Very tight fit, will be interesting to see how long they last as the compound feels very soft. I've just taken my Minions off for these and the improvement in grip on soft ground is impressive, under hard braking I'd be feeling for the Minions to start sliding before backing off or shifting weight, with these I've had to start gauging it from when the back wheel leaves the ground. I got them sliding on an off-camber corner and it's the slow, scrabbling for grip sort of breakaway, rather than the whoosh-and-you're-on-your-arse kind. Expensive, and I've no experience of their competition, but I'm impressed so far.Edit: Just thought it worth mentioning that neither of the two tyres I ordered (from different shops)

This tyre does lose me about 1mph on tarmac, but has handled excellently in shallow snow, slush, and muddy, leafy tracks (much better than my 'do it all ' MTB tyres). It's also narrow enough to fit on my hybrid at 1.8" wide. If there were a slightly less nobby version of this (a 1.8" Trail King?), I'd have it on all year round.

More like a mx tyre great for mud not great on roots. Originally bought it for front but ended up using it on the rear
