I bought this after being impressed by the Contigo coffee cup which uses a similar mechanism to prevent leaks and spills. It works great and I can chuck it in my bag knowing it won't spill unless by some freak chance it is upside down AND something presses and holds the button (really really really unlikely in my opinion). The one thing that might be a good addition would be a locking button like there is on the coffee cup to eliminate even this tiny chance of spillage; but this does just introduce more parts to be cleaned so I can understand why it isn't there.I previously was using a camelbak eddy bottle and I still like this, but it always spills a bit when on its side,

This water bottle is in such a great design, I wish I had known about contigo years ago. I have arthritis in my wrists as well as a neurological condition that causes me to have sudden jerks/ spasms as well as pass out frequently with no warning. On top of that I am bed bound and often have to drink lying down. I have had many supposedly spill proof cups leak all over me. As well as travel mugs. I have ordered two of the travel mugs from Zulily which is how I initially found out about contigo. I now have to wait weeks for my mugs to arrive, thankfully when I ordered my water bottle, it arrived the next day. I am now about to order another bottle as I need my water bottle constantly,

i wouldnt buy anything else, no straw, easy to clean, 100% spill proof, i was actually given my first contigo bottle for free by a contigo rep who i told him i didnt believe him when he described the quality as i had been though my fair share of beakers. i have since bought one for all the kids, myself, presents for others. i am so confident , by two year old can manage this easily, love them. keep an eye on amazon , i got some for about £5.00 a few months ago which my nieces were thrilled with ( well their mom were) .

I wanted to get a matching water bottle to my Contigo coffee flask. I liked the mechanism on the flask and this has a similar design. Please note, it is not the same design opening as the west loop coffee flask! The opening is a lot stiffer and does not come apart like the flask but it is comfortable to use and I haven't experienced any issues cleaning this. Holds a decent amount of liquid. Does feel very light which is great as it doesn't have any more bulk than required. Overall a great product.

Lovely size, smooth, no sharp edges and very easy to operate by its 8yr old owner. It's definitely leak proof so far but we've only had it a couple of weeks although it's been tossed in a school bag, taken to bed, been in the car and hasn't disappointed. Just need to play the waiting game now and see if it stands the test of time. I'm sure I read somewhere that contigo have a lifetime guarantee.... Will report back should it start leaking.

A work colleague admired the slightly smaller version of this that I bought a couple of years ago so when I drew her name in secret Santa, I knew just what to get her! She's using it daily at work so I guess she loves it. Brilliant quality and truly leak proof unless you stuff in packed bag do something pushes up against the release button. Hasn't happened to me yet.

Another Contigo Autoseal wattle bottle now in the house. No leaks in my current Contigo bottle, hence ordering another for my family. BPA free and much better for yourself and the environment than reusing unsafe (one time only) plastic bottles.

Expensive for what seems like a very light and thin plastic water bottle.... But, its definately leak proof and the water flows really well when drinking. I've started drinking a lot more. Washes easily on top rack of the dishwasher.

Great water bottle, drip free & easy to use - I have these in the house for night time drinks as I tend to knock glasses over as do the dogs & cat but these are bombproof.

I've loved this since I bought it. Very good quality with lovely bright colours. Has yet to leak, even when full and held upside down or shaken around.

The contigo range are excellent. This bottle not quite as good quality as others previously purchase but still excellent.

Best water bottle have had. Easy to operate with one hand and closes automatically when button is released.

Exactly what I wanted and it doesn't leak. It is pricey but it's worth the money so I recommend it.
