I struggled to find much choice for a 39mm thread size for my Fuji XF60mm macro lens.I usually use Hoya Revo UV filters (mainly for protecting the lens) but they don't do this size.I read the reviews on this site and some Fuji forums and decided that I wanted protection which robbed the images of as little sharpness as possible - it is a trade-off between protection and lens performance. The filter is very small both in diameter and thickness. The glass has a greenish tinge when it catches the light but you cannot tell it is on at other times - a good sign!Well after taking a number of architectural shots and macros, I am extremely pleased with the results of my razor sharp lens and this is with the filter in place. So my conclusion is that this filter seems to have no or such little impact on image quality that its a keeper and worthy of recommendation. One minor point though - it is so thin the clip on lens cap will not grab the rim to stay on. I would really give it 5 stars for performance and 4 for design. However my lens hood is such that a lens cap can be forsaken.

I did a lot of research prior to buying as I recently bought a Fujifilm X100S with a serious issue as regards lens filters. If any filter fittedis too thick, the lens will hit the filter when the lens is 'hunting' to focus in Macro mode. This particular filter is supposedly the thinneston the market at 3.3mm and I can confirm even in Macro mode the lens will not touch the filter. Multi coated and good quality, this is a good, cheaper alternative to the B+W filters.Edit: There is a possible workaround with thicker filters. Buy a 49mm spacer and fit the filter of your choice or buy a double threadedvery cheap filter, break the glass and use that as a spacer. Thing is,this kind of action won't make the camera look great especiallyif the filters are black and the lens silver.

It's technically unlikely that such a thin filter will be *quite* as strong as one with more metal in it. (More glass too?) But I've seen nothing in use or in print which suggests any fragility of these Cokin filters. And they are beautiful. The coating is up there with the best of them, which means that if it's clean and no bright thing is reflected in it, the glass "disappears" and could swear you're sitting with an empty circular frame in your hand. And I must say that I think they are beautiful in your hand, and also mounted on a lens. You just see one milimeter of frame. Something about that minimalism just speaks to my sense of minimalism and aesthetics.

It is certainly "super slim" and looks very smart. It is ideal for wide angle lenses that tend to be affected by the frame of the ordinary filters, throwing dark shadows at the corners, however problem appears when you want to mount the lens cap. This filter is not deep enough for lens cap to fully grab the filter thread

This item appears to be very good quality although I haven't put it to the test yet. I would like to echo what a previous reviewer said: The standard 39mm Fuji lens cap will not fit well over this filter but the Maxsima 39mm one (available cheaply here on Amazon) will fit it securely.

Using this UV Filter on a LUMIX LX 100...and can confirm that it works very well with the with Petal Lens Cover - so far as I am aware this is the only Filter that allows the PLC to function. So well done Cokin !

My filter is on a Panasonic 12-32mm lens. It sticks out about 1mm from lens front. Due to size the lens cap does not sit flush and sticks out a bit, but is secure. All in all very happy with purchase.

Colin always did great filters and this is no exception. The case is also outstanding and will be kept to put I other filters in as I leave UV filters on to protect the lens.

Purchased for the Panasonic Lumix LX100 camera. The slim design allows the Panasonic automatic lens cap to close completely unlike normal size filters. Excellent.

Fantastic service and filter. This filter is a must if you have the Panasonic HCX1000 because a normal size filter stops the internal lens cap from closing.

This filter is a 'must have' for owners of the Panasonic LX100, as it is thin enough to be used in conjunction with the petal-style automatic lens cap.

these are the best filters for autofocus lenses with motors. They're light and don't add more than a couple of millimetres to the lens protrusion

The only filter that is thin enough for my Leica Type 109 which uses the auto lens cap (Leica or Panasonic) and works flawlessly.

A great filter. Very unobtrusive. I'm using it on my Zeiss f/1.8 55mm FE. The lens cap attaches perfectly. Excellent.

Excellent, thin & low profile allows my new lens hood to fit with out binding on the filter. Highly recommended.
