was functional, but created a few issues when I dove a foot or two too far. It would leak until I did a shallow dive to blow the purge valve back into place. I took it on several trips with me and it works just as well now as it did before. I read a few other reviews that were critical of the clip. I tried to recreate those problems with the clips, but was unable to get it to unfasten (in a bad way) from my snorkel mask. It worked just fine even when I tried to be as rough as possible with it. Altogether, a great purchase.

I got his to replace an old snorkel. The old one wasn't bad, but it was just old. It attached to the mask with an figure-eight ring and the mouthpiece was not on a flexible tube. Just old. This was what I hoped it would be. The flexible mouth piece means that the mask doesn't get pulled away from my face when I adjust it, and the clip makes it easy to remove when I want to wash the mask. There was some comment about it restricting breathing because of the tube's oval shape. I didn't notice any difference between this and my old snorkel, which was perfectly round. Liked it enough to order one for my wife.

Bought this for a Hawaii snorkeling trip. Its a great snorkel, that really does not let any water in at all. I bought two, one for me and one for my wife. We used them for about 10 days of snorkeling and they were flawless. We both loved them. I was able to dive down, come up, and have a mostly dry snorkel that took just a small puff to clear, if needed. Also used them in pretty rough water during a trip to Molokini. In the waves, we still have dry snorkels and no issues. We highly recommend these snorkels!

I bought this for a trip to Mexico, where I snorkeled twice. Prior to this time, I had only snorkeled once - in Jamaica, using rented equipment. This dry snorkel is AMAZING! So easy to use (especially for someone inexperienced like myself). I had a great experience snorkeling this time, thanks to this dry snorkel. I didn't get a "gaggy" feeling from the mouthpiece. I have asthma and didn't have a difficult time breathing at all. Highly recommended!

This snorkel works well. My husband dove down several times while snorkeling and didn't get any water in the snorkel. We originally purchased it for me but I think I may need a kid size. I am petite and the adult size snorkel bothered me over long periods of time. So, I gave it to my husband who preferred it to a much more expensive snorkel he purchased at a dive shop. I will order another one for me if I can find it in a smaller size.

Purchased two of these for trip to Caymans for me and husband. These were excellent. Best snorkeling gear either of us have ever had or used. I never experienced any water in the mouth even in choppy waters or when I dove under water to get closer looks. I did intentionally put some water in and cleared during first day practice run by beach. It is easy to clear. I never had to do that in real use though. Excellent product.

i bought the cressi dry for a trip to the virgin islands for both snorkeling and diving. the snorkel performs as advertised and was put to the test with unusually rough conditions during 2 boat dives. we were in 3-4+ foot chop with strong surge; no issues with water in snorkel. overkill in calm conditions, but WELL worth it when things get dicey. highly recommend this and will continue to use with confidence.

I bought this to use with my Cressi mask and was very satisfied with it. I have only snorkeled one other time and used a snorkel that was open on the end. This one made my experience much more enjoyable because I didn’t have to worry about waves flooding my snorkel. I’m a beginner and this was easy to attach to my mask and was comfortable in my mouth. I had a great experience and highly recommend.

I use this for swimming laps in a pool. The key for me is comfort. The mouth piece is comfortable and the tube is very soft and pliable so there are no painpoints with this snorkel. The snorkel does stay dry if I swim underwater. However, if a do a flip turn I do get water in the mouth piece. I do understand it was not designed for this application.Nice snorkel I would buy it again.

Just used this mask for snorkeling in Hawaii for three weeks. It was the first time I'd used a dry snorkel. I loved the fact that waves didn't cause water to come in and when I dove, I just had to hold my breath and go! If I got water in my mouth (mostly from laughing when I saw a huge sea turtle or something else really cool), I could just clear it by blowing out. Highly recommend.

I went through a few snorkels for diving and didn't like any of them until I took a chance on this one. Strong and flexible and keep all the water out of the pipe when diving. If I have water in the pipe, from removing it from my mouth, the front water escape is perfect to expel the water without trying to blow it out the pipe. Love this and will be ordering more for my family.

I got this item as a Christmas gift so haven't used yet. However, it it is a dry snorkel. Those are the best kind to use because water does not ever splash into the snorkel and it matches the mask of the recipient. While I like to patronize the local dive shop, sometimes you got to look further in the name of fashion. It arrived promptly and was well packed.
