Even though they were already great, Continental has actually improved these tires over the years by adding Vectran and the really sticky black chili compound. I only get a flat every couple of years, and often just end up changing them when the tread finally wears out.I like the 4000GP tubular even more because they are easier to mount. Unfortunately, Continental no longer makes my favorite size (25mm), so I have gone back to using the Competitions.

The tubular comp 19 is all you need for grip with these perfect tires!You do not need to carry around the extra weight or width with a racing tubular -- why would you want to?The grip is, well, very very good -- the kinda grip you used to have to buy the wider tires to get.

This is the professionals tire- extremely well made and race durable, I have raced on these tires for over 20 years with only one puncture! A flat tire can derail hours of training and preparation for your important event, why take a chance?

Item was delivered quickly and met all expectations. Some of the best, all around tubular in the market. Good balance bewteen thread wear, resistance to cuts and suppleness. Over 2000 miles on two sets... No problems yet.

Best looking and riding tire on the market by far. Tire is slightly oversized however if you have very slight tolerances for clearance.

These tubulars are the perfect blend between light weight and durable. I rode on my last pair for 2 years and never flatted
