This is a great tire. I have ridden it in a variety of conditions so far in the Montana spring from loose gravel, hard pack, mud, snow, rocks and wet roots. The only condition that gave it any trouble was a patch of wet roots (but this was probably my fault for riding at 10:30pm in the rain and thinking that I would get traction with a 45 degree side grade and then realized my mistake and tried to brake as I was going over it). Every other condition has been great with this tire. I have the 2.4 with black chili up front and a 2.2 in the back with out it. The black chili really works great and is a noticeable difference from the other version. I like the combination of the two on my bike.

These tire are the best ever. They will have you thinking you are on a new bike. They corner great, stick to everything, and in the 2.4 version they are massive. They measure more than an inch taller than any other tire I've had on my bike. Who needs a 27.5. I live in St. George, Utah with some of the best riding on then planet. Freeride, slickrock trails, singletrack, whatever, this tire does it well. Love them. You MUST get the Black Chili version though, the others are not the same. They are made in China or something instead of Germany.

These are big tires. Took them to Tahoe for some technical rides with a combination of hard rocks and loose dirt. The tires were outstanding. They really hooked up well on the loose dirt and held up great with a major beating on the rocks. I did have one pinch flat when running about 30 psi and dropping a couple of feet onto a sharp edge of granite at about 15 mph. No damage to the tire, just the hassle of replacing the tube while riders I've been passing catch up.

My overall all time favorite trail and all-mountain tire. This tire rocks! Very confidence inspiring. It just sticks. From rock gardens, flow trails, tight switchbacks to fast loose fire roads this tire really impresses. Depending on how much abuse it gets during a season I can get about 500 miles on the rear and about 1,000 miles on the front. My riding is predominately in N California with some shuttle runs in Downieville and Northstar resort.

Installed it on my Norco Killer B as Tubeless front tire with 25psi. Sidewalls are thick, grips really well on so.cal dry trails. took it to mount pinos and del cerro, so far I am really happy with this tire. I will be buying another for the rear.Update: 12/29/15, Just ordered and installed another one for the rear!

Continental Trail King is still one of the best all mountain tires money can buy. I rate these about equal to Maxxis Minion DHR II. The German-made Black Chili compound tires also have true sizing, the tire size measures the same as printed on the sidewalls.

Very aggressive tire grips really well in all terrain the black chili compound is nice and soft, but you can definitely feel the roll resistance and it rubbed the swing arm on my trek fuel had to trim the knobs on one side to get some clearance.

durable and tough. they also look great. the tread design helps me keep stable in loose gravel and sand. side wall construction looks like they were built to be resistant to punctures and separation. this was a good buy.

Good side wall protection. Corners well. Seems to stick well on the dry and wet surfaces here in New England. I only have about 40 miles on it, so not sure how it holds up over time.

Good tyre bought it from amazon when it was on offer good mtb tyre in the mud when putting the tyre on the rim use a little washing up liqid to get it over the rim.

So far so good. It rolls fast and the brake is on point. But please get the Continental Revo Sealant since it won't work with Stan's No Tubes sealant.

Easy tubeless setup on Sun Chargers. Tires handle great and offer excellent traction on PNW trails.
